In an attempt to change the course of the team, Jay-Z the new owner of the New Jersey Nets will move the team to Brooklyn

It has been in the news before that the Nets will move to Brooklyn in the year of 2012 but after Jay-Z got the majority owner of the team from Mikhail Prokhorov, he did not hesitate to move immediately.

“In behalf of the Nets organization, I personally would like to thank the city of New Jersey for being a part of this great team. Sadly all things have endings but this is only the beginning for the city of Brooklyn. What I mean is change will come to this organization and my first order of business is…”

Julian Martin was all smiles when he heard what Jay-Z said. “Same old Jay-Z, he is still one crazy person.” Julian said to himself then he heard his phone rings. When he answered the call he noticed a familiar voice. “Hey Julian.” Julian noticed that it was the voice of his old friend Jay-Z. “Hey what up man, why did you call me? It’s been ages since the last time you call.” “Yeah I know man but I’m assuming you know what I did lately.” Jay-Z said. “Yeah man I know, you’re still the crazy dude I know.” The two went to talk for a couple of minutes. Then the call ended.

Julian had a big smile on his face, he sat on the couch looking at the ceiling saying to himself. “Two days from now, I Julian Martin will be name as the new GM of the new NBA team in Brooklyn.”

After Jay-Z announced that he will not use any players from the Nets team, questions about the team’s future is at doubt.

Jay-Z explains that the team will be known as an expansion team, every team record of the Nets will not be transferred to Brooklyn’s team. As for the players he also said that any team can sign them and even if they don’t play their contract is still intact. He also announced that there will be a new GM for the team.

Julian Martin, a 20 year old Filipino who is a close friend of Jay-Z will be the one in charge of the team. “I’m honored to be a part of this new franchise, as for the players I will only sign players from the free agent pool and maybe someone from the D-League or international leagues.” The young GM stated.

When he was asked what will be the team’s name, he looked the media with a smile and said. “The fans will name the team, we will hold a couple of days for the fans to submit a team name. Hopefully we can find some name out there to fit our team.” After saying that Jay-Z and Martin left the media.

So there it is a new team in Brooklyn will be born in a couple of days, this team surely is full of controversies already and with a bit of luck they should be a fun team to watch.

Brooklyn’s Roster announced today

The new expansion team in the NBA, Brooklyn whose name is not yet known announces the players that will play for their team. Unlike the other expansion team they did not get players from an expansion draft instead they sign players that are not playing from the league.

The players were introduced one by one by GM Julian Martin. Here is how it goes.

Currently playing for the Fort Wayne Mad Ants, please welcome Rob Kurz. He averages 17 PPG and 10 RPG for his team.

The next player is a national player of China but decided to give it another chance, Sun Yue. Standing at 6’9 he can handle the ball well.

Up next is another D-League player from the Austin Toros where he average 17 PPG and 16 RPG, Dwayne Jones.

This man currently plays for no one but still he had some experience in different leagues including the NBA, David Noel.

Next is another star in the D-League from the Rio Grande Vipers, Will Conroy.

The next one is still in contract from the Denver Nuggets but we are sure that he will play for Brooklyn, Coby Karl.

Next is a journey man who had lot of experience playing in the NBA, Brian Cardinal.

And now the starting line up. Standing 7’1 your center, Robert Swift. He did not find any playing time but this is a good chance for him to prove himself.

Next is your shooting guard, Morris Almond. At the D-League he is a respectable scorer hopefully he can do just the same here.

At power forward he is standing 6’9 and he has a decent outside touch, please welcome Brian Cook.

The next player used to surprise us by his high flying dunks and now looking to redeem himself. Darius Miles.

Last but not the least, a Brooklyn native you all know him as Starbury. Please welcome Stephon Marbury.

After the introduction the crowd got silence especially when the last two players were called. Well this is what to expect when you sent the likes of Devin Harris and Brook Lopez to the free agent pool.

I hope this team can compete in the league, let alone win at least 10 games.
