Nets trade Trenton Hassell to New York for Jerome James
The New Jersey Nets today traded recently acquired swingman, Trenton Hassell, to the New York Knicks for Center Jerome James. In a move trying to clear salary cap space, the nets have picked up Jerome James' $4.55M/1yr contract in exchange for Trenton Hassell's $4.5M/6yr deal. This is yet another move that will have Knicks fans scratching their head at what Isiah Thomas is doing.

Are you a quarter of the way or halfway through your season(82gms or 58 gm season) I'd love to compute your Proficiency stats mattj! It's awesome that you're playing 2005 as there was quite a bit of a lull on this board right when '06 came out.

actually, playing 29 game seasons - so about 60% thru 
And i never got around to getting '06 - am waiting on '07 now, so am gunna play this dynasty thru till then

Bucks end New Jersey's Winning Streak
For the second time this season the Nets have had their winning streak ended at 3. This time at the hands of the Milwaukee Bucks, 124-114. Jason Kidd was the man for New Jersey tonight with 36 points, 11 assists and 7 steals. Ricky Davis had 23 points, while Eddie Griffin contributed 16 points and 10 rebounds. Best for the Bucks was australian rookie center Andrew Bogut with 30 points, 16 rebounds and 3 blocks. Michael Redd (28) and Bobby Simmons (27) were also good for the Bucks. The game got within 3 points with 2 minutes to go thanks to some Ricky Davis heroics in the last quarter, but the nets tired, and the bucks hit several shots in a row to pull away. The nets move to 8-10 for the season.
