With Jason Terry back in the lineup the Hawks were hoping to get on the winning track but yet again it wasnt to be. This was as close as it gets tho playing a good game not forcing anything inside just finding the open man i stayed close though out the game with star players like Sweetney and Terry playing well. This game with Terry i made him the second or third option on offence getting everyone involved and it really worked Terry did only shot 42% but thats a big improvment on the past three games. For the Sixers Iverson was a hot shot not only with his scoring but his passing too getting his team the ball at the right time, Kenny Thomas was also a force inside but the Hawks stayed strong and with 30 seconds had the lead by 2 till McKie hit a huge 3 with 10 to go in the game, after the time out i set a pick and roll top of the key with Terry and Przybilla and took a long two with Jason Terry which hit front rim straight to Bob Sura who missed a quick shot at the buzzer to give the Hawks there 3rd straight loss.

Final score = 99 - 98 SIXERS

Sixers - Iverson ~ 26 points 9 assists 4 steals
Robinson ~ 21 points 11 rebounds
Thomas ~ 20 points 11 rebounds

Hawks - Terry ~ 18 points 7 assists
Sweetney ~ 16 points 11 rebounds
Sura ~ 13 points 8 assists 7 rebounds
Diaw ~ 17 points off the bench

Sweetney seems to be playing better the last couple of games. Shame about the Sixers game.

nice job. i like ur plan. ur team is nice. sweetney seems to be a nice fit.. i think another rookie in ur five (such as hayes, pietrus or even bosh) would be great. you would have a nice lineup then. great job. ive been reading from the start :D

Thanks mate..

Sweetneys a great player or he will be , he's a good rebounder and can give you points inside too.
Iam trying not to go after any big stars just yet i want it to be as hard to win as it can be. in all my other dynastys its just been to easy having a great team that you know that you can win every game just wasnt fun anymore with the Hawks i dont really have one single player thats the star i just run the clock and whoevers open gets the shot doing this has brought out the best in the likes Crawford , Sura , Henderson and Diaw all players that usally would be the first to be traded.
Thanks for reading and i hope you all enjoy the rest of the season :D

Great game for the Hawks getting the job done in Memphis with Jason Terry seems like he's back to full form with a 10 of 19 night while rookie Mike Sweetney had 16 points and 18 rebounds in this one but the player that made all the differents was Chris Crawford putting up 22 points 11 rebounds hitting 2 3's in the last minute to seal the win. The game looked to be the Grizzlies with 3 mins to go but poor finishing inside and a few rushed shots gave the game to Atlanta , James Posey was on fire hitting 12 of 13 fg's for 26 points while Jason Williams dished out 13 assists to go along with his 13 points. great game to play and watch Hawks take it.

Final score = 95 - 90 HAWKS

Hawks - Terry ~ 24 points 10 assists
Sweetney ~ 16 points 18 rebounds

This was by far the easiest game ive had to play with the Hawks the Jazz were cold and played no "D" at all giving all the Hawks players easy layups and best of all allowing Jason Terry to rap up a tripble double!!
Terry had a bad shooting night but made up for it by filling the stat box Sweetney also rocked the place with 17 rebounds as the Hawks went on to win.

A tough game on the road but a game that the hawks came out of with a huge upset behind a season high 32 from Chris Crawford, The Bucks got there share of points from Joe Smith and Michael Redd but not enough for the red hot Hawks who are now on a 2 game winning streak not much but its a start...lol

10 game progress report

Just thought id let everyone know how the teams doing player by player.

Image 4 - 6

Image JOEL PRZYBILLA

8.3 ppg 11.9 rpg 3.1 bpg 51%fg 31 mpg

Joel's the starting center on this team and is a big help on defence , one of the most underated players in the game. Not much of a scorer but helps the team in other ways.

Image MIKE SWEETNEY

10.4 ppg 9.3 rpg 1.5 bpg 54%fg 24 mpg

Since coming from New York Mike's been a rock for my Atlanta Dynasty i knew what i was getting when i traded for him and in the 6 games he's played he has been great.

