its spelling Dynasty, not Dinasty

Also a great dynasty does not require getting people's opinions on what teams you should use, make a decision for your own and stick with it. This means you are indecisive and most won't last very long.

Also the Poll Options are at the bottom of the Reply Box when you make a new thread.

It's time to stand up for the Minnesota Timberwolves

After last years dissapointing Season the Minnesota Timberwolves have made some Transactions to adjust their Roster. After drafting the promising Rookie Randy Foye and trading for Mike James. They have made some other transactions close to the start of the season. First they traded Sophomore Rashard McCants to Chicago in exchange for Swiss Rookie Thabo Sefolosha.

Next came the biggest trade this summer:

The Wolves got Allen Iverson and Ivan McFarflin for sending Ricky Davis and Mike James to Philly. We spoke to Allen Iverson who was very unhappy in Philadelphia lately.

Q: "What do you personally think about the trade?"
A: "I think it was a great trade. I wasn't happy in Philly anymore I just felt
like I don't belong there anymore. Especially after we missed the Playoffs last year even though we had the talent to make it just didn't work out. I figured it was time for a change now and asked for a trade. The Wolves were really interested in me and made a nice offer with Ricky Davis and Mike James. The Sixers can really be happy with this I think especially Ricky Davis who's only just became 27 is a good guy to build this young team around. They have to start a rebuilding process and I think this is a good start."

Q: "You talked mostly about the 76ers now. But how do you feel about your new team."

A: "I just love it I love to hunt for a title with KG I tink we both deserve this (laughs). Other than that I love our Roster we have to veterans (Me and Kevin) plus some very promising young guys like Foye and Sefolosha. I feel like we really are capeable of getting the championship in the next few years."

Now you have Iverson and Garnett - both in the top 50 best ever NBA players list = WATCH OUT! (nice banner btw)
good writing so far...

Allen Iverson started well in his first game with the Timberwolves he scored the first 5 points of the team including an open threepointer. The Kings would make a run and go up 11-8 but with very good defense. The Wolves would hold them to 2 points in the last 5 minutes of the quarter. After one the Wolves had a four-point-lead. The Kings would come back to start the second quarter with a 10-2 run. The Wolves boxed out very poorly and allowed Shareef and Miller a lot of offensive boards. Thanks to Garnetts' 8 points in the second they would go into halftime being down just one point (35-34).

In the third the Wolves started to rebound especially Kevin Garnett who had 11 Rebound in this quarter. Minnesota scored some nice fast breaks points often through Garnett. The defense of both teams stayed very good and the shot-percentages were kept low. The Kings were down by 5 heading into the final quarter. Ron Artest had some nice baskets to get his team going. But the lead would change a lot there were runs by both teams. The Wolves lead 68-64 when the Kings errupted for a 10-4 run to get the lead but the Wolves would come back. They were down 74-72 with about 40 seconds to go who should they give the ball to? Randy Foye was 0 of 6 in the 4th... they decided to go with Iverson who caught fire scoring 4 of 7 but he couldn't get past Bibby he found Garnett who went for the lay-up...but he missed.
Sefolosha came out of nowhere to get the board and slam it home to tie the game with 24 seconds left.

The Kings let Miller shoot the ball but he missed the buzzer beater so the game went to overtime.

In overtime Allen Iverson would dominate he had 15 of his 37 in OT giving his team the win in his first game for the Wolves.

It was a very strange Game with very bad shooting by both teams. Garnett had a career high 31 boards along with his 28 points and was named Player of the game. Shareef and Miller combined for 47 Rebounds. Top scorer for the Kings was Kevin Martin with 27.

Play of the Game(More Pics will follow):

Quotes:
Sefolosha about his slam to tie the game: "I just thought if we don't score on this possession it would be over so I went to the basket and was just standing at the right spot to grab the ball. It was a great feeling especially in my first NBA game."

Garnett: "I'm really happy we started the season with a win this is very important. I also love how Allen has already fitted in to our team and that all the players had some playing time. But even though we won we need to work a lot until the next game against the Nuggets."

Iverson: "I feel comfortable within this team I'm happy I could help us so much to get the win in overtime. This season will be very interesting with this team I'm feeling we can get deep into the playoffs if we keep working on our game."

Dwane Casey: "I don't really know what to think about this game. Of course it's a good thing we got away with the win. But I felt like the concentration was off sometimes. We did not box out, took some bad shots and also missed wide open ones. If we play like this we won't win a lot of games."

