Game 1:

Milwaukee Bucks(15-13) @ Orlando Magic(17-11)

1st Quarter:

Tracy Mcgrady come out dominating and is really pushing his team as far as he can to lead them out of the first round. He hit 21 in the 1st quarter and got the Magic off to a flyer leading 39-21. Randolph lead the Bucks with 6pnts.

2nd Quarter:

The game was just getting worse and worse as the Magic were crusing along and there wasnt much the Bucks could do about it. Michael Redd was doing waht he could as he hit 11 in the 2nd, T-Mas a little bit more silent but still finished the half with 24pnts 6rebs 5asts.
The Magic were up 45-67.

3rd Quarter:

The Bucks come out looking a lot better on Offense and Redd was still making shots, as he hit 10 in the 3rd, whilst Randolph quietly had a 8 point quarter to give himself 16.
T-Mac had just 28 at the end of the 3rd thanks to some superior defense from Tim Thomas.
The Bucks did well, but the Magic still held a 70-85 lead.

4th Quarter:

The 4th was exciting as the Bucks come back with a flourish, it was 77-87 with about 6mins to go and Jones connected on a 3 which cut it to 7.
With about 4mins to go the scores 86-91 Michael Redd come of a solid screen from Dan Gadzuric and nailed a 3, but it was counted only as a 2, but looking at replays it was clearly a 3. it was 88-91 and the Magic called a TO.
With both teams being neck and neck and it was up and down game, Redd crossed up T-Mac and stepped back for a 3 with just under 2mins left to make 100-101, but from the Magic took off and managed to shake off 7pnts in the last 40secs from Redd to take the win 112-107.

The Magic lead 1-0

1st Round of the 2003-2004 Playoffs:

Game 2:

Milwaukee Bucks(15-13) @ Orlando Magic(17-11)

1st Quarter:
The Bucks came out on a mission tonight, lead by the strugling Tim Thomas who exploded for 14 in the 1st to set the tempo.
Redd struggled shooting 1-8 in the 1st but the Bucks held the lead 30-17 at quarter time.

2nd Quarter:
T-Mac wasnt as determined and good as last time and with Tim Thomas playing D on him he was held to just 8pnts in the 1st half.
Tim Thomas was still all over the place on offense hitting another 10 to have 24 at the half.
Randolph had 12 rebounds.
Bucks were up 56-41

3rd Quarter:
The Bucks continued to run away with this game lead by Tim Thomas and Zach Randolph. Timmy had a quiet quarter only scoring 3 points, but the bench stepped it up a notch and managd to keep the Bucks 15 points ahead going into the last quarter.
82-67.

4th Quarter:
T-Mac was 13 points goign into the 4th, but hit 20 in the 4th and manged to get the Magic right back in it. Tim Thomas lifted his game again and he posted 8 in the quarter whilst Redd and Jones started to hit there shots.
T-Mac hit a three with 1 minute to go to get the Magic within 2 points but a longe range 3 from Jones and a fastbreak dunk from Mason capped off the game for the Bucks and managed to take the win in Orlando 111-107.

Series is tied at 1-1

Player Of The Game:
Tim Thomas 35pnts 3rebs 3asts 16-27 from the field

Well off we go back home to Milwaukee.

Sun Mar 28, 2004 9:54 pm

2 games to report today.

1st Round of the 2003-2004 Playoffs:

Game 3:

Orlando Magic(17-11) @ Milwaukee Bucks (15-13)

I couldnt really remember much of this game, but in the end it was a major blowout.
it started out 28-29 in the 1st, then 53-64 in the 2nd, 74-94 at the end of the 3rd and 94-130 was the final score.
We looked really good in this game and actually played some good defense.
If we can play like we did in this one, i think we may go all the way.

Bucks lead 2-1

Player Of The Game:
Michael Redd 28pnts 5rebs 2asts 1blk

Bucks Top Players:
Damon Jones 23pnts 4asts 3rebs 8-12FG's 4-6 3's
Desmond Mason 20pnts 4asts 3rebs 9-14FG's
Zach Randolph 14pnts 8rebs
Dion Glover and TJ Ford had 10 a piece.

Magics Top Players:
Shammond Williams 16pnts 8asts 4rebs
Tracy Mcgrady 13pnts 5-17FG's 1/9 3's

Tim Thomas is destroying T-Mac latley, hes playing awesome D on one of the top players in the game.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Game 4:

Orlando Magic(17-11) @ Milwaukee Bucks(15-13)

1st Quarter:
The First quarter started out very interesting with each team making a 8-0 run to start it out, first the Magic started off 8-0 then the Bucks put together an 8-0 run.
Redd had 10 in the 1st and Randolph had 8pnts 6rebs.
T-Mac again did nothing as Tim Thomas was all over him.