Image CHRIS CRAWFORD

14 ppg 5.4 rpg 40%fg 33mpg

Chris is a hidden talent on this team with his 3point shooting and big dunks he's a match for anyone.

Image BOB SURA

11.8 ppg 5 rpg 4.8 apg 41%fg 37 mpg

Sura can do it all rebound shoot and pass a player you have to have out on the floor.

Image JASON TERRY

20.1 ppg 7.6 apg 2.2 spg 39.2 mpg 34%fg

Jason's the best player on the team by far and though his shooting has been off he has been able to get his teammates the ball.

Image BORIS DIAW

6.6 ppg 40%fg 40%3fg 17 mpg

When Boris was drafted they said he would be the next Pippen sadly ive not seen any of that yet tho he is one hell of a shooter.

Image WESLEY PERSON

4.8 ppg 55%fg 58%3fg 12.2 mpg

Wesley doesnt get alot of playing time that he should but when he does i know i can count on him for a couple of 3'ss

Image ALAN HENDERSON

4.8 ppg 3.5 rpg 46%fg 13 mpg

Like Person he should get more minute coz when he's out there he plays well but with Sweetney playing pf and Crawford stealing afew at pf too there not much left for Henderson.

Image TRAVIS HANSEN

1.8 ppg 61%fg 7 mpg

He might look like Eminem but Hansen can play , with his size and strengh at sg he has the power to post + he can jump with the best of them.. abit like a young Bobby Sura.

Image ZELJKO REBRACA

3.4 ppg 2.8 rpg 1.2 bpg 68%fg 11mpg

Rebraca can come up with big plays on offence and defence tho i dont seem to have room for him in my rotation but iam sure i have a place for him somewhere.

Image JACQUE VAUGHN

1 ppg 1 apg 44%fg 6.9 mpg

Vaughn's numbers dont really show his value as ive only just started giving him some real playing time.

Image JASON COLLIER

2.6 ppg 2.9 rpg 50%fg 8.3 mpg

Little used but is an ok center on defence , last in the roation but could see him been trade bait.

Image MICHAEL BRADLEY

2 ppg 2 rpg 4 mpg

Bradleys only played in one game so far just doesnt fit int the style of play , could also see him been trade bait down the line.

Image MAMADOU N'DIAYE

N/A

Been on the injury list since the start of the season.

Mon Apr 19, 2004 10:20 am

Nice, im really enjoying this dynasty, you keeping it "pure".

I reckon you should gice N'Diaye some time out there, he aint that bad

Mon Apr 19, 2004 6:39 pm

Yeah, you can rely on Mamadou N'Diaye, he's really better than I expected when I got him from a Pistons trade. He can grab some good rebounds, and scored a bunch of points too. He worths it as a third center or a 11th - 12th man

A great victory, especially given you hadn't played in a week. I also sometimes struggle a little when I haven't played for a while, at least for the first few minutes. Nice effort from the five players you mentioned. Sweetney continues to be very solid.

Mon Apr 26, 2004 1:48 am

it was tough getting back into the flow of the game but i soon adjusted and had a great stat night.
Ive been thinking of strengthening my team with a trade or something, i have to many sg's with Sura , Hansen , Diaw , Person and even Terry and not to pf's so either Person , Hansen or even both will be gone real soon.

The game got off to a good start as Kenyon Martin picked up to fouls in the first minute!! but the strong Nets didnt let that bother them with Jason Kidd dishing 7 assists in the first and Richard Jefferson hitting for 12. it was a close game till halftime with Diaw for the Hawks continuing his great play off the bench with 10 while Mike Sweetney was on his way to one of his best games of the year. in the 4th the Nets started to pull away withMartin back in the game and he couldnt miss having 16 4th quarter points and 7 rebounds to make up the time he missed, still with 2 minutes to go the Nets were only up by 5. i got it down to 2 with 30seconds to play but missed a driving layup with Chris Crawford (imo it should of been a foul!!)

