I don't know what I did, but I accidentally set the playing quarter to 5 minutes, thus the shorter quarters. I actually played several games before I realized what happened, so the next couple games are going to be strangely shortened in the last quarter.

Tough way to lose and with 7 minutes left you could have easily wiped out that 6 point lead. You should launch an appeal. :mrgreen:

Ugh not good.
Apparently last night when I went to sleep I kicked over a bottle of water, spilling it onto my laptop keyboard. (Thats what I was assuming) This resulted in my computer not being able to turn on.... I flipped it over and let the hair dryer to blow on the computer, its been drying for about 2 hours now and I figure I'll let it dry for at least several hours more. I am seriously hoping my computer can recover... It was able to turn on like a little while ago, but soon after it shut off again. If worst comes to worst, I'll take it to OIT (Jao should know) and hopefully they can fix it. Its pretty likely that my laptop is already fried, or they'll have to replace something. We'll see.

So techincally this dynasty is on hold/deletion.

even if the computer is fried we might be able to save your hard drive and dynasty. We could get it out of the computer then buy you an external enclosure (like i have for my 400gig HDD) so if you get a new computer you wont lose anything.

still sucks though man cause I had to do a fresh install of Live so I lost that roster, and dynasty.

Well I dropped the laptop off at OIT Computer Repair today, so hopefully they can do something about it. I'll consider your idea though Jao if the worst should happen or something.

Well, I've got at least some good news. I managed to get a Internal HD Enclosure (thanks to Jao and pdub), and using that was able to have access to the stuff on my HD, including all the dynasty stuff. However, I am not quite sure yet on how to use the stuff on there, cause I dunno if the programs are still useable or whatnot.. they should be. I'll be experimenting.. though I'll be cautious because I don't wanna do anything ridiclious with my dad's work laptop or our old ass home computer.
If you guys see any sick and moderately expensive laptop deals, notify me. If not I'll probably get a custom desktop made. Also there is a chance that since I can't really do anything, pdub will be making recaps and playing games right now. But its looking up for now.

And... GO YAO.

ahh, they've adjusted it so all dynasties were put together....I wish they had done this a while ago so I could've continued my Live '05 dynasty with Boobcats....ahh well, I'll pop in every now & then & see how this one goes :wink:

Ok guys some progress here, I placed an order for my new Desktop yesterday... and I said I wasn't going to Dell this time... but somehow I still ended up ordering from them... had to take advantage of the discounts they give to university students.

Its a

Dell Dimension E520 with Pentium D Processor 820 w/ Duo Core
1 GB Dual Channel DDR2 SDRAM
256 nVidia Geforc 7300 LE TurboCache
160 GB Serial ATA Hard Drive

I know the graphics card is just average and I had to go down from 250 GB to just 160 GB Hard Drive, but at the moment you know, thats all I could bear to spend. Whether this will look any better or not I will have to see, also sucks a little that this doesn't have widescreen, which will take some getting used to as well.

What I plan to do is when I get the new desktop, I will either upgrade directly to Vista (our university is providing it for free), or I will make it a Duel thing that Pdub told me earlier, where I choose at bootup whether to load XP or Vista. After this I plan to finish the 20 some games I have on my External HD right now, then I'll make a decision whether to continue the dynasty or start a brand new one. Open to suggestions, just let em flow in.
