yea larry hughes is real good both in game and in real... kwame is good in game but not in real. the main catch is that they r both good and still FA... otherwise i wouldnt hav traded for them for kobe. thanks

it was a quiet big game for him i didnt even notice his 20 plus rebounds until the end. it was really all parker tonight. 6/8 from dowtown for a 62 3pt rating is off the charts. i might hav to tone it down to 9 minutes cause the scorings a lil high and it was too easy to grab 21 boards.

i played the 2nd game yesterday ill do a summary of it. it wasnt as exciting so i might not put all the stats up, except for key players. im playin on xbox so its a pain in the ass to write down on paper all the stats and then come to my comp and insert them. ill also play games 3 and 4, if not more... today. peace

ESPNEWS-Tim Duncan and the San Antonio Spurs wouldn't let Phoenix go home with a 2-0 series lead tonight. Don't let the score fool you; this game was a blowout. Up by 22 points in the 3rd quarter, Shawn Marion and Larry Hughes incessantly pressed the inbounds and brought them back within 5 with 2 seconds to go. The game was never winnable for the Suns after the 5 minute mark in the 1st quarter. Quentin Richardson had his second straight strong game, putting up 22 points. For Phoenix Larry Hughes lead the team in scoring with 22. Amare and Marion had 21 apiece. The difference between this game and the last one was the bench. Last game Damon Jones and Kwame Brown combined for 34 points off the bench. Tonight they combined for 17.

Right out of the gates the Spurs played with a higher intensity then last night. They refused to let Phoenix come back onto their home court and steal a game. After his dominant performace yesterday, Amare was quickly fed the ball downstairs. He got off to a fast start, as did his counter part Timmy. In the 2nd quarter Shawn Marion once again got sizzled by Q's hot 3 point shooting, as he hit 3 in the quarter. Brent Barry lit it up again tonight, scoring 24 off of 4 3's. Neither team shot amazing from the field at 47%, but the 3s were the difference. Phoenix hit 9 while the Spurs hit 13. At the half Spurs led by 7 and after that it was never a contest. Phoenix only scored 12 points in the 3rd quarter, a season and playoff low. The momentum has clearly shifted in the series, and we'll have to see if the Spurs can go to Phoenix and steal a game, gaining back home court advantage.

There's no better crowd then the Phoenix fans, so they have to do whatever they can to get them into the game. With the series tied 1-1, this game will be key. Marion has to step it up, only averaging 19 PPG in the first 2.

ESPNEWS-A 15 point 3rd quarter deficit didn't faze the Suns, as they went on a 4th quarter run leading to victory. Phoenix's balanced offense proved to be very affective today, with four players scoring 20 or more points. Amare Stoudamire, Shawn Marion, Larry Hughes, and Tony Parker all had strong games. For San Antonio it didn't help that Quentin Richardson didn't play due to a strained calf. He reportedly fell through the air shaft between the airplane and the tunnel back in San Antonio, and didn't take the flight. Instead he'll be ready to go when the team arrives back in San Antonio for a potential game 6. Bruce Bowen started in his place.

In the first quarter the score went back and forth, with Tim Duncan clearly dominating the paint. He finished with 24 points, 11/13 from the field. Before the game started Mike D'Antoni told Parker that the gameplan was to get the ball into Amare's hands. This proved to be easier said then done. Amare worked as hard as he could to get open downlow, and when he did get the ball, Duncan and Nesterovic were waiting for him for the block. As a result Amare got fatigued very quickly, forcing Phoenix to change the gameplan. Trying to find a source of quick offense, Larry Hughes stepped up and knocked down shots. He became the go-to-guy in the quarter. After a slow paced, close scoring quarter, the Spurs came out on top 28:24. In the 2nd quarter Phoenix made small runs behind steals from Hughes and Marion, but consecutive 3s by Manu Ginobili sent any hope of a run back where it came from. Ginobili got a lot of playing time in the 1st half because of Brent Barry's foul trouble. He picked up 3 fouls at the beginning of the 2nd quarter. Ginobili took advantage of the opportunity and finished with 26 points. At the half the score was 53-48 in favor of the Spurs.

