Guys who should i trade for Prince? In my memphis assoc. he is really upset.
I need an all around player who can defend and shoot us backup for Gay. Honestly I really don't want to get rid of Prince because he is a good defender and quick.

Oh and you know you need Will Sit on the team. :P The void left by Earl Boykins was filled by AI and the void filled by AI is now vacant... ready for this Fresh kid to join. You know you want to :P

doubt it....I said I wouldn't choose Nuggets with Iverson....same for Boykins or any other shoot first undersized PG  I prefer having bigger PG's on my roster :P

Denver is a good choice, it will be interesting to see you develop Nene and Smith, while keeping a good core of role players.

I doubt that, but unlike in Denver, JR Smith is probably a lock to start....don't know if Nene will ever develop, but we shall see....

Prince is too good a player to be on the bench....I'm sure you can find other good defenders who are quick....Trevor Ariza....although he's not a good outside shooter....Ime Udoka or whatever the heck his name is, he plays for Spurs....

Hello people, I'm not sure if you've already experienced this before but after I finished my first season with the Blazers (29 game season), the next season became 82 games! Autosave has overwritten over my save file which means there is no way for me to remedy the solution as the association settings does not have the option to revert the season back to 29 games.

If any of you guys have any insights whatsoever on the said topic let me know.

And if you guys want to know how my first season went, I went to the playoffs but got booted out in the second round by Phoenix. Nash is just so damn good in this game.

Started with the Mavs. First game against Houstons was a nice 10 points win. Good D and a slumping T-Mac were my keys to win the game, but Yao was just unstoppable.

I really like the Mavs. When I started my association I thought about getting rid of Stack but he scored 16 off the bench against the Rockets to displace Josh Howard who struggled all game long. I think I wont change too much until the trading deadline and then see whos on the block :)

I did the same thing I did in 2k8, which was go through an Association while working out sliders and such. I ended up 26-3, but the playoffs were nailbiters. Had back to back overtime games against the Lakers in the WCF, and a double overtime game in the finals against the Bucks, in which the Season MVP Baron Davis had 2 chances to win, one in regulation, one in OT, and one chance to tie in double OT, where he failed all 3 chances. Needless to say he is no longer my goto guy, but still puts up a solid game as long as I don't try to whore with him. Ended up beating the Bucks because that game was only one of two where they really challenged me, as Michael Redd went nuts in both of those games.

During the season I made the true-to-life trade putting Iverson on Detroit and Billups in Denver. Second season starts and somehow, Detroit now has both Billups and Iverson. I also got Randolph and Collins for Mobley and Thomas, but got rid of Collins. Randolph pretty much sucks, too. Not really, I just don't know how to fit him into my team. Traded Ricky Davis for Corey Brewer and Mark Madsen, and resigned Quentin Ross to give more playing time to Eric Gordon. I will miss his nasty dunks, though.

While playing through my preseason, I got excited about my future lineup, and am thinking about making moves just to make them my current starters.

PG - Mike Taylor
SG - Eric Gordon
SF - Me
PF - Al Thornton
C - DeAndre Jordan

I went fucking nuts with Jordan in the preseason, tossing everything. Now that the season has started, I know I can't give Jordan the minutes I want him to have, or else the morale of Camby and Kaman will drop.

First 4 games I am 2-2, but I am thinking about jumping to All Star difficulty just because I am playing defense now with a player in the paint, and the cpu doesn't seem to fight that hard to get leads back. The games on pro seem to be decided in this fashion- cpu is missing layups and jumpers leading to a low fg% and a blowout, I am missing layups and jumpers leading to a low fg% and a blowout, or both teams are pretty even. The playoff games were great compared to the season games.

PDub, I take it that the cpu really steps up in the playoffs? Also, what sliders are you using right now? I have been using default ones on Pro difficulty for a while now.

Same for me PDub, I just get blown or blow out, no close game after 4 games this season. The Rockets and Wolves had no chance and I won by 10 and by 20. The Cavs and the Spurs gave me two 25 point losses. It seems like I cant hit shots in those games while I can not miss a shot in the other games. Im changing my sliders a bit now, got outrebound by 15 both times, way too many off rebs by the CPU.

I noticed a small difference in the playoffs, but still had a couple games that were just blowouts. Come to think of it, I don't think I had a series go it's full length.

Snatched a 3 game loosing skit (vs Cavs, @DEN and @LAC) with a win against the Lakers (who were at 5-0).
Dirk posted 35/19 and Kidd 12p and 16 dimes. Josh Howard had 24. I changed some things like giving Stack the starting spot with the Jet coming off the bench. Kobe scored 34 and had some nice highlight plays but except Pau the others were disappointing. Im at 3-4 now.

