For me it is not that important in which section this topic runs. The Admins have to decide on that.

I first thought i could keep this Dynasty up with live 06, but this is almost impossible when you get started to one of the modern Games. Surely live 06 still have some advantages because of its simpleness and easy modding and editing, but its just more fun to play one of the recent games.

I also did not want to start a new thing. So i tried to convert this Dynasty to the 2K11 format. The first season on 2k11 may be a kind of experiement because i dont know yet how the implemented Rosters work in 2k11. I hope it wont turn up side down the whole league. It will be a lot easier for me when the first retro Patches get released by the great Modders of this community. Without them i would have never started this Dynasty.

However as far as i tested this on NBA 2k11 it worked fine for me and i think it will be a lot of fun in a new look.

I just looked up my schedule for the 1992/93 season. 2k11 uses the schedule from the recent season that means some Highlights already in the first 5 Games.

1 CHI @ SEA > against Payton and Kemp
2 DET @ CHI ! i am already burning for this one

3 POR @ CHI > Thorpe , Hawkins and Terry Porter
4 NY @ CHI > Ewing Starks and Oakley

5 CHI @ BOS > Larry Bird adds another season, the 91/92 was a big letdown for him

i am going to post the new Rosters for each team in the next few days.

Do you mean Horry?

He was one of the rare good Picks the Clippers ever had (fictional)

Do you think he should wear No 5 or Jersey No 25 ?

Good Luck,

at the moment your are No 7 in the Rotation. We will see how the NLSClers will compete, you are all around a 70 ovr rating. Thats not bad but not to good. I think all ratings are a bit higher than the original team ratings.

It will be a kind of experiment anyway

I will give you more information when i am done with the teams.

1992/93 Rosters

Atlanta Hawks:

Image

1992 12th East
One of the most disappointing teams in the 91/92 season. A surely Playoff candidate only p12 in the East, this performence was just terrible. The Hawks dropped 6 positions down in the Eastern Conference.
Forecast: > not sure, the team didnt change at all , maybe they can get togther once again this year and make the Playoffs 7-10th in the East

Boston Celtics:

Image

1992 9th East
Talking about letdowns this season dont forget the Celtics. In 1991 they were the 2nd seed in the East behind the Bulls. Larry Bird was injured a long time during January and February. I hope he will come back and play another year on that level he had in his best years.
Forecast: They have to reach the Playoffs > 4-6th in the East

Charlotte Bobcats:

Image

1992 13th East
The Bobcats were lucky to get Alonzo Mourning as the no 3 overall Pick. Mourning a defensive specialist but also a very decent inside scorer will emphasize the Bobcats rows in many ways.
Forecast: > 10-15th East

Chicago Bulls - Custom Team

Image

1992: 1st East eliminated by the Pistons in the C semifinals
Forecast: NBA Champion 1993!

Cleveland Cavaliers

Image

1992: 7th East
The Cavs couldnt do a .500 record last year. 28 wins were still enough to do p7 in the East. In the playoffs they stumbled over the surprising team from New Jersey.
Forecast: > 5-8th East

Dallas Mavericks:

Image

1992 15th West

The Mavs made a big deal drafting the 1st overall Pick Shaquille O'Neal. The last season was a huge disappointment they finished as the worst team in the NBA with a percentage of only .190 wins. They traded Rookie of the Month Donald Hodge to the Celtics in exchange for Rick Fox.
Forecast: it will be hard to resist against the strong teams in the Western Conference, maybe they can climb some stairs in the ranking but they wont be able to reach the Playoffs. ~ pos 9-12 in the West

Denver Nuggets

Image

1992: 10th West
The Nuggets had a nice record of 29-29, but they still have the problem playing in the West. In the East that would have been a postseason spot. Nevertheless they will try it once again this year and maybe they do it. :applaud:
Forecast: > 8th-10th West

Detroit Pistons

Image

1992: 5th East
The Pistons played an up-and-down regular season. The Playoffs went also chequered for them. In the first round they beat the favoured Pacers in a 5 Game series with 3:2. Then in the Conference Semifinals they made the big blow kicking out the acting NBA Champion, the Chicago Bulls... nothing more to say... :cussing:
Everyone thought that they would make their way straight to the Finals, but then.... they were swept by the Nets
Forecast: > this team is unpredictable, i think they struggle in the reg season but win in the post season 5th-8th East

