Due to the fact that I'm playing World of Warcraft quite a bit now- I don't really want to continue my in-depth Knights dynasty- sorry to those who were about to be drafted, but I don't want to go to all that work. The time that I spend playing Live, I want to spend playing it and having fun, not providing stats for a bunch of guys- that was fun when I only played Live, but now I am mostly playing Warcraft.

Anyway, after some deliberation, I decided on the Nuggets. I simmed past the first game accidentally, and I didn't want to start over- so I just said 'screw it', so I'm starting 0-1. I made one trade, and I'll be playing my 'second' game right now. This dynasty won't be too in-depth or trying to be original, just me keeping track of the games I play :D

Interesting trade there. Any reason why you traded for harrison? You gave up a fair bit.

I'll be reading (and commenting) anyway. Keep it going (Y)

Agreed, you seem to have given up a lot for very little though it doesn't seem to have hurt you in the first game. I'd be interested to know why you pulled the trigger too. :)

I'm an avid anti-fan of both Andre Miller and Nene, and a big fan of Fred Jones....Miller and Nene were the only reasons I didn't want a Nuggets Dynasty, so there they go  ..........Harrison has some skills, as well. Pollard.....ugh......that damn contract. Oh, well.

Thanks for the comments gents, and yea I'll keep this one going, as It's purely for fun and I'm not going to worry about glitz or glamour

i was just looking at my boxscore up there- camby and harrison's numbers are almost exactly the same. except camby had like 7 more minutes played. harrison ain't bad at all.

just in case you guys think i've given up on this one already, i haven't. i just haven't had access to live in a couple days, due to holiday crap, and sleeping too much :D

haha sorry najira, but i think andre miller is way overrated, and nene is too cocky for my tastes.

nugget trades

Postby andywerner on Wed Dec 29, 2004 11:24 pm

Hi!

Just wanted to share my trades with a Nuggets Dynasty which left me with the following lineup:

C - Olowokandi
PF - K-Mart
SF - Carmelo
SG - Vince Carter
PG - Andre Miller

Key subs:
F-C - Néne
C - Elson
SG - V. Lenard
PG - Boykins

What I did as soon as I got the team was trade Camby straight up for Ginobili. (I´m the biggest Manu fan on earth).

Then I realized New Jersey loved my sub-par Forward reservers, so I gave them Manu, Byron Ruseel and Tskitishvilli for Carter.

Then Minnesota gave me the KandiMan for Rodney White, Buckner (I think, I´ll check when I get home).

The reasoning is getting rid of the flab below the 10th-man mark. I don´t really have a sub for Melo, but Carter can easily play SF when I put Lenard into the mix.

Have to disagree regarding Néne: I think he´s a great defender who can cover both Kenyon and Olowokandi. Also allows for a huge defensive 5 with Kandi at Center, Néne and K-Mart as the forwards, Melo and Carter as guards.

What do you think?

i think that carter trade should have happened in the NBA, kudos to you for that (Y) --that trade is fantastic.

Nene plays well in the game, yes, but when I really dislike players in the real NBA, I find it hard to play with them happily in NBA Live. Same for Andre Miller.

i just realized that i haven't had a dynasty without skita this year :o

wow, no dynasty without Skita is amazing.

I keep trying to put Manu in all my dynasties but Carter is just too juicy to pass over.

with K-Mart and Carter by books are pretty much full to the brim, but I really want to get a better/cheaper point-guard.

I´m trying to get Miami to give up Wade but can´t find anything to interest them. I also like Hinrich & Parker... we´ll see if I can come up with something nice.

oh by the way, what was really interesting to me was that Denver courted Manu in the off-season, but then gave up on him to sign Camby (which left them with no more cap room).

So basically what I did was an alternate reality kind of situation. Nice.