26-25 Magic

2nd Quarter:
Despite T-Mac doing nothing, The magic supporting cast started to show up, Shammond Williams was dishing dimes and Giricek,Hill and Hunter were controlling the scoring.
Redd hit 7 in the quarter and Randolph continued to dominate Howard, he had 14/8 at the half. Damon Jones went down with a Leg Injury amd could not return for the rest of the game, Jones injury details to be asessed after game.

53-48 Magic

3rd Quarter:
The Magics supporting cast kept fighting and grinding it out and the Bucks best 2 players Michael Redd and Zach Randolph kept leading the way.
T-Mac got things going a bit but hurt himself late in the 3rd but was able to return. He had 14 at the end of the third(had just 3 going into it).

84-82 Magic

4th Quarter:
So with only 2 points in it we were expecting a hard fought 4th quarter, but it started out very sloppy with each teams first 3 possesions resulted in Turnovers.
The first score of the quarter was by Dion Glover who put a up a forced 3 with a second to go on the shot clock.
Magic were leading 92-84 with 4 minutes to go and the Magic were really missing Jones outside shooting, but no matter, 3rd string PG Erick Strickland connected on back-to-back threes to make the scores 92-90 Magics way.
with just under a minute to go scores 102-98 Magics way Michael Redd connected on his first 3 of the game to make it 102-101.
With Magic on offense the ran there shot clock down and the ebst shot they could get was a three from Declerq
Redd rebounded and went coast to coast for a layup to give the Bucks the lead 103-102.
The Magic took a TO with 8secs left.
They run a high post screen for shammond williams but a great effort from Ford to get around the screen and put a hand Williams face put him off his shot and his final buzzer shot fell way short.

102-103 Bucks

Player Of The Game:
Michael Redd 31pnts 5asts 3rebs

Bucks Top Players:
Zach Randolph 24pnts 12rebs 2blks 9-13FG's
TJ Ford 10pnts 7asts
Dan Gadzuric 8pnts 13rebs 6blks

Magics Top Players:
Steven Hunter 20pnts 8rebs 2blks
Tracy Mcgrady 19pnts
Shammond Williams 8pnts 11asts 6rebs.

So with the nail-biting win behind us we take a 3-1 lead in the series and head back to Orlando to try and take the series.

Injury Update:

Damon Jones will be out for 3 weeks due to a Torn Achilles Tendon.
With those 12ppg 3apg 3rpg off the bench missing, someone is going to have to step it up a notch.
Jones is not expected back till at least the end of the 2nd rnd, possibly the Eastern Conference Finals.

Do the Bucks still have a chance at getting to finals without Jones????
We'll just have to wait and see.

1st Round of the 2003-2004 Playoffs:

Game 5:

Milwaukee Bucks(15-13) @ Orlando Magic(17-11)

1st Quarter:
Knowing that this could be the last game of the year for the Magic, T-Mac came out on a mission by hitting 15 points in the 1st quarter!
The Buck were playing very sloppy also which lead to the Magic leading 24-17 at the end of the 1st.
Redd lead the team with 4.

2nd Quarter:
The Bucks continued to play like a bunch of bitches and by the end of the quarter no-one from the Bucks had higher than 9(Redd).
T-Mac was so good in this game, he had 23 at the half and was hitting J's and dunks in the grills of Mason and Thomas.
The Magic were ahead 46-37 and thing looked good for game 6.

3rd Quarter:
The Magic made an attempt to seal the game here and they did a bloody great job of it! They had a lead of 23 at one stage but a decent quarter from Redd got us back in it. Missing Damon Jones was really hurting us, as we missed that punch off the bench. Strickland played a while but was definatley no Jones, so just before the quarter ended we played Mason at PG.

Magic lead 74-61.

