November and December Calendar


New Orleans Hornets had 30 games in November and December. They won 14 games and lost 16, which let them feel pretty good in the future situation. They haven't lost any chances yet to go to playoffs this season and now standing at the 9th place at the Western Conference. The season started with 3 consecutive losses. Then after 1 victory again 3 losses, but the team began to play real basketball and celebrated some very important victories, including 2 victories against Suns. January and February can be very important months for Hornets.
Stats

Chris Paul rules this season, as he averages 21.4 points per game. He adds 6.1 assists per game and 1.7 steals per game as well. Peja averages almost 20 points per game, also have pretty good steals statistics. Rookie Lawrence Conners is without doubt the most all-around player in the team. He averages 13.5 points per game, more than 5 assists and rebounds per game. Leads the team in steals (1.80 SPG), and blocks more than 1 shot per game (1.27 BPG). Tyson Chandler is the best blocker in the team (1.67 BPG), he also averages 11.6 points per game and 8.7 rebounds per game. David West, who has got his contract for remaining 5 years is struggling so far. He averages only 8.0 points per game. Maybe this is the result of the 1 week injury, he had in November. The other rookie Hank Harry averages 4.7 points per game and grabs 4 rebounds per game.
MVP Candidates

Amare Stoudemire is leading the race to the MVP so far with 23.5 PPG, 11.6 RPG and amazing 3.29 BPG stats. His teams leads in their divison. Elton Brand of the Clipeprs is behind him with 23.5 PPG and 12.7 RPG. We already have a rookie here. It is Mario Gonzales from the Knicks, who is doing very well so far in the NBA. Dwight Howard and Baron Davis are also pretending to the title, but this is only 2 months and the situation could change very quickly.
November and December Transactions

There were no such important transaction in these 2 months. The biggest trade we can call Warriors and Rockets trade, in which Rockets got center from Latvia Andris Biedrins, while Warriors - Kirk Snyder. In the other trade Toronto Raptos acquired Vladamir Radmanovic from the Lakers. Lakers got Anthony Parker from them. Bucks and Nuggets traded David Noel and Sergei Monia. Seattle SuperSonics signed free agent Loren Woods.
Upcoming Draft Preview

In yet another very strong draft we can see 4 guys from the NLSC. Tuomas Vuollo, Conrad Burry, Aaron Fine and Darius Tam are ready to come to the NBA next year. Tuomas Vuollo a.k.a Tuomas is the point guard from Finland. Scouts believe that he has good potential in the future. He will probably be drafted in the 1st five picks. Conrad Burry a.k.a c0nr4d is the point guard from Toledo, OH. He is undersized PG, but is feeling very comfortable in his position. He will probbaly be drafted in the 1st top 10 picks. Darius Tam a.k.a Marquis is undersized shooting guard from Lithuania. Scouts believe that height will not cause problems and he will have great carrier in the NBA. Aaron Fine a.k.a joyegraham is another point guard in the draft. He came from Canada and ready to be drafted. Scouts says that he will be selected in the 1st round.
Season Standings






New Orleans Hornets are at the 9th place now at the Western Conference. San Antonio Spurs are very great so far in this year, having 27-4 record. Pretty the same can be said about other southwest division. Rockets and Mavericks are also playing very well. Phoenix Suns are leading in Pacific division with 19-12 record, while Denver Nuggets are leading in Northwest division so far with only 15-15 record. The worst Western Conference team is Portland Trail Blazers with only 8 victories. In the East we can see Toronto Raptors and Chicago Bulls teams leading. Both team have 21 wins. We can notice that East teams ar weaker than West. The worst East team Philadelphia 76ers is also the worst team of the league.
The Bests of November




Kevin Garnett seems that want to repeat his success of the last year, and got the best West player of November title. At the East Chris Bosh was anounced as the player of the month, his Raptors were doing pretty well in the first month. West rookie became power forward from Seattle SuperSonics Rumeal Wells, who managed to average 27.8 points per game in his first month ever in the NBA. At the East Mario Gonzalez from the Knicks got the same award as Rumeal Wells.
The Bests of December




We can see new faces in the awards of the month. Elton Brand and Dwight Howard became the best players of December in their conference. Mario Gonzalez repeated his previous month success and was anounced as the best rookie of the month the 2nd time. The best rookie of December was anounced Logan Corey from Houston Rockets.
