Vince is a good choice but the only problem is that he is injury prone and you wouldnt want your star player injured half the season, Ohh wait this is NBA Live. lol
How about a celtic you could use Paul Pierce or maybe Walker.
Paul Pierce can do it all Shoot, drive, defend, rebounnd and pass when he wants to. With Walker you could Post up smaller forwards or take the big guys out to the arc. If you couldnt tell Im bit of a Celtics fan.

Vince can easily be a SF.

I don't think you should go for a star right now-maybe if your team starts losing. Go after something conservative like maybe Caron Butler or Deavan George.

I say this because your player averages will drop a little if you bring in a 25+ point scorer.

Well, I'll decide who to trade after the season is over...

I played 3 games, 1 yesterday and 2 today...

First game, I lost against the Warriors... All my players' stats, well, I don't remember them... I guess anybody did ok, not one season high in points from anyone except Tierre Brown, who scored a fantastic 5 points.

Second game, against the Nuggets... Wow, I really enjoyed this game, and I'll tell you why. Well, coming into the game I thought, "this is where I set career-highs in points for Ricky Davis or something, I will really blow this guys up"... And... I got fucked up, the Nuggets fighted real hard, they leaded the game till the final second, when I had LeBron with the ball... He entered the lane, got stripped on the driving, then Davis got the ball under the basket but was blocked... I had the ball, then, it was out-of-bounds... Davis with the ball, 1.2 seconds left, I was cursing aloud here in my room, then Davis (me, obviously, since I'm not locked into someone, lol) passed the ball to Boozer, and I was like, "What the fuck, of all people, CARLOS BOOZER, oh no!!!", and I shot real quickly, and he made the basket... YEAH... I put myself to cry later... I don't remember the stats of my players, I got some more useful things to memorize, lol.

Third game, agains the Soap In The Showers Team... Yeah, the Johnny Little Pants & Rough Dirty Elbow Karl... the Utah Jazz. I won this one, and I remember the stats coz it was the last game I played till now:
- Miles & Ilgauskas on the IL... got to give burn to others too
- Boozer: double-double as usual: 4 points and 10 boards
- Davis: 20 points, 7 boards, 2 steals
- Wagner: 15 points, career high 8 boards, 3 assists
- James: 27 points, 12 boards (11 defensive), 2 assists, 5 blocks... really outplayed Stockton, who actually played very well in posting 26 points, 6 assists and 2 steals
- Diop (starting center for now): 4 points, 6 boards, 2 blocks, 4 steals
- Nobody ever did anything else valuable, just those standing up and running to give some breath time to the starters...

I'm 12-6 now... (Y)

LeBron watch: 18.1 ppg, 7.1 rpg, 7.8 apg, 1.2 bpg, 0.8 spg, 4.2 tpg

Stay tuned for the scenes of the next chapter... (N) :D

Sun Jun 29, 2003 6:35 pm

Heh you had good games. :) The Nuggets are allways a problem too me too, because when I play with them I think that "heh, this is gona be a onesided victory", but denver is one of the hardest oponents. Ok, keep us posted!

Thanks bowyer, (Y)

Another update to keep you guys updated! :?

Played another game this afternoon, I guess I'm getting adicted to this franchise, it's really funny and the scores are low, which keeps me interested!!!

This time, I played the Clippers at home... And lost by like 12 points. No matter, the game was close till the last 1:30 minute... Odom was POG with 23 points, 4 boards, 4 assists and 4 blocks. Maggette played very well too, 18 points, 5 assists, 3 boards and 5 blocks, all on Wagner,. Brand also helped with 12 points and 10 boards.

For my team, Ricky Davis had 28 points and 7 boards, Wagner had 13 points, 3 boards and 4 assists, Boozer had 12 points and 11 boards, and LeBron had 16 points, 5 boards and 6 assists, plus career-highs of 2 blocks and 5 steals.

The Clippers are a difficult team to match. They are athelectic (spl, WTF), their wings player are hard to defend, their bench is good (Pike, Wilcox, Dooling, Wang - WTF is this player, he absolutely shots well from very deep... someone - ahem - Andrew should give a look on his ratings - plus many others)...

Well, I'm 12-7 now, good for 1st on the east, still...

See you on the other side, (Y)

What? More than 30 views since my last post and not even a single reply? :?

Tue Jul 01, 2003 6:43 pm

Heh, you got 5 steals with LeBron, I have allways foulproblem...
About Wang, if you take him in your team then you can't shoot 3-s normally, cause the defender allways jumps on the right time, but when CPU is playing then he is like Reggie Miller(in his good days) or even better!!!! I hate to play against the Clips, when he is on the court....

