Tough week. Normally I would say 1-3, but HCA puts you over the top vs. Nuggets.

My Official Week Prediction: 2-2

Clippers loose again on the road
Clippers 93, Cavaliers 104

Cleveland, November 4th (AP) -- King James does it all against L.A.

It was another big night for LeBron James as he almost singlehanded led his Cavaliers to a 11 point win against the Los Angeles Clippers. James scored 38 points added 7 assists and 6 rebounds and shot 17-27 from the field. After an equal first half the Cavs executed better on offense against a poor L.A. defense. Although Elton Brand was able to convince once again with 25 points, 7 rebounds and 6 assists the Clippers seemed to be tired and did not run the floor well. Especially the backcourt was not able to convince and Sam Cassell and Shaun Livingston only combined for 14 points. The Cavaliers outrebounded the Clippers which seems to be a huge problem for L.A..

L.A. win Thriller vs Nuggets
Nuggets 104, Clippers 105

Los Angeles, November 6th (AP) -- Shaky freethrow shooting almost looses the game for L.A..
The Los Angeles Clippers were able to win their first game at home after a 5 game road trip which they left behind with only a 2-3 record. This time
they showed their A-game in almost every case but not freethrow shooting. "I cannot explain why we shot so weak from the stripe, I mean we trained freethrowshooting during offseason ..", Coach Hov said later. Corey Maggette and Carmelo Anthony dominated the game in the first half with 18 and 20 points respectively. Maggette had his best game this season so far and was very strong when he went to the basket.
Anthony just showed what he got and took shots, tipped the ball and went to the rim. The Clipps led by 1 at halftime. Denver came into the 2nd half a bit better in shape and Anthony kept doing his thing. Allen Iverson had a tough night and could not find his rhythm. The Clipps played better and could have decided the match way earlier but especially Elton Brand could not hit his freethrows (1-7). Late in the 4th the Nuggets were able to tie the game. Both teams did not execute on their next possesions.
Corey Maggette went to the line for two wth 30 seconds left. He only hit one shot. The Nuggets gave the ball to Carmelo Anthony who stroke to the basket but could not make the short jumper. The Nuggets then fouled Elton Brand who had grabbed the rebound. He missed on his two foul shots and Anthony took a halfcourt shot but hit the rim.

Clippers without problems against Timberwolves
Clippers 103, Wolves 99

Los Angeles, November 8th (AP) -- 6 Clippers in double figures win against struggling Wolves.
The Los Angeles Clippers were able to grab their second victory in a row this time against the Minnesota Timberwolves. After a stunning first quarter the Clippers were able to take a 22 point lead into the second half. Shaun Livingston was the man in the first half with 16 points on 7-7 shooting.
The Wolves never really came back especially in the 3rd but tried everything. Trenton Hassell was a streaky scorer for the first time in his career and Kevin Garnett hustled just as hard as possible. The Clippers were a bit lightminded and almost gave their lead up but were able to make the big plays when needed. All in all the Wolves had no real chance against strong 1st half Clippers.

Spurs are too much for Los Angeles
Clippers 99, Spurs 107

Los Angeles, November 10th (AP) -- Tim Duncan and Tony Parker combined for 58 points to beat the Clipps.
The Clippers were just about to build up a streak when they had to meet the maybe best team of the season so far although the Spurs lost twice this week. From the very first beginning the Clippers were quite aggressive but the Spurs seemed to pretty control everything. Whenever they needed to score they did but their defense was not at its best in the first quarter. Tim Duncan scored 8 points and same did Elton Brand. Both went against each other quite often. After the first quarter the Spurs led by 2 points. And they were able to increase their lead more and more in the second while the Clippers had problems especially around the basket. Just at the end of the second quarter Elton Brand got injured after he collided with Robert Horry. Brand returned late in the 4th but he should not have. Medics say he will be out for the next 12 days with a bruised rip. The Clippers were shocked and went into the 3rd quarter trailing by 11. Then Shaun Livingston started to heat up. He used his size advantage against Tony Parker to get to the rim and to post up. Furthermore he found his team mates in comfortable positions. Livingston finished the game with 21 points, 7 rebounds and 7 assists. But the Spurs although they had problems, just did not stop playing and fought back to make it a tightly contested game. They still led by 9. Early in the 4th the Spurs were able to make a 8-0 scoring run when Elton Brand substituted back, still hurt. He exploded for 10 points and 5 boards in the last and Sam Cassell hit a three with 2:10 left on the clock to narrow the gap to one. But what did the Spurs do ? They gave the ball to Tim Duncan and played it down emotionless. No chance for the Clippers in this one.

