Game 5- Back in Washington, the Wizards were ready to finish Orlando off, and they proved it in the first quarter, jumping out to an early lead, but the Magic refused to fold, as they came back into it. The entire second is was a tense, back and forth battle, with neither team able to take control. Come the forth quarter, with the scores tied at 75, the Wizards went on a huge run to seal the series, with a 16-0 run to end the game.

Kwame Brown earned POG honors with 32 points, 17 rebounds and 6 blocks, most of his rebounds coming during the run as Orlando was chucking up 3's from 5 feet beyond the arc. Jerry Stackhouse finished with 27, and Gilbert Arenas had another struggling game scoring wise, but finished with 14 assists.

The Wizards took the series 4-1, and face the New Orleans Hornets in the Eastern Conference Finals, with games 1 and 2 in Washington, as well as games 5 and 7 if they are required.

Just played Game's 1 and 2 of the EC Finals against the Hornets, and I have a 2-0 lead in the series. Game 1 I ended up winning by 18 or more points, and Game 2 I won by 13.

Kwame has been a monster in this series, averaging around 27 points and 15 rebounds, but for the playoffs, he's around 23 points and 11 rebounds.

I'll play Game 3 tomorrow, possibly Game 4 if I'm in the mood. Check back tomorrow night!

Played Game's 3 and 4, and both were complete blowouts in my favor as I sent the Hornets packing. Game 3 I won by about 20 and Game 4 I won by 28 as Kwame Brown had a 21/20 night.

I face the TimberWolves in the NBA Finals.

NBA Finals, Game 1 in Washington- The Wizards jumped out to an early 7-3 lead, but the first quarter was kept close right throughout, with the Wizards up 33-27 after the first quarter. The Wolves fought back in the 2nd quarter, and got within 1 at half time. The 3rd quarter was a great one, with both teams going toe-to-toe as the 3rd quarter finished with the scores locked at 75. Then comes the fourth quarter, the Wolves got an 8 point lead and seemed to have taken control of the game with 4 minutes remaining. But the Wizards led by Kwame Brown and Jerry Stackhouse refused to fold, as the came storming back in to the game, and retook the lead with 2 minutes left. The Wizards went on a crucial 6-0 run, which put Washington up by 7 with a minute left. From there, the Timberwolves had just run out of stem and couldn't get any closer as the Wizards came away with a 101-94 Game 1 victory. Kevin Garnett was kept extremely quiet all game, with only 2 points and 1 rebound, as he was always in foul problems. Once he picked up his 5th foul, Flip Saunders took him out and he never saw game action for the rest of the night.

Kevin Garnett said in the after game press conference that he gives full props to the Wizards youngster Kwame Brown for playing terrific defense all night on him, and see's this kid as the NBA superstar in a few years. Kwame Brown was rewarded for his terrific play with POG honors, after posting 26 points, 15 rebounds, 8 blocks and 3 assists, and only 1 tumover. But KG promised this, he's gonna fight Kwame Brown for the rest of the series.

The reason the numbers I held Garnett to look so bad is because I only play on 6 minute quarters.

I think Garnett is like Duncan too, yeah, (Y)

I always held him to like 25 points (you know, he's fast and dunks a lot on breakaways), but he always ends up with bad rebounds and assists numbers...

Played Game 2, and it was another close right throughout, but a late run from the Wizards sealed a Game 2 victory. Kevin Garnett got in foul problems, again, and was held scoreless and only 2 rebounds. Kwame Brown was POG with 16 points and 10 rebounds, while Jerry Stackhouse had an off game with 11 points, while Gilbert Arenas had a 15 point, 10 assist game for Washington, his first double double in a while.

Wizards lead 2-0 as the series moves to Minneapolis for Game's 3 and 4, and Game 5 if required, and if required, Game's 6 and 7 are back in Washington.

Game 3- As the series moved to Minnesota, Kevin Garnett had his best game of the finals so far, with 4 points and 5 rebounds. But it was enough to see his Wolves get a 91-87 Game 3 win. Jerry Stackhouse had a better game, scoring 23 points, but it was Kwame Brown doing everything again for the Wizards with 27 points, 11 rebounds and 6 blocks.

The series is at 2-1, with the Wizards having the pleasure of leading.

Game 4- With the T'Wolves finally winning a game in the series, the Wizards looked for revenge, and they got it as they went onto a 92-86 overtime victory. While Kevin Garnett was finally not in foul problems, he was still quiet with 6 points, 4 rebounds and 2 assists. Kwame Brown put on an MVP type performance with 19 points and 19 rebounds. Jerry Stackhouse also had an MVP type game with 27 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists.

During the press conference, Wizards coach Doug Collins said 'Now we have a commanding 3-1 lead, I won't mind losing Game 5, so we can have a chance to win the championship at home in Washington.'

Game 5- With the Wizards eager to win the title back in Washington, they took it a bit easier in Game 5, handing the Timberwolves a 22 point win. The series now at 3-2 as we head back to Washington.

Game 6- The Wizards wanted to end it here. No Game 7 was the plead. The Wizards came out strong, but it was the Timberwolves who lead for most of the game, but by no more than 8 points. The Wizards clawed their way back in the 3rd quarter, taking a 8 point lead into the 4th quarter. From there, the Wizards cast a spell on the Wolves, jumping out to a 14 point lead. But the Wolves refused to fold. They were within 4 points with 2 minutes left, but that was the closest they got, as the Wizards went onto a 10 point win to take the NBA Championship, 4-2.

NBA Finals MVP: Kwame Brown, 22pts, 11reb, 5blk, 2ast for the playoffs. (Averages rounded off)

Off-Season

NBA Draft
Wizards used the #22 NBA Draft pick on a 6'11 center from Old Diminion, his name, Balthasar Rogers. His strengths are:

Very Intelligent Player
Dominant Shot Blocker
Great Inside Scorer

Weaknesses:
Jump shot needs work
Not a factor on the fast break
Poor free throw shooter

Wizards waived their 2nd round pick, Rolf Bellows, a 7 footer from Ill-Chicago.

Re-Sign Free Agents
The Wizards announced the re-signings of 2 players:
Chris Whitney- 1 year, 142,500
Etan Thomas- 5 years, 100,000

Sign Free Agents
Wizards did not sign anyone

Trades
The Wizards number one target in the off-season was Ron Artest, but the Utah Jazz refused to trade him. So the Wizards called up the Cleveland Cavaliers, and agreed to a 6-player trade.

Cavs got:
Larry Hughes
Christian Laettner
Jahidi White

Wizards got:
LeBron James
Aaron Williams
Lethanual Daniels

After all the off-season movement by Washington, they kept their overall rating of #6.

The Wizards roster now looks like this:

Kwame/ Williams
LeBron/ Jeffries
Stackhouse/ Hayes/ Dixon
Arenas/ Whitney/ Blake

IR-
Rogers

The Wizards opened the new season in Washington against the New Orleans Hornets. With LeBron in town, it seems as though he, Kwame and Arenas are the future of the franchise, even though Kwame and LeBron are both free agents after the season.

The Wizards got off to a great start, defeating the Hornets 99-62. LeBron was POG with 24 points, 3 rebounds and 6 assists. Jerry Stackhouse added 22 for the Wizards, and they also got 14 points and 7 rebounds from Kwame Brown. Gilbert Arenas had 10 points and 4 assists.

Next game is in Miami.
