Knicks Dinasty!....Vinsanity in NYC!

Postby hugo_marbury on Sat Oct 23, 2004 10:14 am

Im gonna start a Dinasty with the Knicks and I think that Im gonna makes this trade:

J. Crawford, T. Thomas and M. Norris for V. Carter and A. Williams.

In every NBA Live game that I´ve played I always go for Vince. Im no sure if Im going for this trade because finally the Knicks have a good roster. And also trading for a center will be good.

I want some opinions!...

Nooooooooo
You dont need to go after Vince , as tempting as it is i know but imo id leave the team as it is.
Like cklitsie said if your gonna make any trade then let it be for a big man.

i got 2 suggestion for you

1. well why not try starting a dynasty and try donig that trade, you think the CPU will accept it???

2. this one is more i like, do your dynasty with the current ny rosters and try to do your best win and be a playoff contender, if some good trade come along the way and you think you can benifit from that then trade for it if not, try to offer counter-trade.

also in your NY you need center, nazr, kurt cant handle that position. try go for a center and try to trade players like anderson and kurt for salary cap (though it will be difficult when we talk about salary cap of NY)

The trade you had in mind with Toronto wouldn't have worked in real life.

If Toronto wanted to trade Vince, they'd want Marbury in the deal. How else would they make money?

Hehe, sorry.

Actually the trades being discussed never involver Marbury. If the trade were to happed the main guy would be Kurt Thomas. So this trade might have worked but I suggest you go with getting your big man.

sorry going off topic....

That was the whole reason that the trade didnt go down was the Raps wanted a superstar type player like Marbury in return for VC and the Knicks where never gonna give that up.

On topic...

Glad your not gonna make that deal work, it would of spoil it if you had.
Vin Baker could be a nice backup for you, if i was going to trade for a big man id use Anderson, Mohammed, Norris and Kurt Thomas.

Have you concided trading for either Haywood or Etan Thomas of the wizards?
Both big in the middle and great on defence.

the trade!

Postby hugo_marbury on Sun Oct 31, 2004 6:22 am

hey, I've played 9 games and my record is 5-4...Tim Thomas is my leading scorer, Nazi Mohammed is the rebound leader...Starbury got injured in the game against Boston and he was out 10 days, in that time I beat Boston, Phila, lost with the Clippers at home, beat Indiana at Indiana and lost with the Spurs in San Antonio...Starbury came back for the game in Houston and we won, then lost with Dallas....

A. Houston had two really bad games with 0 points, so I decided to trade him...I send Houston and M. Norris to Portland for N. Van Exel and R. Patterson...

In the first game we beat Cleveland easily...................I think this trade will make my team deeper.....and because I got Starbury injured one time and I had to play Crawford at the PG and he had to make others things and I want him to play SG all the time........

let me know what do you think about the trade...

the Raptors trade Vince for almost nothing!...man, I think the trade that I proposed is way better than what the Raptors got...

I know Vince wanted to be out of T.O but the trade was so bad for the Raptors...

From this I learn a couple of things: I would be a good GM and Im going for Vince on my Dinasty.

I think Im gonna move T. Thomas, M. Sweetney and somebody else to New Jersey for Vince. I want to play Ariza more and the JYD is one of my favorites players and he needs more playing time.
Im thinking on a trade for S. Abdur Rahim or N. Van Exel also.

the players that I could trade are T. Thomas, V. Baker, M. Norris, M. Sweetney, P. Hardaway, B. Sundov and J. Brewer
dont know yet

later.

go Knicks!

try trading for Radmanovic. He's really solid from outside and he's a good rebounder as well.

IMO i wouldnt trade Tim or Sweetney but thats just me, id leave Vince where he is for now and maybe think about going after Abdur Rahim.

One other thing tho...

Your early post said.

your later post said.

By that do you mean that your thinking of trading away Nick Van Exel?

HOWD YOU TRADE HOUSTON! =0 Eek Gasps. He averages 25+ points for me 4+ Rebounds a game, 4 + Assists, and 1-2 Assists a game!

He plays as the SF and Crawford SG and Marbury PG. Killa Combo. And When we have good inside game too .... But its a good trade... But dont like it since your NY Roster is way dif...

Knicks Dynasty Vince Carter trade

Postby NYK9327 on Sat Jan 01, 2005 4:45 pm

I wouldn't trade for Carter. Look at Abdur-Rahim first because you could probably get him cheaper. There are also many more players on Portland that you could package in that are worth while. That is unless you do trade Marbury for Carter, try to get Rafer Alston as well and throw in one of the Thomas'.

thanks for the opinions....

I like Abdur-Rahim and Nick the Quick a lot but the only trade that Portland is going for is:

T. Thomas, A. Houston and M. Sweetney.

I think that trade is not good for me. Portland is only interested in Houston, Penny and Sweetney. So I will think about it and maybe just go for Van Exel.

I´ve been thinking in some roster changes like moving Houston to SF like one dude said, or puting Kurt at Center an Sweetney and PF. Don´t know yet.

I´ve reduced my trading options to Abdur-Rahim and Van Exel. I will play some friendly games and then make my choice.

Trade is done

Postby hugo_marbury on Tue Jan 04, 2005 10:39 am

to mp3:

the first posts that I made were when I was starting my first Dinasty, after that I did not play the game for like one month or more. So, I decided to start the Dinasty again. I started this Dinasty and made some roster updates, like Vince in NJ, Wesley in Houston, Lue in Atlanta, Caparkapa (I think that his last name) to G.S....basically, I haven´t trade for Van Exel.

The Trade:

After some thinking I decided to give T. Thomas and A. Houston a chance and I traded Sweetney and M. Norris for Tony Battie and Michael Bradley from Orlando.
Orlando was really interested in Sweetney and I needed some size.
I think this trade is gonna help me a lot because Battie plays good D and has the size that I was looking for.
Also I clean up a little bit my cap because I don´t have Moochie´s contract and Bradley has a one year contract.

My roster is:

Mohammed
Kurt
T.Thomas
Jay Cee
Starbury
--------------------

Ariza
JYD (J. Williams)
Battie
Houston
Penny (PG)
V. Baker
Bradley

Sundov
Brewer

I really think the trade is fair....what do you think?

I will wait till December to see how the other guys are doing and then make another trade.

later

go knicks!
