Powering up the bench
Memphis Grizzlies Signs F Linas Kleiza for a 2 year deal. Also acquiring Sean WIlliams for a 3 year deal.
The season has begun! Which is the main reason for the Memphis Grizzlies to start of the season with some huge signings. Acquiring Solid Big man Sean Williams. a former Back-up Center for the New Jersey Nets, Well he will be acquiring the same role here in Memphis and we'll be looking forward to his progress this season. The other acquisition is Long-Range shooting Big Man Linas Kleiza, Who has formerly averaging 11points, 4 rebounds of the bench for the Denver Nuggets, He sure will contribute alot too off the bench here in Memphis, and the Staff has high expectations off him.

Kleiza fakes "Big Baby" Davis to get an easy hoop inside, his first FG as a Grizzly
Mayo tries to keep his team alive in the 4th quarter, with a huge slam for his 30th point of the night, but fell short as they lost 114-110

Overall, it was a good game for me, we nearly had them as we outscored the Celtics to 7in the 3rd quarter, our largest lead of the night. The only downside in this game is our bad passing ability in the 2nd half, we gave around 9 Turnovers in the 2d half while the Celtic's only have 3, and Rondo and Pierce are both too hot to handle in the 4th quarter, and with Rudy gay with 5 fouls, we don't have a decent defender on Pierce, so yeah, It was a great start for our season.

The Move
Memphis Grizzlies Trade Guards Mike Conley and Jamaal Tinsley for Buck's Star Point Guard Brandon Jennings.
I think it was a good move in my part, i know there's still big potential in Conley plus also losing Tinsley in the process, but i am seeing bigger potential in Jennings, So i'll looking forward to his progress as the season goes on.

Starbury as a Grizzly
Memphis Grizzlies sign former All-Star PG - Stephon Marbury for a 2 year deal.
Just after acquiring Jennings, we took the big risk by trading both of our Guards, but worry no more, as Veteran Point Guard Stephon Marbury takes it back into the spotlight, as he sign for the team in a 2 year deal, We'll be expecting much off him from the bench as the season progresses.
Other Notable Transactions
Atlanta Hawk signs F - Josh Childress for a 1 year deal.
Washington Wizards signs F - Stromile Swift for a 1 year deal.
Milwaukee Bucks signs F/G - Desmond Mason for a 1 year deal.

Marc Gasol - 19 Pts | 6 Rebs
Ronnie Brewer - 11 Pts | 3 Rebs | 3 Asts Off the bench
Zach Randolph - 9 Pts | 11 Rebs | 4 Stls
Highlights
Ariza starts off the 1st quarter with 2 back-to-back three's
Brewer slamming it down from both ends of the floor
Grizzlie's double teaming is working very well against the rockets
__________________________________________
At first, we we're trailing the rockets by 6 in the first quarter, due to Ariza's red hot start, and thats as far as they can get, as Mayo-Gay-Jennings trio started to burn in the 1st half. In the 2nd half, we continued our lead and went as far as a 32-point lead, biggest lead in the game. Our Big men duo Gasol-Randolph both combined for 15 points in the 2nd half, and 12 rebounds. Jennings went red hot on this one, same goes for Gay, who didnt did quite well in our previous game against the Celtics. While Starbury did'nt do quite well as expected, being scoreless but grabbing 4 rebounds. Overall, it was a very good game for us, despite our poor passing ability, and our capability of handing down lots of turnovers, it still went pretty good.

Overall, it was a bad passing game for me, We gave alot of turnovers away, and that cost us almost a loss. In the 1st quarter, the spurs were trailing us by 10, but then they still managed to chase us back due to our bad passing ability(Jenning with 8 TO). In the 2nd quarter its quite of a similar story, we get the lead by 6 until in the final moments of the 1st half the Spurs began to deliver huge threes to take the lead in the end of the first half. In the start of a second half was a shootout between Mayo and Manu, both were On fire as they began to shoot threes at each other. but yet again, Memphis prevailed at the end of the quarter and in the rest of game.

Gay with another huge slam.
Mayo hits a clutch jumper over Roy.

We were close of losing this one, they were really into us in the 1st half, we trailed them by 11, but we kept attacking and attacking until we reduced the lead to 4 to end the 1st half. In the 2nd half, pretty much a different story, since Mayo started off firing threes and clutch jumpers all over the Rose Garden, and of course, the Hometown hero Brandon Roy also shows his clutch as the two began to have a huge shootout, Overall, i think we didn't do much team-play in this one unlike the previous games, Jennings barely had any assist, and so did the rest of the team. So hopefully we can improve in the future games to come.
