AN: This is my first time making a story thread and so I want you guys to give me some feedback so that I could be better at this. Also, I'll warn you guys that I am not the best at Photoshop so if any of you are willing to give me a lay-out, it would be greatly appreciated.

Also, I am not the best at writing and I'm going to try some new things here (i.e. Half-time Show, Press Conference). Hope you guys follow this :D Critics are always welcome

Simple explanation on why I picked the Thunder:
I guess I just like playing with a young team that I know can develop to be a title contender.

Durant Looking For His Third Scoring Title

Oklahoma City, Oklahoma-

Oklahoma’s star forward Kevin Durant is only 25 years old but he has proven himself as one of the best scorers in the NBA.

He has three scoring titles in his belt and he has recently joined the 50-40-90 club, a feat that has only been reached by six players including Durant, Nowitzki, Nash and of course the Hall of Famer, Larry Bird.

What’s surprising about being a member of the 50-40-90 club is that all of its members became Hall of Famers.

Image
Durant #35 drives to the lane in last season's game

When interviewers asked Durant on his latest achievement, the young forward replied that the achievement is a gift from God and that he will continue working on his game to capture the ring.
Will Durant and the rest of the Thunder overcome the teams in the wild, wild, west or will they crack under the pressure?

Grant Jerrett parts ways with Oklahoma City Thunder

It was the decision of the new GM of the Thunder to let go of Grant as he explains that he thinks it would be much more better for Grant if he applies to a new team mainly because of the Thunder's depth in the Forward position which means that he won't have any playing time soon and we fear that we are just wasting his talents here.

WESTBROOK- “I’m feeling 110% now”
Salt Lake City, Utah-
(3hours before tip-off)
The Oklahoma City Thunder guard Russell Westbrook shocked the news team as he said that he would want play at tonight’s game versus the Jazz.

“Im feeling 110% now, I think I’m ready and I've prepared for this the whole pre-season.” Said the smiling guard at the press conference.

“He said he’s feeling fine and our medical staff cleared him to play (Westbrook), so we’ll see.” Said coach Scott Brooks

Westbrook injured his knee last post-season versus the Rockets in game 2 of the 1st round of the playoffs. He “collided” with Rockets guard Patrick Beverly, knocking him down and injuring his knee.

The Oklahoma City had the chance to push for the title but it was halted by Westbrooks' injury but yielded great things for OKC. Their new backup pointguard Reggie Jackson shined at the spotlight, giving him confidence and experience sharing the load alongside Durant but then got eliminated in the 2nd round by the Grizzlies in 5 games.

Half-time show brought to you by Sprint

Hey guys, this is Damon Bruce bringing you the half-time show.

It’s been a nice game to watch here in Energy Solutions Arena, both teams going at each other, blocking shots and fighting for loose balls. This has been a very physical game for both teams with a total foul count of 15 from the Thunder and 8 from the Jazz.

For the Oklahoma City Thunder, it has been great offensively and defensively and we’re definitely seeing Westbrook running down the floor actively. It has been a good day shooting the ball for Durant as he had managed to hit 2-2 of his 3 pointers and has 16 points meanwhile; rookie starting Center Steven Adams has been in foul trouble amassing 4 fouls in 2 quarters of playing.

While it’s all good for the Thunder, It's been a bad shooting night for the Jazz as Hayward only shot 5-11 from the field. Also joining him in a bad shooting night is the rookie Trey Burke who is shooting 4-13 and Alec Burks shooting 3-12 from the field.

Let’s see if the Thunder can hold on to a 3-point lead going to the third quarter.

Back to you, guys.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
AN: This is just an experiment to see if you guys would like it,if not I wont do it in the next games :D

Oklahoma City Thunder [0-0] vs Utah Jazz [0-0]
Durant’s triple-double and go-ahead lay-up leads Thunder past Jazz
Durant had a career night in the season opener against the Utah Jazz. He ended up with 52 points, 15 rebounds and 12 assists and a clutch lay-up to pull away from the Jazz.

Russell Westbrook didn’t show any sign of rust after he injured his knee last post-season, scoring 27 points, 5 rebounds and 10 assists.

Utah had a late run who came back from 9 points to tie the game from Hayward’s 3-pointer in the closing minutes of the third quarter but Ibaka’s posterizer on Kanter was enough to silence them for the remaining minutes of the 3rd quarter.

In the 4th quarter, it was Burke who carried his team from a 14-point deficit to a commanding five-point lead with only 45s remaining but Utah just can’t guard Durant who shot a 3-pointer with less than 30s remaining.

The Jazz had a chance to stretch it to a 4-point lead but it was Burks whose shot went short and it was Westbrook in transition for an emphatic jam which tied the game to 119-119.

But Kevin Durant was the one who put an end to the game whose lay-up banked in from the glass and won the game with only 0.7s remaining that spoiled Burke's career high performance in the season opener with 35 points 8 rebounds and 3 steals.

Image
(Photo:Durant #35 lays-up the game winner against the Jazz Oct.31)

“Only 10.3s left in the 4th quarter. Both teams are tied at 119 and Favors in-bounds the ball to Trey Burke.

