Alright, a new game - a new try for me to do an association.
Just really trying to keep this one simple and not fall too much into the graphical part of this (even though I'm aware that those were probably the most popular qualities of my past stories), so that I can finally make some process on a story.
As for the team. Simple. I like their roster and the got sick jerseys imo. Also should be a good challange bringing them back into the playoff hunt.
Let's do this.
Game: NBA 2k11 on Xbox 360
Roster: Nogster's 10/14 w/updates
Difficulty: Pro
Sliders: mkharsh33's w/tweaks
Season lenght: 29 games
Quarter lenght: 10 or 11, need to check.

Eric Bledsoe | Baron Davis | Randy Foye | Eric GordonThe Los Angeles Clippers are led by 11 year veteran Baron Davis, who is entering his third season as the Clippers' starting playmaker. Davis' backup for the upcoming season will be Eric Bledsoe, a 6 ft 1 rookie out of Kentucky. He was drafted with the 18th pick by the Oklahoma City Thunder, but was later on traded to the Clippers.
On the two we have freshly-baked world champion Eric Gordon. The highflyer is looking to keep up his momentum going into his third year as an NBA pro. Backing up Gordon will be Randy Foye, who was signed this summer after finishing his contract with the Washington Wizards. He will be the biggest offensive threat coming off the bench.

Al-Farouq Aminu | Rasual Butler | Brian Cook | Ryan Gomes | Blake Griffin | Craig Smith Blaker Griffin had to watch his entire first season as an NBA player from the sidelines, which means that he'll be officially considered a rookie this upcoming season. The athletic Griffin has a lot to prove and carries, along with guard Eric Gordon, the future of this team on his shoulders. Starting on Small Forward will be new acquisition Ryan Gomes. On the bench there is another rookie in Al-Farouq Aminu, Craig Smith and sharpshooters Rasual Butler and Brian Cook.

Jarron Collins| DeAndre Jordan | Chris KamanIn his seven year career, All-Star Center Chris Kaman only once had the privilege to play in an NBA post season. Last year's scoring leader is looking to lead the Clippers again to the promised land, as he is helped by third year pro DeAndre Jordan and veteran Jarron Collins on the center position.

Good team choice. Was considering them, but hate their pink court.

OAKLAND, CA -- After leading by as many as 21 points late in the fourth quarter it seemed as if most of the Clippers players – and staff – already saw themselves in the next game.
Around the 4 minute mark in the last period the Clippers, who were already letting their bench warmers getting some minutes, witnessed their comfortable double digit lead vanish thanks to a late burst of the Warriors’ offense. The Dubs managed to go on a 19 – 4 run only to find themselves down by 6 points instead of 21 a couple of minutes back.
The Clippers were able to stay alive in the last seconds though, winning the game by six points.
“If [the game] went on just one or two minutes longer, we would’ve won it” said Warriors guard Monta Ellis, who chipped in a game high 33 points.
Until late in the third the game was very evenly balanced, the score at the break was a round 50-50.
Playing his first regular season game in his career, Blake Griffin struggled in the first half, only scoring 4 points. He picked up his game in the second half though, finishing with 17 points, 5 rebounds, 2 assists and a blocked shot.
Baron Davis contributed a large part of the Clippers’ offense tonight, even though he only scored 8 points on 2 for 8 shooting. What kept the offense in tact was his phenomenal passing, as he dished out 15 assists over the course of the game.
Rookie Eric Bledsoe had a decent game, scoring 10 points in just 13 minutes.
Eric Gordon was the Clippers’ high point man with 23.
In his first game in a Warriors uniform, David Lee had rough shooting night, scoring 10 points on 3/12 field goals. He did grab eight boards though.
The Clippers will look to improve to 2-0 when they face the Pistons back at Staples for their home opener.

Alright, bear with me here.
I thank everybody who showed their interest by posting, but i'm gonna go with a different approach for the association and I decided to switch to 82 games which obviously means I needed to restart this one.
So what I want you to do is to disregard the Warriors game, or see it as a pre-season game or something.
Updates will follow in a bit, I'm sure you'll appreciate the changes!

Remember though my record is 0-0.

Game #1: Portland Trailblazers 95 - 91 LA Clippers F
The Clippers were at Staples Center for their season opener against last year’s third best defensive team, the Portland Trailblazers. The Trailblazers, a team led by three-time All-Star Brandon Roy, were coming off an impressive showing on opening night against Pheonix, blowing out the Suns 105-83.
Rookie Blake Griffin had his hands full with LaMarcus Aldridge in his first regular season game, Aldridge chipped in 16 points in the first two quarters and 27 in the game, finishing as the night’s top scorer.
Griffin had a very solid outing, himself. Blake finished with a team high 23 points on incredible 11 for 13 shooting.

