Team Noyzkie's Orlando Dynasty

Postby Noyzkie on Wed Mar 07, 2007 10:09 pm

I had a dynasty before but I tried to put the real staff.dbf that Andrew created on my save folder so it crashed, I was around in March then, I dont sim games so it was very unfortunate for me.

I started a new dynasty, again it's Orlando and I use POV 1.3 in the roster

Orlando Magic Dynasty
Level: Superstar
Quarter Length: 6 mins
Sim Quarter Length: 12 mins
Gameplay Settings: Default but I raised the free throw difficulty to 100 and also the Injury Frequency to 100 to create a more realistic feel to the game.

I also manually changed all the names of the staff of every team, (credit to andrew for the names, :D ) to even make it more realistic

So the franchise goes like this:

Team Personnel
GM: Noyzkie
Head Coach: Brian Hill
Asst. Head Coach: Morlon Wiley
Assistant: Randy Ayers, Mark Bryant
Trainer: Ted Arzonico
Scout: John Kuester

Team Roster:

Starting Five
C 12 D. Howard
PF 4 T. Battie
SF 15 H. Turkuglu
SG 7 JJ Redick
PG 14 J. Nelson

Bench Players
6th SG 33 G. Hill
SF 1 T. Ariza
C 31 D. Mililic
PG 30 C. Arroyo
SG K. Bogans
PF 40 J. Augustine
SG 5 K. Dooling

Injured/Reserved Players:
PF 45 B. Outlaw
PF 8 P. Garrity
PG 34 T. Deiner

(I had 3.40 M in my Hiring Staff allowance so I had the luxury of signing the best staff available)

Asst. Head Coach: Morlon Wiley A- Rumors: B+ Devolpment: A+ Leadership: A Specialty: Training
Assistant: Randy Ayers A Offense: A+ Defense: A Athletics: B+
Specialty: Rebounding
Trainer: Ted Arzonico A Specialty: Torso, Arms
Scout: John Kuester B Offense: B Defense: A Athletics: B
Specialty: North America

Training Camp: 06-07 Season
I figured that 40% for Offense 30% for Defense and 305 for Athletics would help the team prepare for the upcoming season.

I will try to post screenshots in the future but I forgot to take them, but the way my franchise goes, is every Sunday I assign players to train with Randy Ayers, 1st 3 weeks, I assigned T. Ariza then I assigned D. Mililic then so on.

I tried to scout players for the draft by having my scout see them 3 times, one for Offense, another one for Defense and the last one for Athletics. I also regularly check the rumor mill to see if a big trade is looming to happen

Rumors that concerned the team:
B. Outlaw contemplating retirement Result: True

Trades and Roster changes:
I will try to keep the team intact and dont do ridiculous trades to keep my dynasty as real as possible, the only move I made was to release B. Outlaw, since he is retiring at the end of the season.

The Games:

Orlando won 8 straight games (Chi, Phi, @Atl, Was(No jamison, injured), Sea (No Lewis, injured), @Ind,@Min,@ Mem(No Miller, injured) before bowing out to Den at home

I will try to post the stats later for reference:

Injury bugs the team:
J Nelson out 3 weeks
JJ Redick out 9 weeks
T Battie out 3 weeks
D. Howard strained shoulder
K. Bogans uppper body

The team is diminishing and I had to play with limited players, the starting Five has changed to

C Howard
PF Mililic
SF Turkuglu
SG Dooling
PG Arroyo

The team now is 15-5 and currently ranks 1st in the Power Rankings.

Notable trades is, J Childress (ATL) for M. Finley (SAS), it's a bit lopsided since Fins is at the dawn of his career.

(I will try to edit the salary of some players like Cato, Jalen Rose and others to help the Salry Cap of other teams, since they are receiving only the veteran's minimum and to keep the dynasty real but i wont extend the class of 03 (LBJ, Wade, Melo and others to keep to upcoming free agency more exciting)

Next Game:
Home vs Detroit

(I will post the screenshots and the box score starting this game)

Key Match Up: Darko and Sheed, G Money (his defense against) Rip, Arroyo
and Billups