4th Quarter:
Playing Mason at point really payed off, He played some tight D on Shammond Williams(Averaging 12.4apg in playoffs) and even dished out some nice passes.
This quarter belonged to Michael Redd and Tim Thomas though as both lead the Bucks to a great comeback, Tim had 14 in the quarter and Redd hit 11.
Scores were tied a 93-95 (Magics way) with 32 seconds to go and Magic had posession, they ran down the clock and ran a high screen 3pnt for T-Mac, he got a great look but couldnt knock down the shot, Mason rebounded and ran it over halfcourt and called a TO with 5.8 seconds left.
Anyway i switched Redd to SF so he could pass it in, and the play i tried to setup worked efficently, but not the way i hoped.
Anyway, Redd passed it in to Mason who dished striaght away to Gadzuric who wizzed a pass back to a cutting Redd, he pulled up for the baseline J with 1.8 on the clock and..............WAS FOULED!!!
He knocked down both free throws to tie it at 95, Williams last shot heave was way off.

Overtime:
Overtime started off quite interestingly with both teams answering each other on the Offensive End.
With scores at 101 a piece, the Bucks went on a 10-2 run to finish of the game and head to round 2!!

Final Score: 111-103 Bucks Win

Bucks beat Magic in the first round 4-1!

Player of the Game:
Michael Redd 35pnts 5asts 4rebs 1blk

Bucks Top Players:
Tim Thomas 20nts 3rebs 3asts

Grant Hill 16pnts 4rebs 3asts FOULED OUT
Steven Hunter 16pnts 10rebs 3blks 3asts
Shammond Williams 13pnts 14asts 4rebs.

Dan Gadzuric was named Bucks key player for round 1 with averages of 4.4ppg 8.0rpg 5.8bpg 2.0apg.
There were better players than Dan, but Dan brought something we dont have, DEFENCE!!
5.8bpg during a Series must be close to a record???

They lead 39-53 at the Half with Dice leading the way with 12pnts.
The 3rd quarter saw the Knicks get out to a huge lead 45-67 but a 15-7 run to close out the 3rd, got the Bucks back within 14.
Down 14 in the 4th, the Bucks again played D-Mase at the point and it really does seem to be paying off!
Gadzuric,Randolph,Thomas,Redd,Mason all played there part in the 4th and Redd hit his only points of the 4th(A 3 pointer) with 10secs to go to seal the comeback win for the Bucks.

_____________________________________________________________

Off-Season:

Released Jason Caffey

Tim Hardaway,Mark Jackson,Karl Malone,Reggie Miller,Dikembe Mutumbo and Glen Rice were the important retirements

I got 18th pick in the draft:

With the 18th pick the Bucks select Balthaser Lake a 6'11 243lbs Centre from Iowa.
Potential: Good

Strengths:
Great Strength Under the Hoop
Excellent Team Leader
Has Several Low-Post Moves

Weaknesses:
Inconsistent Jumpshot
Suffers Minor Injuries

Turns out ot be a 53ovrl but is a work in progress, as hes born in 1985 and is only 19 :P

Forfieted the 2nd round pick to save money

Now heres the fun part:

I decided to let Desmond Mason,Damon Jones,Dion Glover and Anthony Mason go.
I had 302,800 points to spend so i signed............................................
Stephon Marbury to a 267,300/5yr Contract :D

I then traded Tim Thoms for Quentin Richardson
and later signed back Desmond Mason to a minimum deal(i know its kinda cheating, but he wanted 200,000!!)
Also got Jones back for the minimum(hes ratings really dropped, it might of been coz of his injury, but hes definatley not as good ratings wise as last season)

Trainging Camp was mainly Defense :P

2004-2005 Lineup:
C: Dan Gadzuric (47)
Pf: Zach Randolph (70)
Sf: Quentin Richardson (64)
Sg: Michael Redd (67)
Pg: Stephon Marbury (77)
-----------------------------------
C: Balthaser Lake (53)
F: Marcus Hailsip (55)
F: Desmond Mason (68)
G: Damon Jones (47)
G: TJ Ford (53)
F: Brian Skinner (56)
F: Samuel Dalembert (35)
Injured Reserve:
G: Erick Strickland (59)

Now about my lineup, im not sure whether to start the rookie yet(hes only 19) coz Gadz played so well in the playoffs.
Im still stuck on whether to start Mason or Q-Rich, im keen on Q-Rich, so we'll see what happens.
TJ Ford.............................Should i trade him?????
if so what for??

WEll the opening game is agaisnt the Miami Heat (1-0)

Tue Apr 13, 2004 12:28 am

Bucks take care of the Heat in opener!

The Bucks took care of business in the opening night, and the new players meshed very well!

Redd,Randolph and Mason paced us throughout the whole game and finished the game off really in the 3rd!

