ESPN.com wrote:WIZARDS START ERA WITHOUT ARENAS
The Washington Wizards have decided to part ways with their troubled but talented player, Gilbert Arenas.

The Wizards traded the 3-time All-Star to Phoenix for Jason Richardson, 2011 2nd round pick, and a 2012 2nd round pick. If Gilbert leads the team in scoring, the 2012 2nd round pick will be upgraded to a 1st. However, if Gilbert plays in more than 70 games for the Suns, the 2011 pick will upgrade to a 1st. However, if the 70 game barrier is broken by Arenas, then the 2012 pick will remain a 2nd rounder.

After Gilbert Arenas was arrested, he became more concerning for the Wizards, including faking an injury, then lying about it and saying he was scared of being booed. "I wish Gil the best of luck in Phoenix, but I think it's time for a change," said newly hired GM Willie Lewis, who was hired in the Summer. "Sometimes, we have to part ways."

Jason Richardson can be a spark though, and, as confirmed by Flip Saunders, will play the small forward position. He may get off to slow starts, but the former Sun can lead a team.

This now makes John Wall the star. He will be alone, no other Superstar with him.

"I'm ready. I'm ready to beat the odds."

I like that idea. Makes you keep an eye on the other team and see what you end up with. (Y)

How do you actually work the trade in the game? BTW I got Kevin Martin, Brad Miller and 1st round pick for Arenas in my offline.

Good choice with J-Rich plus he only has 1 year left on his huge contract...
Good team choice, don't trade away Blatche he will turn out to be one of the best power forward in a couple of years. Are you going to start Hinrich or Young at shooting guard?

Re: The Great Wall of Washington

I won't trade Blatche, he's too good

Yeah he can be a 20-10 guy someday. What are your plans with Yi Jianlin and Javale Mcgee?

WOOOOOOOT!!! J-Rich!!!

Horrible for Phoenix though. They will be sub-.500 in your association.

Orlando, FL (AP)- The long awaited debut of John Wall has finally passed. The game itself however, did not expect to be this close.
The Orlando Magic pulled away 100-94 in Overtime after blowing a 15 point lead, in their first game in the new Amway Center. "We wanted to open the Center with a dominating win, but a win is a win and that's what matters." said coach Stan van Gundy. The Wizards, who came into this game a 20 point underdog, proved the critics wrong with John Wall's unbelievable plays, and Andray Blatche's clutch shots. "I always thought that being the star of a team is a hard task, but damn, I never expected this to be as hard as it was."

The Magic and Wizards were close in the beginning, but the 2nd quarter is when the Magic started pulling away, outscoring the Wizards 28-13. The Wizards came back, with Blatche heating up. After only having 4 points in the first half, he finished with 23 points and 17 rebounds. "John [Wall] was giving me great passes from Pick and Rolls, and our perimeter shooters were keeping us in the game." John Wall finished with 23 points, 5 rebounds, 11 assists, and 5 steals. He showed his urge to carry his team by shooting 30 field goals. "Sometimes, you need to carry a team. I should'nt have taken that many shots." Newly acquired Jason Richardson had 16 points.

However, Dwight Howard and his boys stepped up in Overtime, outscoring the Wizards 17-11. "You know, when you see Vince [Carter] chunking up shots, it's an opportunity to get rebounds. Rebounds give you points. Someone, get me a cape." said Howard, responding to questions about Vince Carter's horrific night. Carter went 5-35 from the field, 1-16 from behind the arch. The only good thing about his game was the 9 free throws he made. He ended up with 20 points. "I did horrible." said Carter, who then did not answer any more questions. "The future is bright for us," said Coach Flip Saunders "We will become better, trust me."

Great debut by Wall. Wish you still had Agent 9 on the team though.

You ripped off the Suns with that deal. You will get the Suns' 1st Round pick in 2011 since 2k will have him playing at least 75 games. It is 50/50 whether you get 2012 1st Round pick as don't know if Arenas or Nash will lead Suns in scoring. So deal is really Arenas for J-Rich, 2011 1st Rder & 2012 1st/2nd Rder. Given Arenas' contract, I think you should've given him with your 2011 1st Rd & 2012 2nd Rd pick just to offload him (Y)

Unless he gets injured. I'll prob attach a 2nd round pick 2012. I'm not sure though

I'm more talking Arenas' terrible contract, which hamstrings the Suns' franchise for years to come. Any less than Arenas & two 1st Rounders for an expiring seem like a bad deal for any team. If you were taking a longer, big contract like Elton Brand's back, then I wouldn't mind it as much.

Good luck with this though (Y)

Man what a game this was. An absolute shootout from start to finish.
Atlanta's man, Joe Johnson was on fire. 38 points, and he was draining every three that the Wiz gave him. They need to work on something called 'Closing Out'. Josh Smith made Coach Saunders cry, he dominated them in JUMP SHOOTING. He's decent, but Booker let him take too many open shots. Crawford ripped apart our Defense, and Horford grabbed more rebounds than we had between our two Power Forwards, Booker and Blatche. Oh yeah, Powell was injured after Wall ran over him....... Lol

We can't forget about the lovely Wiz. John Wall was a monster. 28 points and 16 assists. 16! That's more than Gil would have. Blatche had a solid 16 and 9, but he was horrible on the boards, letting Horford kick his ass. Blatche needs to rebound better. I mean, if a PF can't rebound, he isn't a PF. Anyway, the real surprise: Trevor Booker, the rookie out of Clemson, 28 points, and 5 rebounds. A monster night by him. He was dunking, lay-uping, and And 1ing each shot he took. Horford said after the game that Booker looks like him. Pff, that guy is a dumbshit. Anyway, that's ze recap. We lost, if you haven't noticed from the Sexy Numbers and Logos.

Thanks X, let's say Arenas didn't think that he was worth 80 million, so he took a 3 million dollar discount in his contract reconstruction