Saturday Scores
Statline of the day: Chauncey Billups:42 points, 16-23FG, 6-9 3pt, 8 assists, 4 steals..

k_durant, i think tis a patch by one of the guys that make player accessories update, its not really a band, rather his wrist was changed.

Damn, i suck at guessing...You got lucky against Nuggets

Yeah my guess was also crap ;( I thought you will grab at least 2 victories, but as I see you had realy tough games. Shooting free throws is a serious problem, try to change free throw slider maybe. But great recap and pics (Y)

No big deal, but you again mixed boxscores (Clippers-Cavaliers) :P

A very nice job you're doing here right now, though I pretty much missd it all, since I don't have any time to check the NLSC at all, though I'm getting back.

As far as of now, you're not doing very well(Clippers weren't doin' good too), but I think you should get off to a pretty nice streak soon. That's the only way I see you could make this season really succesful, or some mid-season changes could help, but that' way too early to talk about since you played only eight games. Good luck in the upcoming week!

k-durant, I think that is a bug. Every player with a wristband has it looking like this, actually I dont like it, but dont care bout it either.

Anthony15, Ye, I came away quite lucky, but I dont mind ;)

Marquis, Your guess was right, so dont blame yourself. I changed the freethrow slider, I just suck a shooting with the analog stick.

Scoop, thank you for your support.

Sacke12, Kobe is on fire in my dynasty, leading the league with around 33 ppg. Thx for your comment ;)

3PK, thank you very much ;)

Pursuer, hey hey, thx. Well I aint updating too regularily at the moment, just many things around me going on. But I will do so today.

Third week of the season and the Clippers head into it with a major problem. Elton Brand will be out for the whole week and maybe even the following one. A bruised rip is settled for 12 days at least. This will test the team´s deepth although it is quite obvious that the Clippers lack of an adequate replacement for Brand. Tim Thomas is not really a power forward but will have to fill in. The first match will be against the Atlanta Hawks. The Clipper won @ATL in their first game of the season and will try to repeat at home. The Hawks are 3-4 and lost their last game against Milwaukee. Joe Johnson and Josh Smith have really emerged as the two go-to-guys combining for 40 points per game. The Hawks do not have a too good defense and are very inconsistent so far. When they loose, than completely. That is why their PPG-OPPG difference is at -5.1 which is too high for a 3-4 team. The Hawks also lack of good shooters and shoot only .29% from downtown.
On Thursday the Clippers will host the Miami Heat. The Heat started well into the season but had a five game loosing streak between 30/10 and 10/11. Shaquille O`Neal is really back after a injury affected last season averaging 26 points per game. Together with Dwyane Wade the Heat have a very good offense. But thx to Shaq the Heat are the weakest freethrow team in the league with .58%, even the Clippers are better. The Heat also have many shooters and shoot very well from downtown. They have problems to get into the game (30,0 OPPG in the first quarter).
On Sunday the Clippers will face the Milwaukee Bucks. Currently 5-3 the Bucks are on a two game winning streak which is very important on a road trip. The Bucks have a good shot distribution and are not easy to handle. But they have problems on defense were their opponent shoot .445% per game. Michael Redd is the key in clutch situations and the Clippers may double him because he is not the best passer out of doubleteams.
All these game without Elton Brand will need someone else to step up. There will be a big load on the shoulders of Corey Maggette and Shaun Livingston. Predict the record and what you think how the Clipps will handle this week.