Tue Jul 01, 2003 7:11 pm

WTF is this player, he absolutely shots well from very deep... someone - ahem - Andrew should give a look on his ratings

I'll be going through everyone's ratings before I release the next roster, so perhaps I can do something about ZhiZhi. :)

Wed Jul 02, 2003 2:01 pm

Thanks Andrew, (Y)

I might play another game only on the end of the week... Exams week on uni... (N)

Wed Jul 02, 2003 7:34 pm

Heh, you got 5 steals with LeBron, I have allways foulproblem...

don't try to steal,he steals it himself...i had the same problem...

Thu Jul 03, 2003 7:13 am

Whenever DMiles comes back you oughta try playing him at point. He is a big mismatch to the others, especially off of the bench.

Thu Jul 03, 2003 3:25 pm

D Miles at point???? I think he could play that....but u should let him play his natural position...he still gets 11 pts on the bench (as the franchise states..)

Thu Jul 03, 2003 3:48 pm

Well I couldn't help but playing a game after I got home from a uni exam. Good for you folks, another update on the way, (Y)

Tonight I played the Orlando Magic. I still decided to keep Miles and Ilgauskas on the IL, I may keep them for some games too... Miles has missed 3 games, and Z, 6 games.

Well I lost to Orlando... WTF, they shoot 89% on the 1st quarter, 78% at halftime... I could try to contain them a bit, they ended up shooting like 57%.

McGrady was superb, with 37 points (leading scorer of the game), 2 boards and 5 assists. He shot like 17/22... It's impossible to guard him, it can really become frustrating too.

Giricek had 24 points, 7 boards and 2 assists, and Armstrong had 20 points and 6 assists in like 18 minutes. I got Jacque Vaughn in foul trouble, but I guess it wasn't a good thing to do... (N)

For my team, LeBron was the best player, with 36 points (season, and thus career-high), 4 boards and 5 assists. Ricky Davis had 27 points, 1 board and 1 assist. Kinda disappointing, I don't wanna one-dimensional players around. DaJuan Wagner had a pretty good game too, with 20 points, 3 assists and 3 steals. Nothing else from the others, with DeSagana Diop contributing with 3 points, 12 boards and 1 block, and Carlos Boozer appearing with 4 points, 6 boards and a block too.

I'm 12-8 now, good for 2nd on the East, behind Boston. Golden State & San Antonio are the two best Western teams.

About my Big 6, here are their stats so far:

Zydrunas Ilgauskas: 15.5 ppg, 9.3 rpg, 1.2 bpg
Carlos Boozer: 10.0 ppg, 8.9 rpg, 1.8 apg, 1.3 spg
Ricky Davis: 21.6 ppg, 5.7 rpg, 2.6 apg, 1.5 spg
DaJuan Wagner: 17.8 ppg, 3.1 rpg, 2.4 apg, 1.3 spg
LeBron James: 18.9 ppg, 7.0 rpg, 7.2 apg, 0.9 spg, 1.2 bpg, 4.3 tpg
Darius Miles: 13.4 ppg, 4.8 rpg, 1.8 apg, 0.9 bpg, 1.1 spg

No one else on the team besides those 6 players averages more than 6 ppg, 4 rpg or 4 apg.

Later, (Y)

Well, played another game this morning... Against the Hawks, won 100-95... I'm posting while it's still fresh in my mind...

For the Hawks, Jason Terry was the best player, with 31 points and 6 assists, he's very difficult to defend. Glenn Robinson had 12 points and 2 boards, and Abdur-Rahim got early in foul trouble, scoring just 7 points and 3 boards. The surprise, though, was Theo Ratliff, with 7 points, 6 boards, 7 assists, 6 steals and 2 blocks.

For my team, the Cavs, I still decided to let Miles and Ilgauskas on the Injured List. I will take them off for next game, though.

LeBron was POG, with 24 points, 6 boards, 6 assists and 2 blocks. Ricky Davis also had a solid game, with 25 points, 6 boards, 2 assists, and 2 steals. DaJuan Wagner had 13 points and 4 assists, and Carlos Boozer had 7 points and 19 boards, including 8 offensive.

I'm 13-8 now, that's all, (Y)

Fri Jul 04, 2003 6:57 am

McGrady was superb, with 37 points (leading scorer of the game), 2 boards and 5 assists. He shot like 17/22... It's impossible to guard him, it can really become frustrating too.

