Game 4
Clippers | Kings | Final Score

ImageImage

To sum it up, the Clippers were on a roll and there was no way they could lose this game, and they didnt, finishing with a score of 109-90 over the Sacramento Kings.

Boris Diaw was the star of this game, scoring a game high 40 points and grabbing 16 rebounds. Mike Bibby also played well, he scored 36 points, but only dished out 4 assists. Bonzi Wells was held pretty well by Mike Miller, scoring only 5 points.

With this win the Clippers will advanced to face the winner of the Phoenix Suns - Houstons Rockets series.

Sorry everyone, really don't feel like writing much, the NBA Draft was really stupid and made my angry and Houston's GM is a total douchebag and needs to be beaten.

Nice sweep. Can't wait to see you and Phoenix in the semis. (I am implying that Phoenix will beat Houston.)

Whoa, all the conf. semifinals matchups are the same as in real life! Anyway, great dynasty, and congratulations on Brand DPOY and Dunleavy Coach of the Year.

Cant wait for you to score 300 on the Suns.

Game 1
Team Boxscores | Final Score

With the game tied at 119 between the Clippers and the Suns in their first game of the second round, the Clippers ready-ed to inbound the ball. Point guard Sam Cassell streaked inside the three-point line and beat his man Steve Nash to the ball. Upon recieving the inbound from Miller, Cassell drove in for the winning basket. He went up but in mid air he collided with Nash. The whistle blew and the clock stopped with 0.6 seconds left... Cassell walked to the line.

Cassell took the ball, took a deep breathe, and released... swoosh. This shot more or less guaranteed a first game win. His second shot was just as smooth as his first as he put his team up 121-119 with only 0.6 seconds left. The Suns called timeout, but it was to no avail as Nash tossed up an airball.

In addition to sinking the game winning free throws, Cassell also put in another 16 points for a total of 18. Center Boris Diaw also had strong numbers of 23 points and 11 rebounds, as well as 7 assists to lead the game. This good performance allowed Diaw to outshine teammate Corey Maggette's 35 points for Player of the Game.

On the other side of the ball the Phoenix Suns' Steve Nash exploded for 34 points, but only dished out 5 assists. Center Amare Stoudamire dominated this very close game with 22 point, 11 rebounds, as well as 4 blocks. Undersized Power Foward Shawn Marion also managed a double-double with 16 points and 10 rebounds.

This win extends the Clippers playoff winning streak to 5, and combined with their season this is their 21st straight win. The teams will have another game in the Staples Center before moving to Phoenix for games 4 and 5.

lol. yeah chicago almost upset the #1 seed, but NJ upset the Heat.. otherwise i would have had a real life playoff bracket...
also i agree that CP3 deserved ROTY due to his stats being better in like every catagory.. but then again, I like Deron, so i aint complaining :D

Thanks man, they may be good, but I got the element of buzzer-beaters on my side

dragon@4Q wrote:no surprise brand got dpy

I was hoping he'd make the first team.. but Jermaine O'Neal stole it from me... suprised though that Big Ben was Defensive 1st team whereas Shaq was only 2nd... Even more pissed that Corey led the league in scoring by 0.2 points and wasnt in any team.. perhaps 3rd team

tmac is a cross-eyed douche.

no way in hell. I'd love to. but he is just good enough for like 18-10 but not MVP status. He has his off nights too.

Game 2
Team Boxscores | Final Score

After a close win in Game 1 on Sam Cassell's game winning free throws, the Clippers looked to come into the game carrying the momentum. By the end of the 3rd quarter they were up 87-81 on the Suns (I always jump in at 4th quarter). The teams both scored 20 points in the last quarter, but the Clippers managed to keep their lead and win 107-101.

Boris Diaw again played well for the Clippers as center, he scored 22 points again, but led the game with 20 rebounds and was named Player of the Game. Diaw also played great defense, with his only block coming on his counterpart and former teammate Amare Stoudamire. Stoudamire did not have an impressive game. After a strong outing in Game 1 he managed to score only 12 points while grabbing only 9 rebounds.

The Suns had several stars of their own. Power Foward Shawn Marion scored 31 points while snagging 10 rebounds. Point Guard Steve Nash had 18 points and 13 assists. Their efforts however were outshined by Tthe Clippers Corey Maggette, who scored a total of 36 points and 9 rebounds.

In the end the Suns were resorted to intentionally fouling the Clippers, but the Clippers sank their shots while the Suns could do nothing with theirs. The series will move to Phoenix now where the Suns are going to try to scrape some wins now in front of their own crowd.