Golden State Warriors

Image

1992: 8th West
The young team still grows together, nice to see they didnt fall appart after the 91/92 season. Maybe they are ready to rock the West this year.
Forecast: > surely Playoff candidate 5th-8th West

Houston Rockets

Image

1992: 2nd West > NBA Champion !
Forecast: 1st-4th West > C Finals

Indiana Pacers

Image

1992: 4th East
The dominating team until the All Star game. They led the league even against the strong western teams. Then there was a kind of break in their game. They lost the no. 1 seed to the Chicago Bulls just in last week of April. The Playoffs were also a desater for Millers` Pacers, loosing against the Pistons with 2:3.
Forecast: Rookie of the year Dale Davis and Reggie Miller are the keyplayers in the Pacers lineup, if they stay healthy and play on the same level like last season they will be one of the top teams in the East. 1st-6th East.

Los Angeles Clippers

Image

1992: 9th West
The Clippers had a solid year but not spectacular. They once again missed the Playoffs with a deficit to the Warriors of 4 Games. Its an every year struggle for them. Trading their no. 14 Pick Robert Horry to the Bulls for Scott Williams is very debatable.
Forecast: > 9th-12th West

Los Angeles Lakers

Image

1992: 3rd West
Forecast: > 1st -4th West maybe Finals

Miami Heat

Image

1992: 3rd East because they won their Division
The Miami Heat lost their Star Player Glen Rice to the 76ers, despite that they finished way better than the opponent from Philadelphia. One reason for that was the young talent Steve Smith. Smith showed tremendous performances in the series against New York and New Jersey. Finally the Heat could not stop the Nets and they ended in the Conference Semifinals.
To the 1992/93 season the Heat traded Hersey Hawkins and Kenneth Cowell (a 2nd round pick) to the Blazers in exchange for Clifford Robinson. I think this will be one of the Hot teams this season, The Miami Heat
Forecast: > 2nd-5th seed in the East

Milwaukee Bucks

Image

1992: 8th East
The Bucks one of the "older" teams in the league competed very well in 1992 making the Playoffs as no. 8 seed. They lost in a 4 game series against the Chicago Bulls. Moses Malone adds another year to his great career, we will see if the Bucks can do the Playoffs one more time in this constellation.
Forecast: > 8-12th East

Minnesota Timberwolves:

Image

1992 14th West
Compared with the Raptors the Wolves changed their team on some Positions. The Sonics Center Benoit Benjamin is going to start for the Twolves this year. With Doug Christie they have a promising Point Guard and also their bench doesnt look bad at all. But its still not enough for the tough West.
Forecast: > 12-15th West

New Jersey Nets

Image

1992: Eastern Conference Champion
The most surprising team 1991/92. They made their way from nothing right to the NBA Finals. They even swept away the 2 time NBA Champion from Detroit in a 3:0 series. They also had the chance to win the 1992 NBA Championship, in a very close series they lost to the Rockets just in the Final Game.
Forecast: > we will see if they can repeat this extraordinary year 2nd - 8th East

New Orleans Hornets

Image

1992 12th West
The team that moved from Charlotte to New Orleans had to struggle in the last year. The injury of their No 1 Pick Larry Johnson prevented the Hornets to succeed. Larry Johnson could only play some games in November and April. Despite that he was elected to the Rookie of the Month in April scoring big numbers in points and rebounds.
Forecast: this is a team that could surprise us this season. Maybe they can make the 8th seed in the west.

New York Knicks

Image

1992: 6th East
I am a little concerned about the Knicks. They have the stars they have the players to do great deeds, but they didnt. To the 92/93 season they traded Anthony Mason for scoring Forward Reggie Williams. I hope this will give the Knicks a push and bring them to the C Finals against the Bulls
Forecast: > 4th-8th East

Orlando Magic:

Image

1992 14th East
The young Magic team was not able to compete in the last season, but the Eastern Conference is still full of sursprises. This makes it really hard to give any predictions on the results of a team. Maybe with some luck and a strong Laettner the Magic can battle for the Playoffs.
Forecast: > 8-12th East

Philadelphia 76ers:

Image

1992 11th East
There is the next big disappointing team of the previous season. The 76ers also dropped 6 spots down from p5 to p11 in the Eastern Conference. A result of that; Charles Barkley demanded a trade to a new team.
We will see how the rebuilding process will effect the 76ers this year.
Forecast: > 10-15th East

