Is this template any good?
(Inspiration)

Sat Nov 17, 2007 11:42 pm

Mmm... I personally think, this template ain't looking very good, but with some editing It could look not bad, though I'd like to see you keeping the previous recap style...

Anyways, what a crazy game. Too bad Kobe fouled out, I remember, everytime I went to ovetime with the Lakers, I'd score 8-10 points with Kobe, in that period :)

I personally don't like it :D

Anyway...20T!!! Wow what a game! Good win (Y)

Agreed, with some reworking it'll look pretty nice. I'm not feeling that font for the main type; maybe try use a (cleaner one like the one from the 'inspiration' link)

great win though (Y)

It's Kobe Bryant's game.
3rd quarter intervention.

Raja Bell couldn't handle "Mamba".

Recap - Highlights - Play-by-Play

3rd quarter surge.

The Lakers started the 4th quarter hot, going on a 13-2 run. It really opened the game up.
The Suns were struggling. Steve Nash had 3 turnovers in a 3 minute span. Kobe Bryant scored
easily.. Raja Bell did have 4 steals in the game, but he couldn't handle Mamba.

Lakers Turnover-fest late in the 3rd.

After the run, the Lakers didn't concentrate to handling the basketball. D'Antoni called a
time-out.. And the mission was imple - trap Kobe Bryant. Whenever Kobe caught the ball from
a teammate, 2 guys were around him.. He had many turnovers that quarter.. Mostly
cause his teammates weren't ready to recieve the basketball..

Shawn Marion's injury.

The Matrix went up for a dunk against Ronny Turiaf, but came down awkwardly on
his left leg.. He was immediately headed to the locker-room with teams medical staff..
Get well, Shawn!

The Kobe Bryant show.

After finishing his 15 point 3rd quarter, Kobe Bryant took over the game.. His teammates
shoved hesitation in the game, so Kobe knew, what he had to too. The Lakers scored 45
in the 4th quarter.. And Kobe Bryant? He had 35 of those. Someone should remind him,
this is the pre-season.. He finished with 69 points.. "Who's game it is? It's Kobe's game!" said
game broadcaster, also the GM of the Phoenix Suns, Steve Kerr.

Finishing the job.

After Brian Cook's offensive rebound and the put-back, Steve Nash missed a quick shot.
They fouled cook, who made both free throws. The Suns once again missed a shot, and
guess who got the board? Who else, but KB24.. He was fouled and he sunk both free throws..
The Lakers were up by 5 points. Diaw inbounded the ball from back-court, but just threw it into
Kobe's hands. He was fouled again and that was it. Brian Cook helped Kobe with 10 points.
Lamar Odom, who came of the bench, shot just 4-14 with no free throws, he finished with 8,
just like Fisher, Walton and Bynum.

Awesome game by Kobe, 69 is unbelievable, but not a miracle, fireing up 54 shots. lol
Also good presentation, but I think you oversharpen your images.

Wallace dominates defensively, Lakers defeated in pre-season finale..
4th quarter intervention.

Image
This landing may cost Adam Morrison this season.. He landed awkwardly on his knee..

Image Lakers 83 - 102 Bobcats Image
* Click on Team Names for Box scores.

Recap - Highlights - Play-by-Play

Low-scoring first quarter.

With Kobe, Lamar and Derek, all in placed in the injury reserve, the Lakers couldn't find
anyone to score the basketball. Only 10 points in twelve minutes. But they followed it up with
21 points..

The Lakers shooting from beyond the arc.

The Lakers shot 0-4 from downtown in the first half. They followed it up with 0-11 in the
second half. Radmanovic shot 0-5, Maurice Evans 0-4.. The Lakers are sure lacking long
touch.. P. Jackson isn't happy with Radmanovic, the so-called "shooter".

Wallace' defensive statement.

Defended by Gerald Wallace, Luke Walton and Vladmir Radmanovic had 12 turnovers
combined.. Walton had 10 (!) of them in 23 minutes. Wallace finished with 8 steals and 4
blocks.. He added 23 points and 7 boards, a Fantasy killer..

Morrison's knee.

With Sean May already out for the 07/08 campaign, Adam Morrison may be added to that
list.. He had a terrible landing going for a rebound.. The injury isn't as bad as Shaun Livingston's
last year, against the Bobcats, but there's no relief for the Bobcats. Morrison may
need surgery and that means skipping this season for Adam Morrison.

Lakers looking for long range.

Lakers are mentioned in the trade rumors again. This time with the Sixers.
They are looking to add sharp-shooter Kyle Korver, who averaged only 9
points this pre-season. Korver is a career 41% percent three point shooter.

The Lakers are not happy with the play of Vladimir Radmanovic, who's
shot 2-10 from long range this season..

After the pre-season finale, where the Lakers shot 0-14 from deep, Mitch
Kupchak looked at some teams.. Korver was the first name that popped in
to his head..

If a deal is finalized, it will probably include Radmanovic.

Mon Nov 19, 2007 9:45 am

G-Wall had a good game. I personally don't like Radmanovic either....prefer Korver. Good Luck

Mon Nov 19, 2007 10:52 pm

I think the trade is pretty good for you  (Y)

Tue Nov 20, 2007 3:21 am

Wow, what a strange pre-season finale, I've never expected you to lose to Bobcats(despite their off-season improvement)...

About the Rad-man trade, hmm.. I don't really think it's realistic, as you see in real-life he's doing a terrific job this season(after his previous, awful one), I doubt that you really need to execute this trade...

Tue Nov 20, 2007 3:42 am

understandable loss in the final pre-season game with your big guns taking a break; Kobe and Korver? they'd actually compliment each other quite nicely

Tue Nov 20, 2007 3:43 am

my bad; double-posted

Keep up the hard work .
I loved how it said "Get well, Shawn!"
you like Shawn as a player? :)

Wed Nov 21, 2007 10:17 am

Are you sharpening your pictures in photoshop, cause that's what it looks like. I think the pictures would be a lot nicer if you just let them be as they are, and not try to enhance them. (if you are not then my bad).

Wed Nov 21, 2007 10:40 am

I actually kind of like the image sharpening. Maybe just tone it down a little. It does look a little cartoonish, but it would be really nice if toned down a little.

Wed Nov 21, 2007 12:10 pm

Wow! This is exceptional! Right now, this and Sit's dynasties stand out as the best Laker dynasties in my opinion.

The image sharpening is an interesting idea. It makes it look more next-gen at first glance, but up close it looks bad. I don't know what you should do though, since it is a different look, and the game itself doesn't have very good graphics.

Lakers acquire Trevor Ariza.

RealGM : The Orlando Magic have been searching for a big man to replace the injured Tony Battie and have found their man.

On Tuesday, the Orlando traded forward Trevor Ariza to the Los Angeles Lakers for forward Brian Cook and guard Maurice Evans.

To make room on the roster, the Magic released forward Bo Outlaw.

The Magic used their $2.6 million injury exemption, from the Tony Battie injury, to make the deal work. .

RealGM Rating :

Lakers: A
Magic : D+

Good to see you doing the real life trade. I don't really understand the trade grades though. Ariza is a very solid player, but the Magic get more talent, and actually fill a need. I would say B's for both teams but that is just me.

Would love to also see Korver as a Laker.

yeah i think LA got robbed haha

EDIT: ah yo KM is Ariza a star stopper in your roster? or a star highflyer? i hope so.....or your going to hate him...i think?

Fri Nov 23, 2007 5:00 am

Cook for Ariza, would've been perfect, but adding Maurice... I think they gave up too much for this guy... Still I love that you follow the real-life events.. (Y)
