The Hornets went to Dallas without their superstar,Chris Paul,to battle the Mavericks.Dirk Nowitzki who is the superstar of the Mavericks was with an injury too,he also had problems with his right ankle but he was still in the starting five.Despite the injured Paul,Jarret Jack did nice work on the PG position.New Orleans also played great defense and they outrebounded the Mavericks 48 to 33.NOH took the early lead after 26-24 first quarter and some great plays by David West,who was the go-to guy in this game.
For the first and the last time the Mavs took the lead in the 3rd when Dirk was on an amazing run despite his injury,he scored 21 points in the 3rd quarter.The Mavs in total scored 25 in this quarter.
The Hornets had no problem to close the game with 24 seconds left when Marcus Thornton hit his only three pointer in the game and scored the 91st point for New Orleans.
