I am hopping on the Oubre bandwagon.
It has been an injury-interrupted start to the season for a lot of players. Big name players aren't immune, with Rajon Rondo having to battle though the pain barrier caused by a sore wrist for the next month and Dwight Howard sitting out a month whilst his strained achilles heals.
Reigning Rookie of the Year Jabari Parker is also playing in pain for the next four weeks with a sore knee he suffered during training earlier this week.
Rudy Gay is still recovering from the torn MCL injury that made him miss the end of last season. New Charlotte recruit Greg Monroe is still waiting to make his debut for his new team after suffering from the same injury as Gay. Luckily for him though the severity of the tear in his knee was only minimal and he should return to playing next week.
It hasn't been a happy start to the season for the Hornets with youngster Noah Vonleh playing restricted minutes for the next few weeks due to a sore knee and point guard Kemba Walker out for over a month with a broken hand.
Fans in New Orleans have quickly come crashing back to reality after the euphoria and winning the draft lottery and drafting Jahlil Okafor with the first overall pick. A 0-4 start to the season has really deflated the Pelicans and their fans.

They at least have something to be happy about today though after the team announced the signing of veteran sharpshooter Ray Allen. The former Milwaukee, Seattle, Boston, Miami and Philadelphia guard signed a one-year contract worth almost $3 million to play with the Pelicans this season.
Scoring was definitely something the team needed as Jahlil Okafor has struggled to find his rhythm in the NBA yet. The top pick is averaging just 4.5 points per game. Allen will play his role as backup to Eric Gordon and form the bench rotation with guys like Ryan Anderson, Austin Rivers and Omer Asik.
There was some significant new out of Cleveland this week with LeBron James and Kevin Love both agreeing to long-term contract extensions. Both players played key roles in the Cavs' championship win last season.
Elsewhere, Dwyane Wade signed what will likely be the last contract extension of his career, adding another three years to his stay in Miami. Roy Hibbert signed on for another three years in Indiana. There was good news for Timberwolves fans as well with big man Brook Lopez signing a five year extension. Lopez had been acquired in a trade that sent Nikola Pekovic, Kevin Martin and Corey Brwer to Brooklyn. Minnesota also got the pick that they used on Justise Winslow in that trade. Contract Extensions

OUBRE IS THE MAN

Why is that? Is there any option I missed in the game?

I really like Oubre. I thought about drafting Emmanuel Mudiay, but I felt that getting my own LeBron/Durant/Melo type wing scorer would be a better move. Plus, Michael Carter-Williams is solid.
Oubre has really surprised me with his three point shooting so far. Having him, McDaniels, Butler, Wroten and Hezonja sinking three pointers has really boosted my offense this season.
I think Oubre is a real contender for the rookie of the year award. Maybe he is a dark hose to be the sixth man of the year also. Depends if I decide to bench Harrison Barnes or not.
