carr is the white version of rodman

to your question about the recaps, it really doesn't matter as long as you present it and have some screens for it. good dynasty so far.

Mon Dec 13, 2004 11:09 am

yeah small recaps are fine. as long as people get the jist of what happened. alot of the game can be seen in the box score. pretty nice trades though i like Nelson he wouldnt have gotten much PT at the backup pg spot.

Mon Dec 13, 2004 11:14 am

exactly.....the LA trade was pretty good, in my opinion....my reasons:

1) Jameer wouldn't have gotten to develop much on my team.

2) The Lakers REALLY needed a point guard, and a good PF in Worley helps them too. The Lakers got 2 starters out of this- and gave up two benchies (on their roster at least. George was ahead of Butler).

3) I really wanted Kareem Rush- Kansas City native.

Caron Butler.......I really regret that he had to be included. I still have no idea what I'm going to do with him.

maybe he can be like sheed, play one game with you and then get traded

Mon Dec 13, 2004 1:14 pm

and set franchise scoring average record or something

Rodman

Mon Dec 13, 2004 2:09 pm

Big news from the Knights front office today....after scouting a game of the ABA's Orange County Crush, has decided to take a gamble and sign former NBA rebounding king Dennis Rodman to a 1-year minimum deal. Rodman requested minimal media coverage, to focus on getting full back into NBA shape, but the team did supply this photo release of Rodman. Rumor has it Rodman has actually put on 1-2 inches over his former 6'6" frame, it seems he's tipping at nearly 6'9" now.

While Rodman definitely isn't the player he used to be, now that's he is 42 years old, he has shown in his games with the Crush that he is still a formidable rebounder, and quite potent on defense.

CARON BUTLER UPDATE: While it has been well-known that Caron Butler is not happy with the Kansas City situation, the Rodman signing hasn't helped matters. It seems that Caron is demanding a trade, with which management doesn't have much of a problem. The only trouble is, the Knights are fairly happy with their roster as is, so they might end up unloading him for some cap room. More on this as the story develops.

good stuff, cant wait to see what happens with the caron butler situation

Caron Butler!

Tue Dec 14, 2004 1:52 am

What will happen with Caron Butler??? Do you have some targets in some teams???

Great sign in Rodman... make his head with a freak color... like a dark blue or a purple!!!

Nice idea man, this retro jersey looks like Spurs'. :P
All is great !

Tue Dec 14, 2004 7:43 am

oh my god i love what you are doing with this. espically the one with rodman, great idea of adding him, this really should spice things up

Tue Dec 14, 2004 3:24 pm

Wow...I suck because I didn't know that once you play another game, you can't look back at the boxscores for previous games. So I don't have the boxscore for this game, but here it is.....I got the hell beat out of me by the Timberwolves (113-86). Rodman made his debut- he only scored 2 but had 3 blocks and 7 rebounds, if I remember correctly. I do have some screenshots, just not the boxscores...sorry

Rodman's first field goal as a Knight:

A nice block:

Trade

Image

The Knights have pulled the trigger on their second, and most likely final, trade of the season, sending unhappy forward Caron Butler, underachieving center Chris Mihm, and the unused Stacey Augmon to the Charlotte Bobcats for explosive forward Gerald Wallace, shot blocking center Jahidi White, and swingman Bernard Robinson, who is unlikely to be used, unless there is an injury to the team.

Tue Dec 14, 2004 8:36 pm

haha, luv your new avatar....

with regards to your trade, I use all those guys in my Bobcats dynasty and I think you will be pleasantly surprised....Gerald Wallace is a great slasher, but he needs a lot of work on his jumpshot....I have actually found Gerald Wallace's biggest asset is his defense....I regularly put him up against the opposing team's best offensive SG or SF, and have had success in containing Kobe Bryant, Paul Pierce and others....I think I got him averaging about 13ppg, 8rpg and 1.5spg....

I find Jahidi White effective against powerful postmen, but he can struggle against taller forwards and centres.....as for Bernard Robinson, I have only just activated him and he's actually getting some burn, he's like a super-poor man's Scottie Pippen, as he can do a little bit of everything.....however, considering you already got Grant Hill in the fold, you probably won't get much use for him unless someone gets injured as you said....

yeah i like the pick up of Gerald wallce for your team, he cant hit jumpers but he can post up smaller sf. he is also a good rebounder.

Player of the game:

Dwight Howard (Knights):
27pts, 15reb, 2ast, 2stl, 2blk

Notes:
The First quarter was simmed. I played the rest. (Y) How is this format? I think it's very simple and gets the point across. The boxscores do alot of talking. Certainly much easier to post and I can get more games played this way.

nice win, that quick start by the comp in the first really helped out. dwight is lookin like the real deal!

Grant Hill injury

Wed Dec 15, 2004 10:20 am

Breaking News!

Grant Hill's return to good health this year has been one of the feel-good stories of the NBA. But things took a rather tragic turn today as Hill tripped down a flight of stairs at the Knights practice facility in midtown Kansas City. Early reports suggest that Hill has fractured his right leg, and has suffered a sprained wrist. The status of his knee is unknown, as is the possibility of Hill returning to the team anytime soon.

Coach Johnny Davis released a short statement:

This is devestating to our team, but beyond that, I feel horrible for Grant. The joy this young man has experienced being able to play the game he loves again has been tremendous- this just isn't fair for him. I'm going to be honest with you here- He doesn't want to lead anyone on....It doesn't look like Grant will be returning to the court this season. We have already talked about him perhaps joining us on the bench as a sort of "acting assistant coach", and while it's not exactly thrilling, he still wants to help this team in any way he can. As far as our rotation goes, you can expect Niloloz Tskitishvili to be starting our next game at PF, with Gerald Wallace starting at SF. This may change, depending on who proves themselves as the strongest player at the position.....I'm not sure what else to say. Just pray for Grant....he deserves better.

Recently acquired Bernard Robinson has been activated from the IR to take Hill's roster spot.

Wed Dec 15, 2004 1:40 pm

ouch, grant just cant stop being injured, even virutally. i feel bad for him even though this is a game. Wallace should be exciting as a starter.

Thu Dec 16, 2004 6:22 am

Great updates!

Nice Trade you made with the Bobcats
Sucks that Hill is gone for a while...

keep this up!

*Kick ass avatar  *

I can't believe you did that to Grant. That's the breaks tho.

Thu Dec 16, 2004 7:59 am

Just when you think Grant has made that well deserved comeback. Loving your dynasty, Donatello, although you probably already know that. ...good luck with the Kansas City Kings... I mean Knights.