I was playing my Celtics franchise and held him to 11 pts-in the 1st half. In the second he dropped somethin like 26. :(

Fri Jul 04, 2003 7:15 am

tracy is the hardest player in live to stop!but it's easy to stop kg (held him on 9 points 8 rebs and 6 asts!)

Sat Jul 05, 2003 12:25 am

I was pretty proud of the time i held T-Mac to 14 pnts :)

Sat Jul 05, 2003 3:42 pm

Alright, time for another update, (Y)

I played against the Portland Trail Blazers, lost, 113-110, in a very entertaining game.

Damon Stoudamire was their best player and POG, with 36 points (5-8 3pt), 10 assists, 3 steals and 7 turnovers. He played huge in the final minute, crossovering DaJuan Wagner and hitting a 3, then stealing the ball off a bad Wagner pass and scoring in the layup, then, with the game tied and 3 seconds left, scoring a 3 pointer over LeBron and Ricky's outstrechted arms. DAMN!

Derek Anderson had 17 points and 5 boards, Scottie Pippen had 12 points and 3 assists, while their big-name player, Rasheed Wallace, had 7 points, 8 boards and 2 blocks. I can't figure out a way to make PFs and Cs score more in this game, by calling their plays.

For my team, I had 3 guys with big games: LeBron, Davis and Z, comin' back from the IL. Miles, though, is still there, along with Diop and Palacio.

LeBron had 24 points, 7 boards, 16 assists (career high), 2 blocks and a steal. Ricky Davis had 34 points, 5 boards and 4 assists, while Zydrunas Ilgauskas had 16 points, 8 boards, 2 assists and 3 steals.

DaJuan Wagner had a fair good game, with 10 points, 6 boards, 4 assists, but he had 8 turnovers, with like 3 or 4 of them in the final 1:30. I'm very disapointed about him. Boozer had 8 points and 7 boards, and nobody on the bench contributed more than their usual 4-6 points, 2-3 boards, 1-2 assists per player, (N)

I'm 13-9 now. Good for 2nd on the East behind Boston.

Got Houston next, their are like 10-1 at home, while I'm 5-5 at home,

Mon Jul 07, 2003 11:11 am

Well, a new update. Played 3 games between yesterday and today, 2 wins and a loss.

The first game, I don't remember well, I lost to somebody, lol.

The second game, the All-Star game. My team, the East, won, in a thriller. McGrady was MVP with 18 points, 4 boards and 3 assists. Iverson, Pierce, Kidd and Walker played real well too. My lone All-Star was Ilgauskas. LeBron, averaging nearly 20 ppg, 7 rpg and 8 apg, didn't get selected.

The third game was against the Nets. I won by like 8 points. The eargely (spl) antecipated matchup, Kidd vs Bron Bron, was the show of the night. Jason Kidd had 40 points, 3 boards, 7 assists and 2 steals, while Bron had 37 points, 4 boards, 16 assists, a steal and a block.

DaJuan Wagner had 21 points, 3 boards and 4 assists, plus 3 steals, Carlos Boozer had 10 points, 13 boards, 1 block, 2 assists, and Darius Miles (comin' back from the IL) had 17 points, 5 boards and 2 steals.

I'm 14-10 now, later, (Y)

Tue Jul 08, 2003 4:19 am

how's Jumaine Jones filling out now?
when i was doing my cavs season JJ was great at catch and shoot player for me , also hit his share of 3's.

Tue Jul 08, 2003 4:09 pm

Alright, the 10:1 views/post ratio is actually more than that... And nobody posts... Well, I guess you guys enjoy readin' it, so I'll keep on doin' the updates.

Played another game this evening, against Minnesota this time, won, (Y).

For Minnesota, Hudson had a HUGE game with 15 points and 20 (!) assists... Garnett had 26 points, 7 boards and 5 assists, and Wally World had 20-something too.

For my team, the incredible Cleveland Cavaliers, LeBron was POG again, with 31 points, 5 boards and 6 assists, plus a block. He's averaging 20.3 ppg, 6.5 rpg, 7.9 apg, 1.0 spg, 1.3 bpg, 4.1 tpg now.

Ricky Davis had 12 points, 2 boards and 4 assists, Wagner had 11 points, 5 boards and 6 assists, Boozer had 14 points and 7 boards plus 2 blocks, and Ilgauskas had 24 points, 6 boards, 3 assists, and 2 steals, and a block.

I'm 15-10 or 15-11 now, can't remember exactly, still I'm good enough for 1st in the East, 4th overall.

Later, (Y)