Burke attacks the lane, losses the ball! Stolen by Westbrook who passed it to Durant. Only 4 seconds left!

Durant driving to the lane in transition with nobody on his face, he lays it up, BANKS IT IN! The crowd is stunned at the sudden happenings here in the Energy Solutions
Arena! They can’t believe it!
Durant has once again won the game for the Oklahoma City Thunder defeating 4 defenders in transition for the game-winning lay-up with 0.7s remaining. What a game that we saw here in Utah. This is Clark Kellogg and Steve Kerr from the Energy Solutions Arena, good night people. ”

Kendrick Perkins on the trading block?
Image
There has been reports about Kendrick Perkins being offered by Rookie GM Kevin Parker to solid teams with elite big man. Some notable teams that were mentioned were the Clippers, Pistons and Knicks.

The Thunder has been searching for an elite big man since post-season, sources say.

There are many candidates on who would replace Perkins in the young Oklahoma City Thunder roster.

Will they add veterans to surround their young stars? Or are they gonna fish for a bigger value player?

Half-time Show presented by Sprite

In tonight’s game it has been a blowup so far by the Thunder leading by 14 points and earlier had a 24-point advantage before the Timberwolves made a quick run to cut the lead to 14 points.

So far by the Thunder, everyone has been contributing so far. All of their players have scored at least one point in the team and as a team is shooting a whopping 67% in the field including 45% from downtown

But it’s another story for the Timberwolves as though they had ran out of gas. It has been a no-show for rookie Shabazz Muhammad as he has only shot 1-8 from the field. It seems like they are all in a bad shooting night as Kevin Martin has only made 4 of his 12 shots from the field and is 0-3 from the three-point line.

It has been a slow start from Kevin Love as he has only scored 6 points and 6 rebounds to lead the Wolves in rebounds and he has been bothered by foul trouble with 4 fouls only in the first half.

Westbrooks' shot shocks Wolves. Thunder won by 2
It was a very disappointing finish for the Wolves as they have been defeated by the Oklahoma City Thunder by only 2 points.
Durant finished with 39 points and 9 rebounds while Westbrook , who hit the game-winner got 29 points and 14 assists.

The Wolves were carried by Rubio’s stellar performance, setting up teammates left and right finishing with 18 assists and 22 points and Love who is the leading scorer of the team got 25 points and 18 rebounds.

This was a rollercoaster game, accompanied by several lead changes amounting to 9 and featured a comeback from the Wolves late in the 3rd quarter using a 12-4 run to tie the game at 96 apiece with Brewer’s spot-up 3-pointer at the corner with 1:25 left and the Thunder called timeout.

The Oklahoma City quickly dialed in offensively, sparking a 9-0 run right after the timeout with just 44s left in the third quarter but Kevin Love closed the 3rd quarter with a fading bank-shot against Adams.

In the 4th quarter, Thunder had a commanding lead of 5 entering the 2 minute mark but it was Kevin Love who was the hero of the squad.
He racked up a 3-pointer to make it 142-140 they are down by only 2 with 26s left. They don’t have a foul to give so they need to go for the steal but it ended up to Durant’s arms and he was quickly fouled by Corey Brewer who had then fouled out.
Durant made both free throws 144-140 with 23s left but Love answers back to a two of his own.

2-point lead by the Thunder 144-142 with only 13s left. But it was Westbrooks’ shot who lifted the Thunder past the Wolves.

Commentators:

“Durant’s shot missed, rebounded by Love, passed to Rubio, finds Love from 3-point line and SPLASH! Kevin Love hits the three-pointer to take the lead here in Minneapolis.”

“Adams is going to in-bound the ball, passes it to Westbrook who is wide open….BANG! The Oklahoma City Thunder wins it at the buzzer!”
What a game we saw here in Minneapolis!"

"This is Kevin Harlan and Doug Collins from Minneapolis, good night people!”

It’s been a great game so far with two stars battling for the upper-hand.

For Oklahoma, it has all been Durant’s hot hand that carried them. He is perfect from the field hitting 10 of his 10 shots and 3-3 from downtown.

Meanwhile in the Suns, the star has been Gerald Green, shooting 13-17 from the field and 3-3 from downtown to get a total of 29 points in half-time. Leandro Barbosa has been struggling in this game, hasn’t made any shot and is 0-8 from the field.

The Suns are down by 2 points going in the 3rd quarter and the steals are piling up for them and outrebounding the Oklahoma City with 13 offensive boards and only 1 for the Thunder.

Adams comes up big in Suns thriller

The story for tonight’s game is the showdown between Gerald Green and Kevin Durant.

With the Thunder playing their first home game this season, it was an absolute performance by Durant and Green.

Durant finished with 51 points who was hot from downtown and was firing in all cylinders missing only 4 shots in total while his matchup Green had a big game too. Green ended up with 50 points, a new career high and only missed one 3-pointer.

It was a very physical game for both teams totaling a foul count of 27 for the suns and 19 for the Thunder.