Mike Bibby: "I'm frustrated we should have won this game but we just missed too many shots. I'm impressed with their defense I couldn't really get into the game. Next time we'll do better. This game was weird anyway I never played in such a game."

Wow Garnett 31 rebounds, looks almost ridiculous. I think something is wrong with your sliders, because your and the opponent's shooting percentages are really too low, thats why the amount of rebounds is so high.

yepp the rebounding numbers are ridiculously high while shooting is really low. Also CPU assists and FT Attempts. You may want to change something about that.

Timberwolves - Nuggets

Starting Lineups
Minnesota:
ImageImageImageImageImage

Denver:
ImageImageImageImageImage

Denver won yesterday's game against the Clippers and tries to come up with the second win of the season. JR Smith scored 21 points and Martin added 18 and pulled down 11 rebounds. DeMarr Johnson came up big off the bench and had 21 points in 21 Minutes. Unlike the Wolves (32.5% FG 16.7% 3pt) the Nuggets shot great from the Field with 61% and an incredible 70% from behind the arc.
Minnesota tries to make it two straight after the win at home against Sacramento. The way to do that is better shooting and keep going with the great defense.

Minnesota Timberwolves Image 93

Denver Nuggets Image 94

The First quarter started with a red-hot JR Smith who would score 7 of the first 10 points by his team. To bring them up by 5. The Wolves couldn't come back they because of their bad shooting (8/21) Foye was 0-3 and continued his bad shooting from the last game. But Iversons 9 would not let them fall back any further.
In the second the Nuggeets would make a run early to put them up by 9 plus KG picked up his third fouled and was on the bench for the rest of the quarter. But this sort of made the Wolves wake up they had a big run mostly thanks to AI and suddenly found themselves leadin by 5. The Nuggets would come within 1. But Sefolosha ended the half with a buzzer-beater and Minnesota went to the locker room leading by three.

Players at the Half:
Image19 pts
Image7 pts and 5 boards
Thanks to very good shooting in the 2nd quarter (12/19) the Wolves shot 50% from the field in the first half. (Nuggets were only 17/46)

Garnett didn't start the second half because of his foul trouble. The game stayed close Foye found his touch and went 3/3 in the third. Garnett would come back about halfway through the quarter. He soon picked up his 4th and went to the bench again. Thabo had beaten the shot-clock with 6.0 seconds to go in the third when Carmelo would pull-up from Half court and hit the contested three ball to beat the buzzer.
The game stayed close in the fourth. Carmelo was heating up and Trenton Hassell could not defend him. Thabo was coming in for him and did a better job but it was no use even though most Melo' shots were contested he still got them to go. On the other side Jaric and Iverson kept the game close. So the Timberwolves took part in another Thriller. Garnett stepped back on the floor and scored 4 points. Minnesota was up by 1 when Iverson missed two free-throws. The momentum would change and the Nuggets would go on a 6 nothing run and take the lead by 5. An Iverson lay-up a turnover by the Nuggets and a Garnett dunk brought the Wolves within one. Sefolosha fouled Carmelo with 16 seconds to go. He would also miss both free-throws. Minnesota took a time-out the ball got into the hands of Jaric who could easily drive to the basket but Camby was there to contest the shot and he missed it. Kenyon Martin would make two free-throws the ball was in AIs hands he spotted up and hit the shot but his foot was on the line and so the Timberwolves lost by one. 93-94.

Player of the Game was Carmelo Anthony with 28 Points (of wich he scored 12 in the fourth) and 9 Boards. Top performer for the Wolves was Iverson with a game-high 32 Points and 4 Assists.

T-Wolves Play of the game by Mark Blount (coming soon)

Quotes:
KG about his fouls: "I hate getting in to foul trouble. I played well and then picked up two in a row so I went to the bench. I sat out more than a quarter and thought I'm going to make an impact now when the coach sent me on the floor. But I picked up my fourth and had to go to the bench again."

Melo': "It was a lucky win of course but a W is a W. I thought it was over when I missed both those free-throws but fortunately they weren't able to score on the next possession. I'm happy with the way I played and that I scored 28. I was really frustrated about only scoring 10 in the last game."

AI and Foye: "It's pretty much my fault we lost this one. I didn't make the free-throws when it was important and I stepped on the line making the last shot." "You're a little bit hard on yourself there. We should not forget that you were the main reason the game stayed this close down the stretch." "Yeah, right. But still I shouldn't have made these mistakes."

Dwane Casey: "This is a very tough loss but at least we were shooting a lot better. I was more happy with the way we played today then with the way we did last game. We were unlucky that Kevin got into foul trouble early. But the team kept the game close. But at the end there can only be one winner this time it wasn't us. But I'm looking forward to tomorrows game and hope we'll get away with a win there."