The Bucks ran out 19 point winners, 99-118

Stephon Marbury and Quentin Richardson debuted well for the team as Starbury had 16pnts 8asts(12pnts in the 3rd)
Q-Rich went on to get 15pnts

Zach Randolph was player of the game with 17pnts 13rebs 7asts 6-6FG's 5-5FT's
Michael Redd had 26pnts 6asts 10-17FG's
Desmond Mason 19pnts

Rookie Belthaser Lake impressed on debut, he finished with 6pnts 8rebs 3asts in 11mins.

Next game, the almighty Pacers

1-0

Wed Apr 14, 2004 11:53 pm

Bucks pick up 12 point win at home against the Pacers

The Bucks are doing something they never did last season..............................There Playing DEFENCE
The final score was 97-85 and the Pacers shot just .398% for the game and that was one of the best defensive performances we've had since i took over :)
Michael Redd went down in the 1st quarter with an injury, but was able to comeback, but only played a total 7 minutes in the first half.
In the 2nd half he come out and still did not look 100% as he only played 20mins for the whole game!
He managed 14pnts

Stephon Marbury was the main man tonight, he had 21pnts 8asts 4rebs 2stls which was good enough for Player Of The Game.

Zach Randolph had 16pnts 13rebs 7-11FG's, he also suffered an injury, but did not bother him.
Balthaser Lake is a prospect, hs gonna be good!
he had 10pnts 9rebs 4asts 2blks 5-9FG's, hes showed that hes also a great passer :)
Mason and Q-Rich had 10 each.

After the game I traded Erick Strickland for Steve Smith, Steve has 1 year remaining so that will be some more cap in the off-season :) and hes a decent player to have at 11th man.

We got Denver next

2-0

Thu Apr 15, 2004 12:36 pm

Any chance that Lake will grab the starting spot from Gadzuric?

Thu Apr 15, 2004 10:10 pm

Yes!!
Someone still reads this lol, i was gettin worried

Um, well Gadzuric is in there for defensive purposes and rebounding only.
Lake can score the ball, rebound, pass and he also showed some good defense last game.

I think it looks pretty good, but considering i like Gadz, we'll have to see.

Will have Denver game posted later :)

Thu Apr 15, 2004 11:10 pm

I'm currently having a Bucks dynasty too. I realised that Bucks is the best team I ever used, because I just blew past Lakers, Pacers, Detroit by at least 15 pts. Use Redd for slashing, run a pick and roll and slash towards the hoop. Then either take it all the way or pass to an open teammate, chucking up assist after assist. I don't know if it works for your team, but you might want to give it a try. I'm having an avg of 37.3 asst using this system, sort of a Kings system.

Wed Apr 21, 2004 5:52 pm

Well everyone on my team does pass the ball, it doesnt really show up in the stats, but our ball movement is great, Redd gets open foor J's, the post is fed perfect to randolph and stephon driving and creatine for himself or others is great, something i really missed last year, when ford was playing there.

anyway im back from trip, and my dad is now 40 :P
and i hope to get a couple more games played

Thu Apr 22, 2004 12:29 am

you could trade ford for m.james, thats my opinion

Thu Apr 22, 2004 3:16 am

Laddas_KB8_CA15 wrote:Scores were tied a 93-95 (Magics way)

Doh? :?

Sorry ... couldnt resist ... apart from that, nice dynasty and it is a shame you lost in the second round. I am currently in the first round of the Playoffs and on the way of losing it ...

Anyway ... Quentin Richardson is a shooting guard. I didnt quite understand, why you traded for him, having Michael Redd already on your team.

Thu Apr 22, 2004 10:46 pm

LOFL!!!!

man i didnt even recognise that heehehehe.
I traded for quentin coz he can drain the outside shot consistently unlike thomas, who would go 10-16 one game then 4-12-16 the next 2-3!

anyway, i wanna trade for a better defender in the SF position.
i was thinking Mr Posey?? or maybe Bruce Bowen and somethign else??
any ideas????

about ford for james.................hmmmm sounds good........but ford is a lot younger.
ill see what happens

Thu Apr 22, 2004 11:06 pm

If you're looking for a great SF in defense, and if you have the means to acquire him, think about Stephen Jackson, he's originally a SG in the game but can play forward without any problem (SF and SG positions are very similar). He's a damn good defenser and can score on the opposite side of the court. Well, don't ask him to nail 3's after 3's, but I'm very satisfied with him :)

Sat Apr 24, 2004 12:03 am

Bucks take care of Nuggets!