In the first of back to back games with the Cavs i got the first punch in with a great game from Mike Sweetney in his best game of the season making him up the top of the list for Rookie of the month, i went down early by ten only scoring 12 in the 1st so i thought it would be a long night but from the second i full court pressed them and ran them off the court powered by Chris Crawfords 26 game high points mostly off fast breaks. LeBron James had a good 1st half but lost his mo jo by the second only scoring 2 second half points finishing with 16 points. The Hawks have finally started clicking as a team.

HAWKS PULL OFF BIG TRADE TODAY

Today i decided to pull the trigger on a trade i was thinking about.

HAWKS TRADE

ImageImage

SUNS TRADE

ImageImage

Wesley Person and Travis Hanson for Casey Jacobsen and Zarko Cabarkapa

Recap...

The two players i had in mind for trading for were Eric Williams of the Cavs and Zarko Cabarkapa of the Suns first choice been Williams but the Cavs didnt want what i had to offer so i had to move on to Cabarkapa which i think i got a good deal in the long run however my overall team rating has dropped i have more options with Zarko. He's big and fast with a three point shot and imo can the 3,4 and 5 spots for me and should cause some match up problems.

Keep you all posted

Back to back with the Cavs but Jason Terry's Hawks would have the game in hand playing there first game with Zarko Cabarkapa but he would have a poor game off the bench but show signs of talent for the future. The Cavs have become my wipping boys as my offence just flows right when i play them Terry been the high man with an all round game but Przybilla would also put up a big game with 18 points 12 rebounds 4 blocks. Easy game Hawks take it.

The high flying Hawks rolled into Miami with there heads high as the .500 Hawks were making it up the standings and they were delt a blessing as Lamar Odom would go down with an injury in the 1st quarter and not return However the Hawks offence went cold with hot players like Terry, Diaw and Mike Sweetney missing shot after shot, at the half Crawford was the only Hawk with more than 10 points. Eddie Jones was the hot man for the Heat turning in 26 game points but Zarko started to play just the way i wanted him to. Playing the bulk of his 22 minutes at Center he took outside shots over Grant taking him away from the basket and then driving on players like Woods and Jerome Beasley finishing with 17 points 6 rebounds.

TRADE TORMENT

I have been looking at trades again and i know i shouldnt coz i really want to keep my Dynasty "pure" and not pull off to many trades but i was just looking and i found that if i traded Jason Terry , Collier and Rebraca to the Celtics i could get Ricky Davis and either Chris Mihm or Jumaine Jones !!

What should i do?
Do i trade?
Do i stick with what ive got?
Or do i risk making my dynasty boring to play?

HELP NEEDED!!!

Mon May 03, 2004 12:43 am

I felt that i was making to many trades and my dynasty was starting to get unrealistic and easy to win, overall just boring. So ive started again with the 03-04 roster , simmed back upto the game i was at and will carry on from here.

I forgot how hard it is to play without a "real" power forward in the starting lineup but Rasheed Wallace kindly reminded me with 34 points and 13 rebounds as the Hawks were out matched in every position. However the Hawks did have one of the best 3 point shooting roster hitting 13 3's for the game. At the half i was down by 10... going into the 4th i was up by 9 and it was all down to Bob Sura who hit 6 3's four in the 3rd quarter!! both Ben and Rasheed Wallace did there best to shut down the Hawks but there outside game was on and no one was stopping them today.

I understand completely. I've often lost interest in Franchises (I've only been playing the one Dynasty so far) because I've made too many deals. Since you've simulated up to the same point, how does your simulated record compare to the record in your previous game?

They didnt compare very well at all really. The players just didnt click the same way as before so ive decided to call it a day with the Hawks. Sura couldnt rebound like he use to Przybilla & Crawford were just flat out rubbish compared to there past numbers.
