NCAA Basketball 18 MyCareer series on YouTube (#2 RLSD)

Postby BPDHoplite on Sat Apr 07, 2018 5:31 am

It's my first ever attempt at something like this so all feedback is welcome :)
I know my mic was quiet at times in this video but I fixed it for future ones.

phpBB [video]

Video Description:
This is the first episode of my full conversion mod for NBA 2K14 on PC that goes by the name NCAA Basketball 18. More info and download links can be found right here - viewtopic....

If you like this video please let me know in the comments and I'll make more :)

I know my audio is muffled in parts because I'm new to this and I made a mistake recording but its fixed for the future.

You did a good job making the video. Audio is clear.

Playing wise, jacking up guarded shots (And some with Gatorade on your feet cause you're tired) makes it almost look like you are not trying. I'd recommend setting more picks, and getting other players involved, playing like a real player. You also are doing the "Call for pass" thing far too often, you are dishing to someone 10-15 feet away, and just going back to get the ball (Or like at 5:40, calling for it while your teammate is also rotating to the top and the ball just hitting him and a turnover happening). Defensively, it looks like you are just gambling.

The mods look awesome, but if you want people to pay attention, they will want to see someone taking the game seriously. They will also want to see progression, as in you getting better and upping your stats.

I know it's supposed to be funny with the whole 5'7" 350 lbs thing, but for one he doesn't look that weight, so it's really not super funny, and if the chucker thing is supposed to add to the humor, nobody is really going to want to watch someone jacking up contested shots all the time. Some parts of the video it looks like you are trying, some it doesn't.

Lol I know all that :D
I was planning on doing it properly and fixing how the guy looks.
I wasn't doing it to add to the humour the reason was that the Dartmouth bench is all 60 and 50 Overalls so they are total thrash :P

I do appreciate your feedback and will start getting them involved a bit more until I made the starting five.

I wasn't taking loads of bad shots either I had a couple shots that were A+ and A- that missed but I edited them out because they weren't interesting.

Well, if you knew all of that... why post it as video #1 and make it sound serious? lol

I stand by my critique. Good luck though, glad to see somebody still posting NBA 2K14 videos on Youtube, especially attempting a series.

People don't get how much 2K14 for the PC has to offer with mods (Specifically roster mods), loads of content and with a pretty damn good game.