It was a close game in Chesapeake Arena but it was in the 4th quarter that the game picked up. It started with Ibaka beasting in the paint, shooting 5/7 in the 4th quarter to finish with 10 points in just the 4th quarter.

The Suns made a comeback in the last 3 minutes of gameplay and took a 4-point lead with 2:52 remaining in the 4th quarter but Westbrook hits two free-throws to cut the lead to two.

Quick baskets by both KD and Russell gave Oklahoma the lead 149-145 with only 1:55 remaining in the 4th and that ignited the crowd but an and-one dunk by Green silenced the crowd but misses the free-throw but Okafor rebounds it and lays it up to tie the game to 149 apiece.

Westbrook clunks the go-ahead shot and rebounded by Tucker who was fouled in transition and only converted one free-throw. (150-149) But Dragic stole the ball from Lamb who lays it up in transition for a quick two and stretched the lead to 3 but was quickly countered by Durant’s 3-point play which tied the game to 152-152 and

Ibaka was fouled but only managed to hit one free-throw with only 22s left.

Green answered back using a floater with just 11s left to take the lead, 154-153 but this time, it was Adams who rescued the Thunder who got fouled and converted a 3-point play with only 1.2s left.

Heat dethroned by Thunder in Power Rankings

The Oklahoma CIty Thunder is now at the top of the ladder because of their recent performance and the unfortunate event that happened in Miami.

Miami lost their star player LeBron James with a Torn Hand Ligament last game and is expected to be out for 6-8 weeks while the Thunder has still been undefeated this season, hosting a 3-0 record and is now leading the league in the Power Rankings

Thunder acquire Jordan from Clippers for Perkins

Oklahoma City Thunder GM made an interesting move dealing Kendrick Perkins for DeAndre Jordan.

When ex-teammate Serge Ibaka was asked by the sudden move of their new GM, the forward from Congo shared his moments with the center, saying good luck on his career and hopes that they can move on with it.

But when GM Parker was asked about his sudden move, he said that Jordan would help the team in pushing for a championship and he thinks that Jordan is a great fit for the Oklahoma City Thunder who has been struggling rebounding the ball.

“I just hope this will turn out well for us.” Said superstar Kevin Durant

Jordan set to start debut game versus Dallas

Jordan sure is a fit in the Thunder organization as he has entirely gained all of the crowd’s trust and attention in his first game as a member of the Oklahoma City Thunder.

You can hear the hometown crowd chanting “Jordan! Jordan! Jordan!” when the starters were being introduced.

The Texas native center who got drafted by the Clippers using the 35th pick back in in the 2008 draft was acquired from the Clippers last night and was emotional when he said his goodbye to Chris Paul and Blake Griffin, his two close friends in Los Angeles.

“I just hope this benefits me too, man.” Said the teary-eyed Jordan when asked about the sudden move.

Meanwhile, the Thunder has been keeping the streak alive. They now currently have 3 wins and 0 losses and are looking to defeat the struggling Mavericks (1-3).

This game has been fun to watch so far, this is Damon Bruce bringing you the Half-time Show presented by Sprint.

For the Thunder, the fouls have been piling up with the newly acquired Jordan amassing 4 fouls in just 2 quarters of playing.
It has been a great game for Westbrook and Adams as they carried their team through the 1st half and not to mention Durant’s night, he currently has 23 points and has hit two shots from downtown.

It’s the same with the Mavs as Dirk Nowitzki is perfect from the field, hitting all of his fade-away shots but has not been good at guarding D.Jordan who now has 10 points while Dirk only has 8.

It also has been a fun shooting night for Monta Ellis as he has 20 points in only the 1st half shooting at 67% from the field.

This game looks promising as ever as the Thunder is only leading by 1 point (79-78).
Back to you, guys.

Thunder cruise past Mavs to win 4th straight game in Jordan’s debut
Newly acquired Center, DeAndre Jordan has started for the Oklahoma City Thunder and has proven himself as one of the cornerstone in the team’s recent success. Jordan, whose first basket was a transition dunk from Westbrooks’ pass, was named the player of the game as he finished with 38 points, a new career high.

It was a close game in half-time with the Thunder leading by only 2 points but it was DeAndre Jordan who was the game-changer in tonight’s game as he posted 38 points to go along with 8 board and 3 blocks. Of course, Durant came second in scoring with 29 points while Russell Westbrook had 19 and 13 assists.

In the Maverick’s, it was Monta Ellis who led the team in scoring with 36 points paired by 9 assists but didn’t make any shot from downtown (0-5). Second to him was Vince Carter, who slowed down in the 3rd and 4th quarter, finishing with only 22 points.

At the start of the third quarter, the Mavs played with passion and yielded a 13 point lead in the first 7 minutes of the 3rd quarter but when Jordan came back, who by then had 4 fouls did his job as an elite defensive anchor and did his job in the paint both in scoring and rebounding. He had 15 points in the 19-2 run built by the Thunder and was capped off by Durant’s 3 with only 1.3s before the ending of the third quarter.

It was smooth sailing for the Thunder in the 4th quarter, mainly because of the absence of star forward Dirk Nowiztki who had fouled out with just 2:32 left in the 3rd.