He may not even need to rebuild them in the first two seasons. Maybe some minors move to get some young gifted players, but keep the core of TD, Manu and TP until TD retires. Then you may really want to pull some moves because SA is nothing without Tim Duncan.

Just won my 2nd straigt beating the Bulls 109-108 @CHI. Dirk again posted monster numbers with 37/8/6. Jason Kidd had 18 assists. It just seems like I get my offense running right now. The Bulls led by as many as 16 points in the 3rd but I came back thx to Stack, Terry and Howard's support. Gordon torched me for 32 and Deng added 23. Noah is tough on the glass. But all in all Dirk gave me a lead with 5 secs to go on a nice dunk. Gordon failed to deliver the dagger.

Maybe this all sounds bit unrealistic (dirks numbers, his dunk, Kidds assists) but I play with very realistic sliders. I just let it come instead of trying to play realisticly because you cannot win if you are not aggressive imho.

Just thought Id bump this thread a bit despite I need to triple post ..

So I am currently 11-12 with my Mavs .. just like in real life I cant get any consistency.
I can win against bad teams but I am 5-11 vs 50+ teams.
The last two games have been pretty high scoring: a 144-136 OT win against the upsetting Thunder and a 137-99 loss against the Nuggets (imho one of the toughest teams to beat).

Some key players:

Dirk Nowitzki : 24.1 ppg / 9.8 rpg / 2.0 apg / 1.4 bpg /.55%FG / .307% 3pt

Josh Howard: 19.1 ppg / 5.2 rpg / 1.3 apg / .401%FG / .256%3pt

Jason Terry: 16.2 ppg / 1.6rpg / 2.7 apg / .368%fg / .343%3pt

Jason Kidd: 9.5ppg / 2.9rpg / 8.5 apg / 1.0 spg / .315%fg / .296%3pt

Stack (7.9ppg), Barea (5.3ppg, 3.0apg), Bass (3.5ppg, 4.7rpg), Damp (6.4rpg, 1.1bpg), Green (5.9ppg)

I think my main problem is keeping the fg% high and grabbing enough rebounds. I am 10-1 when I have a better FG than my opponent and 5-0 when I outrebound them (which means I only outrebounded my opponent 5 of 23 games .... )

I did one trade which I think was a bit off a rape.

DAL sends James Singleton to Houston
HOU sends Von Wafer and a 2009 1st rounder to Dallas

I just did not have enough playing time for Singleton. Terry was a bit angry after I put him as a sixth man but now he is satisfied. Only Dampier says he wants more minutes but I cannot give him more due his bad stamina.
I dont think I should pull a trade now but I need to get stronger on the boards. My guards are simply not grabbing enough rebounds.
Another problem is that I dont know who to develope. Green is such a bad defender I dont even know where to start improving his D. Shawne Williams does not have enough potential imho. Barea is too small to become a great player in this league. The others are too old. I think I need some more potential .. young players. But on the other hand DAL should be a contender ... its tough.

I am editing the prospects when I have time ... I already did the top 15 guys. Im enjoying this game right now.

First off, I'm new to these boards, so please be nice to me. Here's a recap of what's happened so far in my Raptors association:
In Season 1, I went 59-23 and won the championship, defeating the Houston Rockets in five games in the NBA Finals. I then re-signed my assistant coach to a two year contract. I picked up Andrea Bargnani's option and signed Anthony Parker to a three year contract extension. In the 2009 NBA draft, I selected Clarence Baldwin with my first round pick and Anders Sundin with my second round pick. I then signed Baldwin to a two year contract, with an option for a third and fourth year. I did not sign Sundin. I then tried to sign Shawn Marion in free agency, but I didn't have the cap space to do so. However, I did sign Kelvin Cato, Dion Washington and Vitaly Potapenko. I then traded Jose Calderon to the Indiana Pacers for Shawn Marion, who had just signed a four year deal with Indiana. After doing that, I traded Jermaine O'Neal to the Boston Celtics for Ray Allen. I then signed Robert Horry before the first regular season game of my second year. Here's what my roster looks like at the moment:

Chris Bosh
Andrea Bargnani
Anthony Parker
Ray Allen**
Shawn Marion
Jason Kapono
Kris Humphries
Roko Ukic
Clarence Baldwin*
Kelvin Cato**
Dion Washington
Vitaly Potapenko
Robert Horry**

* denotes rookie
** denotes that player has a no trade clause in his contract.