Up until the 4 minute mark in the last quarter, the Blazers were trying to hold on to their double digit lead but failed doing so when the Clippers went on a big run in the last couple of minutes, reducing the deficit to a single point with one minute remaining in the game.
With a chance to take the lead for the first time since late in the first quarter, with just 30 seconds left, nothing more than a wild chucked up three was in the Clippers repertoire for that possession. Two BRoy free throws pushed the Blazers’ lead to three with the shot clock turned off.
Eric Gordon, who was 3-5 from behind the arc up to that point, was the one to shoot for the tie in the last seconds, but a well defending Roy caused the shot to rim out.

Game #2: LA Clippers 75 - 102 Golden State Warriors F
In what was supposed to be a competitve game on paper, became the Clippers fate and first blowout loss of the season.
The Warriors didn't only came out of the gate running and gunning, but also forced the Clippers to commit a whopping 19 turnovers. While you have to give Warrioirs' defense some credit, it was tough to watch how horribly the Clips executed their set-plays. Everything that worked against the Blazers the other night wasn't working anymore.
Sending the Warrioirs to the foul line 28 times and only connecting on 10 on their own 21 attempts didn't really help their case either.
Worse come to worst, center Chris Kaman injured his ankle while rebounding the ball late in theird quarter. Updates on Kaman will follow the next days.
The Warrioirs Reggie Williams was the night's top scorer with 22 points, including 4 three pointers, in just 25 minutes of action.

Blake Griffin vs. Portland
23 PTS/5 REB/3 AST/ 11-13 FG

Nice job on using Blake Griffin. You will win.xD

Nice presentation, I think Griffin can have more boards than that.

After watching the Clips debut, Griffin can surely play better than that

He did play fuckin great against Portland. Dubs were an overall awful perfomance though.

Not only were the LA Clippers blown out by the Golden State Warriors, adding injury to insult, Chris Kaman tweaked his ankle while coming down from a rebound. The tough part: Kaman came down hard while going for a ‘rebound’ that was already called out of bounds because it hit the rear edge of the backboard.
After going through MRI it turned out Kaman suffered a severe ankle sprain and will miss two to up to four weeks of action.
Kaman averaged 10.5 points, 8.5 rebounds and 1.5 blocks in the first two games of the regular season.
Rotating to starting line-up will be third year man DeAndre Jordan

DeAndre can be good too,i love playing with him,he's really good rebounder .

This is looking pretty damn great, got to love the graphics, stand out really nicely and all, yet not too overdone or anything.

The start is not too good, but Blake's amazing and I hope his performance will get better, as will the teams.

Game #3: Dallas Mavericks 124 - 116 LA Clippers 119 2OT
With center Chris Kaman sidelined for at least 2 weeks, the Clippers were looking to bounce back from a tough loss against the Golden State Warriors.
Despite Dirk Nowitzki’s huge night the Clips were able to hold their own against the Dallas Mavericks in what was a very closely contested game.
Neither team was able to push off the other so we jump right to the end of the 4th quarter.

Down by three, Eric Gordon hit a big game-tying trey with just 6.7 seconds left in regulation.
After a Dallas timeout the Mavs drew up a play for Jason Terry which freed him up at the top of the key for a jump shot that couldn’t have been more dramatic because of the 5 spins the ball took on the rim before eventually falling out. Nowitzki grabbed the offensive board, one of many, and laid it right in. The Mavericks started celebrating until the referees waved the shot off after reviewing the tape. The German literally released the shot one tenth of a second too late.
A huge sigh of relief went through the Staples Center as we’re headed to overtime.
At the end of that period it was the Clippers this time that had the opportunity to win the game, but Eric Gordon had his shot rimming out in the last seconds, extending the game to second overtime where the Clippers simply started losing their focus and got outscored 12 to 4.
Dirk Nowitzki, as mentioned, had an unbelievable night, partially at the expense of rookie Blake Griffin, as he finished with 38 points 6 assists and a career high 24 rebounds (prev. 23). Interestingly enough he achieved his 38 points without attempting a single three pointer.
For the Clippers it was well-balanced team effort that kept them in the game for so long, as every starter scored in double digits.