Portland Trailblazers Image105

Starting Lineups
Minnesota:
ImageImageImageImageImage
Portland:
ImageImageImageImageImage

It was a terrible beginning for the Wolves with about 4 min. left to play in the quarter both Garnett and Iverson were on the bench with two fouls. Someone would have to step up and it was Thabo who had 6 points and 1 assist in four minutes of action. Zach Randolph came up big for the Blazers with 7 points and 6 rebounds.
With KG and AI about to sit on the bench maybe the the whole first half. Portland realized it was time to get a big lead and they did get up by 12 mostly thanks to Roys 8 points. But thanks to a great team effort they cut the lead to three points before tha halftime buzzer.

Players at the half:
Image 10 points 1 assist
Image7 points 9 boards

The Trailblazers went on a run and got up by 15 the game looke as if it was out of reach. But even tough KG and AI were on the court again it was once again Sefolosha who would step up scoring 8 in the last three minutes. So once again they were able to cut into the lead but still they were down by seen.
In the fourth quarter the two supperstars of the Wolves would do what they're supposed to they got the team on a 12-4 run. But at the end Roys 28 and Randolphes 18 boards killed Minnesota and they lost. It was a thrilling duel between the two rookies Sefolosha and Roy. Roy would win it at the end but it was definately an impressing performance by Sefolosha (22 points) who had earned himself a starting spot dew to solid performances in the first two games and he proofed himself with this one. Top scorer for the Wolves was again Iverson with 26.

Quotes:
Zach Randolph: "What a game. I thought we had the win in our pockets. But they kept coming back. In the end it was just a lack of nerves they had I guess."

Brandon Roy: "It's a nice win for us and I'm happy I could deliver those 28 points I was just feelin' it you know. This may sound kind of like I think I'm the greatest. But if you have this feeling as well you know what I'm talking about."

Thabo Sefolosha: "I was happy I could start but was too nervous so the coach substituted me with Trenton. When I stepped back I didn't really feel the pressure no more and it was definately the best game in my career so far even though we lost. It just gave me a lot of confidence and now I feel like I'm really ready to help the team winning again."

Garnett: "I won't get into foul trouble next game I promise."

The Coach: "I like the effort of our bench and our role players but I'm unhappy with our two superstar they picked up two early fouls and only got really into the game in the fourth. I'm looking for a comfortable win next game we really need a game like that to give us confidence."

tough losses and a little shiny, but I like seeing AI and KG (two of the must well known initials in the sports world, seemingly right after TO and MJ) together. Good luck and hopefully you can turn it around. I'm sure Garnett would want that at least.

Rough start slizz, you can probably turn it around. you had 15 turnovers last game, if you can cut down on those you should have no problem winning.

Iverson leads Wolves over Sacramento

Allen Iverson had his first double-double of the season (36 Points, 10 Assists) and lead Minnesota's way over the Kings. The Wolves have now won two games against the Kings in less than a week. This time it was much easier than the first time. The Wolves got themselves a comfortable 9-point lead in the first quarter and extended it to 32 until the end of the third. The Wolves than layed back and the Kings outscored them by eleven in the fourth. Still, the win was never in danger. Iverson earned Player of the Game honors. KG also had a nice game scoring 26 points grabbing 8 boards and dishing out 5 assists. Randy foye only shot 4-12 and couldn't score in double figures this time.
Bibby was the best performer of the Kings. He scored 27 and handed out 10 assists. Other than him and Reef (17 p 13 r) the Kings were dissapointing.

The two best scorers of the game.

Quotes:
Allen Iverson: "I'm starting to get really comfortable here. After the last game the coach told me to try to get my teammates involved I did this today and it resulted in a win."
Randy Foye: "I'm happy with the team and how we got the win but I'm not happy with myself. I need to find a way to get my shots to go and I promise I will."
Mike Bibby: "We lost again but this time it was worse we can not take much positive things out of this game. I'm happy with my numbers but we have to do more as a team if we want to be a serious playoff contender."

Other News: Marko Jaric asked to be traded
Marko Jaric: "I just feel that I deserve more minutes and now that we have Allen and Randy I can't get enough with this team. I understand the decision of the coach because AI deserves so many minutes so I feel like I need to go to a different team."
Coach: "It's tough for us to give Marko away but I can understand that it would be the best for him he deserves more than 10 Minutes a game and unfortunately we can't guarantee him much more. I'll be looking to get a solid Center out of that trade."