I am currently 23-6 in my second season in my Raptors association. I'm hoping to make it through at least three seasons.

raptorsfan21, you changed pretty much although youve won the championship. Who is your starting PG now with Calderon gone? Imho your team got worse because Allen isnt a reliable defender and Marion would be a great alley oop partner for Calderon but these are the players you swapped. And your newly acquisitions are not the best imho. Still you are having success though with 23-6 .... what difficulty do you play ?

ChrisO0, Nice move to get Grant Hill back to Orlando. Does he contribute well?
I cant say much about the Hart Bogans swap but I think with Johnson gone you just needed a backup PG. Turkoglu is a decent player but you have to find good shots for him and he isnt the best driving to the basket. I dont think you should trade him since almost every position on your roster is stacked. Just keep it coming with him especially when you pass out of double teams with Howard and Lewis.

Im still not really doing well with my Mavs. I lost against the Raptors than won against the Nets and the Wizards but again couldnt build a streak and fell to the Grizzlie just followed by a lose in Portland where I led most of the game but Roy came up big in the 4th.
Still no clue how to strenghten my roster. I clearly need some inside presence but my contract situation just does not give me any space. I think I have to deal with it until offseason.
If I seem to not get to the playoffs before trading deadline I will try to work out something big. We will still see.

Wright is definitely better than Foyle. Foyle is just too slow and unathletic although hes quite a shotblocker. But I think with D-How you dont have any problems on the big positions anyway.

Just played the Clippers. I was quite fun. Ive lost both matches this season against them and this time I was really keen on smashin them. I went off to a 15-0 start and led ridiculously 40-8 after the 1st. That has not happened this season so far. I gave minutes to my whole bench and sat out Dirk and Kidd for the whole three quarters. Josh had 31p 10rb and 6 assists and shot 3-4 from downtown. Won 101-86 :) First win against the Clipps.
To my suprising Shawne Williams is quite gifted. I gave him minutes and he paid back with 21 points. Despite his big body he is more a shooter and outside scorer I noticed. His D sucks though. Not sure wether I should trade him or not.

The Grizzlies just gave an offer for Damp who is on my block right now : Darko <-> Damp. I dont think I will do this trade. Its just like Darko has never really played well in this league.
I have some other good offers for Gerald Green and Shawne Williams but I am not sure right now if I really need to deal anybody.

And Parker doesnt get burned by quicker guys especially stars like CP3? Just curious because I often think that a decent PG in this game is not pretty important .. I mean I have Kidd and I like him but I also like Barea whos playing almost as solid as Kidd.

ChrisO0 wrote:hova-, I would never trade for Milicic. He is very useless as he cannot either score or defend.
I am currently thinking about the situation for the next season. 6 contracts run out. Hedo got a player option which his agent says he will use. For Redick I've got a team option I will use. I want to draft a center at first and the a PG. Maybe Redick will play the Backup point guard next season and I will draft a backup SF.
Just switched the difficulty from Allstar to Superstar...man that's tough. Big difference in my opinion.

Ye Milicic is too bad to trade for, I wouldnt do that.

Im just playing on Pro, so I know its quite difficult to play All-Star and Superstar. Im just bad I guess ^^

Hello, I'm playing the Nuggets and I'm in the 2nd season. I won the NBA in the 1st season mostly because I played on Pro (its my first NBA 2K game). In the 2nd season I'm playing on All-Star with some slightly changed sliders. My current record is 41-23. A lot of trades changed the original Nuggets roster. During the preseason I signed Steve Nash for one season and Antawn Jamison, both free agents.
Current Starting line-up: PG - Steve Nash, SG - JR Smith, SF - Carmelo Anthony, PF - Antawn Jamison, C - Brook Lopez
Bench: Derrick Rose, Nicolas Batum, Trevor Ariza, Varejao, Pecherov and the two undrafted rookies Osborne and Columbus.
I intend to let Steve Nash go at the end of the season in order to start D-Rose at PG. Also, I might trade Jamison for a young and talented PF.
Here are my team stats so far:

P.S.: I'm playing this game on PC. And oh yeah, I simulate most games against easier teams.

Okay, I am now up to a record of 31-8 in Season 2 of my Raptors association. Unfortunately, Roko Ukic is not going to be avaliable to me for a while due to a strained abdomen. Also, I'm considering trading Anthony Parker to the Denver Nuggets for J.R. Smith during the 2010 offseason. Any of you guys think I should go ahead with that once I reach that point?
