You should control all 30 teams and play with whoever you want to avoid boredom.

As good a time as any to bemoan the fact they took that option away when they rebranded Franchise Mode to Dynasty Mode.

I really don't have a "favourite" team, if I had to choose one it would be the Spurs because of Manu. The other two would be the Pacers (because of Reggie, Artest, S-Jax, JO, one of my favourite squads) and the Wizards when Gilbert, Butler and Jamison were together. As I said, I have the Rockets on mind for 2k11, but anything can happen until October.

Why don't you like the Rockets? They have Scola, who is Argentinian as well.

Yep, also like the Rockets and Scola is superb, I would say the best argentinian baller ever after Manu. :cheeky: I repeat, I don't have a "favourite" team above all the others. It can be any squad, really.

Good thread, shows how a D should be. Definitely a shame that I never managed to play more than one season or even reach the playoffs. Maybe Ima start another one with 2k11. Not too sure though since it is somewhat time consuming despite the fun I have with it.

I also think that if you play a few games before you start your dynasty thread, it has more of a shot of working out.

Edit: I should have mentioned unless it's a team you know you're going to stick with no matter what happens.

Yeah that's not a bad idea. Perhaps write up some recaps or at least keep a record of the individual game stats so you've got something to work with if you do go ahead with a Dynasty thread.

Ok so i got a Question. I wanted to try out a Dynasty/Franchise thing but

A. Ive never exactly been perfect in "english" class ( I Live in USA NYC don't worry i know grammar and stuff)
B. The Only Writing i can be very creative is in Poems/Raps as far as essays go there not my thing. And as far as pictures go well i fail at photoshop
C. I really do want to try it but i'm not exactly sure how to start/Format of my games (im working on it because i want to stand out from everyone). Im leaning towards a Story Introduction but Later on go more into details of the Actual games.

i was thinking of having a simple Newspaper layout for every game and write a couple of Info there, But im having trouble making that in photoshop as i cant appear to seem a follow simple guide correctly. http://psd-tutorialized.blogspot.com/20 ... ut-in.html <---

Question is if i cant even do that ^ should i even bother trying this? (And yes I'm very interested in the Franchise/Dynasty i decided to make in-game, I think of it as a State's Road to Redemption)

Definitely try it because it's a lot of fun to do and no one will get on you if your first attempt falls short.

As far as layout is concerned, try something that you can repeat regularly, for repetition in this field is highly desirable. I'd suggest keeping it clear and concise; all the pretty effects are nice but if you're only going to get burnt out from setting everything up, it's not worth it.

With the pictures, the later NBA Lives have servers to upload to. Any PC version can allow you to get screenshots as an alternative to that as well. As for banners, there's plenty of talent in the photoshop section of the forum who I'm sure would be willing to help if you ask nicely.

In the end, the most important thing is you enjoy it. Do everything how you want to do it because the survival of the dynasty relies on your interest, not everyone elses'...

...did that help?

yeah that helped a lot xD i got nothing to lose by attempting it. So i'ma give it a go, The main reason why i enjoy my current Dyanasty so much is because i took one of my Favorite PG's i grew up watching, Made him 11 years younger, Gave him a brand new team to lead from scratch/FA. And am having a blast atm. also i had fun righting the article so i think this might work out xD.

I still need to find out how to explain him getting 11 years younger in my story though o_o" that is my main problem right now lol

Uh...maybe he's also a time-traveler? Just to add some sci-fi flavor to your dynasty.

Wonder if he'll still be a star when (if) he reaches 20 years pro...

He hates him cause Kobe dunked in Nash's face and Nash had to lick his balls on that play.

Had Nash been a few inches taller, he wouldn't have to lick Kobe. And had it been Shaq who dunked on Nash, Nash would only manage to lick Shaq's shoes.

Not hating on Kobe, just hating on the Lakers. If Kobe was on a different team, I would not dislike him. Anyone who's on the Lakers, I dislike. Heck, if that scrub that's on my avatar was on the Lakers I'd dislike him.