----In the 3rd quarter the two teams combined for 69 points. Phoenix outscored San Antonio 35-34 in the quarter behind strong play from Shawn Marion. In the beginning of the quarter Phoenix saw its grasp on the game grow smaller and smaller, as they failed to execute down the stretch for long minutes. On the other side Ginobili and Duncan continued to work it and put the ball through the hoop. All of a sudden with 2 minutes to go in the quarter Phoenix found itself down by 15. D'Antoni called a timeout and put in all his starters. Larry Hughes coming off a long rest pumped up the fans with 2 consecutive steals and his trade mark sideways hanging dunk. The fans began to chant "Larry H-uuuuuuuu-ghes", which got all the players back into the game. Next it was Marion with the steal and fastbreak slam-a-jama. With 5 steals in 2 minutes Phoenix found itself down by a mere 4 points. In the last quarter it was neck-and-neck, with San Antonio going down to its bread and butter, Tim Duncan. For Phoenix Amare began to call for the ball and he executed tough fadeaways and hook shots over the Spurs' big men. With 2 minutes to go it looked like game 1 all over again. Tie game. Let's go to the video play-by-play man Arthur McCormack.

"Wow what a game. This is turning out to be a replica of game 1 back in Texas! Alright enough chit chat the players are coming out of the timeout. Score tied at 100, 2 minutes to go. Ginobili brings the ball up the court, passes to Tim Duncan, Duncan puts the move on Amare, down comes the double team from Hughes... TD dishes it out to wide open Barry, for 3......... SWISH! 101-98 lead San Antonio. Stoudamire passes it in to Parker, oh wow steal by Ginobili! He just went in there and took it fro--STOLEN BACK BY HUGHES! Hughes runs up court and passes to Marion, who passes back to Hughes, who slows down the offe--STOLEN BY Ginobili once again! He gives it up to the outlet Bruce Bowen who runs up court for the easy layup! WOW! What a crazy sequence. Mike D'Antoni takes a timeout, smart decision. If this young team keeps playing like this the game will be out of reach. 103-98 lead for the Spurs with 1:30 left in the game. Interesting move by the Suns, Damon Jones coming in for Larry Hughes. It's obvious they're going for the 3. Marion gives it in to Parker, who calls the play. Jones comes around the off ball pick, catches it behind the top of the arc, shoots.... SWISH!! It's a 2 point game with a minute to go! Bowen quickly sends it in to rookie PG Wright, who walks it up the court. Wright dribbles out the shot clock, begins to make his move with 5 seconds left on the clock. Nowhere to go for Wright, what great defense by Parker. Wright chucks up the hopeless 3... AIRBALL! 45 seconds to go down 2, Phoenix takes a timeout. Parker catches the ball, holds it in triple threat. Brendan Haywood comes up to set the pick, Parker comes around it. He releases the 3 for the lead...... IT'S GOOD! His 1st 3 of the game on 5 attempts, and what timing! No timeouts left for the Spurs, they're forced to bring it up and execute a play with 25 seconds to go. Barry holds the ball at the top of the key, waiting for the last shot. Hughes pressures him for the steal, I don't know if thats a smart decision in this situation over the foul limit. HUGHES POKES IT OUT OF BARRY'S HANDS!!! He grabs it and calls a quick timeout!!! That's going to be the game right there folks, that's the game!!! Phoenix wins! Phoeeeeeeeeeeeeenix wins!!!!!!"

After a couple misses and a few trips to the line, Phoenix walked away victorious to the anonymous sound of "Larry H-uuuuuuuuu-ghes" coming from the fans.

thanks also yeah damon jones was ROBBED for 6th man of the year. im puttin up the awards right now, i cant believe he didnt get it, his stats deserved it. hes averaging 15 ppg in the 3 playoff games so far... and had 20 and 7 3's in my first game. hes great... haslem he gets 20 minutes per but hes not my option on offense as i hav kwame/jones off the bench, and wtv starter is in for me will get touches... if its TP, marion, or hughes.

MVP-Jason Kidd

Jason Kidd's Nets didn't even make the playoffs, but his jawbreaking 33 triple doubles was enough to earn him MVP honors. Top 10 in points, number 2 in assists, along with 6.5 rebounds per game is enough to earn anyone bragging rights. Add 2.15 steals per game and you've got yourself a winner.