Michael Redds 27pnts lead the Bucks to there 3rd win in a row, which also makes us 3-0 for the season :P
100-86 was the final score, and it seems we have a team capable of playing defense :)
99,85,86 have been the opposing teams score in the first 3 games :)

More about the game, Carmelo Anthony tried his best for the Nugs, as he went on for a 25pnt 9reb 4ast 5blk performance.
For the Bucks, Stephon Marbury had 15pnts 7asts 4rebs and Zach Randolph had another double-double with 14pnts 14rebs 4asts.

Rookie Balthaser Lake again impressed with an 8pnt 13rebs 4asts performance!

Now i ask the question!
Should i start him???
personally i dont want to coz it may hurt my defense.
I play the Hawks next so maybe it wont hurt if i do start him next game.

Sat Apr 24, 2004 6:42 pm

I say give him a chance to start in a game or two. If you find that he plays better off the bench, go back to your old lineup.

Sun Apr 25, 2004 2:18 am

Bucks scrape out there 4th win in a row!

We came into this game looking cocky considering it was agaisnt a weak Hawks side.
We shot terribley in the first half and not one Bucks player was in double figures!
2nd half come around and we sorta got things going and sunk key free throws in the end to win 108-103(from what i remember :? )
Starbury had 25pnts 5asts 5rebs 8/11FG's 3/3 3's and that earned him a POG honour :)
Michael Redd had 24pnts 7asts 3rebs.
Zach Randolph with another double-double 20pnts 14rebs :)
Gadzuric had 4pnts 8rebs 6blks

Lake Watch:
7pnts 11rebs 3asts 13mins

4-0

Sun Apr 25, 2004 7:48 pm

Nice stat line for Lake. Did he start?

Mon Apr 26, 2004 1:50 am

Nah he come off theb ench again.
Dan Gadzuric is averaging 10.2rpg 3.8bpg and thats vital, where as Lake is getting about 8ppg 8rpg 3apg

so................. who do yous think i should start?

Mon Apr 26, 2004 2:38 am

Laddas_KB8_CA15 wrote:so................. who do yous think i should start?

Like Andrew already said. Give him a start for one or two games, than decide again ... If he plays good, let him start more games. If not, bench him ... it is as simple as that.

Bucks comeback from 27 down to beat Raptors in OT!!!

The Bucks were down 33-60 to Toronto at halftime, Bucks were shooting 29% from the field, Bucks had only one player in double figures (Redd 12pnts) and the Bucks had Marbury,Ford,Q-Rich,Jones in foul trouble!
Zach Randolph had 2pnts 3rebs at the half, Marbury 7pnts 2asts 1reb, Q-Rich 0pnts 0rebs 0asts 8mins 3 fouls!

Aswell as Redd, Lake was a good thing in the first half, 8pnts 5rebs.
Thats my rant about the first half, it was fuckin disgraceful!

2nd Half, well thats a different story!
Michael Redd come out firing, as he went on for a 17 point 3rd quarter, Randolph an 8 point quarter and Lake continued to play strongly, finishing the quarter with 12pnts 8rebs.
We were down 12 going into the 4th.
The Bucks continued to play well and we were down 2 with 10secs left, and Michael Redd made a sweet bounce pass to Marbury, who was wide-open on the Base, and he drained the jumper!

In OT we continued to play well, but Toronto just wouldnt fuck off, they kept coming back, even when i had a 8 point lead at one stage! they kept bloody coming back!
anyway Lake blocked a Vince Carter 15 footer and the crumbs fell to Jerome Williams who missed a 6 footer shot with Lake almost swatting his shit!

In the end i won 119-118 :)

Michael Redd was POG with 40pnts 8asts 4rebs 16-31FG's 5-11 3's
Stephon Marbury 21pnts 5ast 3stls 2rebs 5fls
Zach Randolph 20pnts 11rebs 5asts
Balthaser Lake 14pnts 12rebs 29mins 6-11FG's his best output so far!

We play the Lakers next.

Lake Watch:

14pnts 12rebs 2blks 29mins 6-11FG's

With Lakes impressive play, Coach Porter and GM Laddas finally agreed on starting him.

Trade News:

The Bucks sent Quentin Richardson and Brian Skinner to The Spurs for Bruce Bowen and Robert Horry.

Review:
Ok so it may seem a little one-sided for the Spurs, but with Lake added into the lineup thye dont need another scorer, they also replace him with one of the best perimeter defenders in the NBA.
Lets not forget Robert Horry in the trade also, his playoff exp. and veteran instincts are gonna be vital for this team as the season goes on.