Phoenix Suns

Image

1992: 1st West, best overall record

Forecast: > 1st-3rd West

Portland Trailblazers

Image

1992: 7th West

The Blazers led the league during February and March, but then they missed to win the crucial games in April. A result of that was seed 7 in the West which meant competing with the Houston Rockets in Round 1 of the Playofs. That series ended 1:3 and the Trailblazers have to try one more time. The offseason had another big letdown for them, they lost their topscorer and longtime face of the franchise Clyde Drexler to the Rockets. Of all teams the Rockets!; no one understood this in Portland, however we will see if Otis Thorpe can lead the team like Drexler did.
Forecast: > 3rd-5th West

San Antonio Spurs

Image

1992: 4th West
Forecast: > 5th-8th West

Sacramento Kings:

Image

1992 11th West

The Kings improved a bit and climbed 2 positions up in the West. In the 1992 Draft they received Matt Geiger, still not sure if this is hot or not.
Forecast: > 12th-15th in the West

Seattle Supersonics

Image

1992: 6th West
Seattle Supersonics always a team with highlights in their game. The 1992 post season turned out disappointing for them. Swept by the Jazz in the first round.
Forecast: > 4th-8th West

Toronto Raptors:

Image

1992 15th East
The Raptors didnt change their team on most Positions. In the draft they received Jimmy Jackson a fast athletic Guard. So they trust once more on their All Star Roy Tarpley on the Center position. We will see if it was a fault to prefer Jackson more than Alonzo Mourning who was the No 2 overall Pick for most experts.
Forecast: Its about injuries and staying healthy, maybe they finish around position 12. 12-15th in the East

Utah Jazz

Image

1992: 5th West

Forecast: > 1st-4th West > Western Conference Champion

Vancouver Grizzlies:

Image

1992 13th West
In the last years expansion Draft they had some big names on their side like Kevin McHale and Sam Perkins, but they couldnt convert. Maybe Latrell Sprewell will bring some Highlight Scenes to the Grizzlies Game and make them a little more competitive.
Forecast: > 12-15th West

Washington Bullets:

Image

1992 10th East
The Bullets just stayed on their 10th position from the last year. They were still no .500 team and only had 27 wins out of 58 games. Ok its still better than the 90/91 season, there they got 30 out of 82 games
Forecast: > 12-15th East

Including you i have 7 NLSClers, i accept 1-2 more for the 1992 season.

The other ones will be in the 1993 Draft Class competing with Penny Hardaway, Chris Webber, Sam Cassel, Nick Van Exel, Shawn Bradley.... damn the 1993 is an awesome Draft Class

Preseason Game against Portland.

The Chicago Bulls and the Portland Trailblazers met to a preseason duel in Chicago. Despite the previous season was a desaster for both teams they are looking optimistic to the future.
Portland lost their superstar and topscorer Clyde Drexler, we will see how the new team around Hawkins and Thorpe compensates that.

Chicago won this Preseason Game with 112:107.

Both teams will meet again early in the regular season on Nov 1st 1992.

Topscorer:

CHI > Michael Jordan 36pts
POR > Hersey Hawkins 27pts

Here are some Highlights from the Game:

I should sent this one to Otis Thorpe

Jordan was dunk-tastic. And that 360 alley-oop is quite something.

This should be moved to the association section sometime too.

Thanks, when Jordan did the 360 alley-oop i jumped out of my seat.

Yes i am considering moving this to the association section because its 95% NBA2k11 now.

The question is : Do they like Zee Otoo ?

megarover wrote:It looks like there wont be anymore games from Horace Grant looking like 18 points 12 rebound and 8 blocks :D

Yes thats true, i dont worry about rebounding, in this preseason game HG had 13reb about 10pts and i think 2 blocks. I already moved block ability sliders down to 1 in NBA06 but players like Mutombo or Garnett still did like 8bpg. Thats over now (Y)

This season will put players like Pippen, Armstrong and of course the bench more into focus. Michael Jordan will grab more than 1-2rpg and he will compete for the season MVP this time i am sure of that.
I am also interested about which role Horry will play in this roster. I hope the line up is not to small, in nba06 it didnt matter but in 2k11 it may be a problem.

Well I personally think those Mavericks are a better team than the Clippers. Shaq, Harper and Fox with a bench led by our very own Lewis; I feel like they have a shot.
Oh yeah I sent my NLSC. It is a bit different than most but I hope I end up on the Knicks.
