two reasons - 1) the former always made me itchy to start a GS dynasty again (my hometeam and i originally started with the Dubs) but i really want to stick w/HOU since i like them about as much, having followed T-MAC since his Raptor days; "P-JAC" is a play on nicknames in honor of my fav coach; 2) plus it got old typing "boomdizzle"<shift>+3+"5" a zillion times when not able to log-in ;)

although, lately it's gotten better so props to Andrew and Team NLSC for whatever they're doing (Y) i hope it keeps

True man. Although, I would never call Jax P-Jac :P

Why not be Jax?

Tue Nov 06, 2007 9:09 pm

lol i thought i was the only one using P-Jax when referring to phil...

Sun Nov 11, 2007 9:19 pm

Great chapter (Y)

I wanna ask,why Moten was so disappointed when he signed with UCSB?

Mon Nov 12, 2007 10:15 pm

You would know about Moten if you had read Chapter 2 where he thinks he would rather be playing at Duke.

Tue Nov 13, 2007 3:42 am

Kobe's aloofness is annoying; managing to capture it in a virtual dynasty is tough to do but you've got it down; very nice man (Y) keep it up

Team China Highlights Lakers Exhibition Schedule

7 Oct (AP) -- Kobe Bryant and the Los Angeles Lakers will play against Team China in back-to-back exhibition games at the STAPLES Centre; highlighting a busy preseason schedule. A total of seven preseason games will be played by the Lakers with the first two against the Golden State Warriors, followed by a game against the Utah Jazz, two games against Team China, and games against the Seattle Supersonics and the Sacramento Kings.

Many are waiting to see the Lakers play against Golden State who upset the number 1 seeded Dallas Mavericks in the first round of the 2007 playoffs while others are waiting to catch a glimpse of the number 2 overall pick of the 2007 NBA Draft, Kevin Durant, when Seattle visits LA. However, many will be intrigued by the match up between the Lakers and Team China.

Team China has been playing in Summer Leagues around the United States against other NBA Summer League teams. Former NBA player Wang Zhizhi will lead the Chinese national team. Lakers draft pick Sun Yue will also appear in uniform for Team China. Yao Ming will not play for Team China as he is tied up with his commitment to the Houston Rockets. Yi Jianlian might play depending on whether the Milwaukee Bucks will grant him time off from his commitment to the Bucks.

“The two games against Team China will definitely be interesting,” Lakers coach Phil Jackson commented, “We will see how our side goes against an international squad who are looking to make a name for themselves ahead of the Olympic Games.”

Wang Zhizhi spoke on behalf of his side, “We are excited for the opportunity to play the Los Angeles Lakers. Kobe Bryant is a great player and it will be a good experience to see if we can beat his team.”

The Lakers have been struggling recently with injuries. Lamar Odom, Kwame Brown, Chris Mihm, Bryant, and Luke Walton have all been sitting out various parts of training in the past few days. Jackson has stated that the team will be healthy by the start of the season.
