My Player - Chris Webber - debut in OKC Starting 5

This is going to be My -- Player story. I decided to take Chris Webber as my headliner. Webber was one of the most promising talents in the early 90's. For sure he had a great career, but high expectations and injuries prevented him to become a NBA Champion.

For those who have already seen my Bulls retro Dynasty know that i am no big story writer and not a man of big words. I try to keep focus on stats, results and some plain recaps about the League and played Games. So dont expect too much

C-Webb is back. This might sound strange, well its just the way it is.


Chris Webber a very talented high decorated player from the University of Michigan tries to settle down in the NBA. Webber is known for his well-rounded basketball skills. His main position is the Power Forward, but he can also play the 3 or as a Center.

Chris Webber passed the Draft Combine with a decent performance, he was predicted to be a high first round pick.


1st round - pick 26 - 2010

Finally the Oklahoma City Thunder caught interest in him. Webber was invited to the Summer Circuit where he is going to play with the other prospect squad and show if he is ready for the NBA.

Summer Circuit Part I

The first Game of the Summer Circuit turned out very succesfull for Chris Webber. Together with Serge Ibaka the Thunder dominated the Trailblazers team. Webber showed tremendous stats on both ends of the floor.

I know My Player mode has still some problems, i hope this won't get a "One Man Show" like it often turns out after some games. I still try to keep it a kind of realistic, well the Thunder are not my first choice but i try to stick with them in my Rookie year.

Yes, thats definitly my target. I think i may be on a good team for that, but 10/11 will be hard because tragedy happened in OKC.

Webber debut - Durant strong

Chris Webber had his first NBA game tonight. The Thunder welcomed the Chicago Bulls at OKC. Webber was allowed to play 15 minutes as a backup for Ibaka and Jeff Green. He did his job very well scoring 12 points with a percentage of 63%.

Kevin Durant showed an impressive performance , he finished the Bulls with 41 points, 24 of them in the first half.

Foul trouble

No problem for the OKC in Detroit, it was once again Durant who led the Thunder to the 2nd season win. Chris Webber revealed some weaknesses today, he had a bad shot selection which led him to only 25% from the field. He also commited too many early fouls, after the first half he already had 3 .

Green out?

A shock driven through the Thunder fans when they saw Jeff Green on the floor crying for help. Everybody knew something serious happened to him. He tried to grab a rebound and landed very miserable. He tried to stand up but it was not possible, physicians and crew needed to carry him out of the hall.

It remained awfully quiet this evening despite the Thunder won the game against the Jazz.



Jeff Green, suffered an injury in the game against the Jazz. There is no medical outcome yet how serious he got injured.

I play it because its something completely different to my retro association, other roster, team, conference, game mode.

If Green really drops out this seems likely, because i was 7th in rotation. Even this is just a game i dont want to rise due to injuries of other.

What the f**k. I need Raymond Felton's injury to be a starter.

Suspicion confirmed Jeff Green drops out

The worst case scenario became true, Jeff Green will miss the whole season due to a torn achilles. Chris Webber the young talented athlet from Michigan is going to start as a PF and take Green's place.

Webber only played three games yet and becomes now a NBA starter in his fourth game. Webber had some decent scores in his first three games, but if he will be able to fill Greens space is very doubtable.

There are no comments yet if the OKC leadership plans a trade to compensate that bis miss.

In the Clippers Game i looked very good with 17 points and 9 rebounds, but the keygame against Portland was really bad....
