Nash,Stoudemire and D'Antoni are reunited again

Suns depart ways with Nash

There is no doubt that Steve Nash is one of the best player in the league but if you’re a team with the worst record you know you got to make a move. The Phoenix Suns decided to trade Nash to the New York Knicks for Kelenna Azubuike, Raymond Felton and a first round pick.

Currently both teams are below .500 records, the Knicks have (9-14) while the Suns have (4-17). Nash is averaging 17.3 PPG and 8.5 APG for the Suns, Felton and Azubuike combined for 18.6 PPG and 11.2 APG for the Knicks.

Phoenix got two quality players and a future first round pick, if they are lucky they might get a lottery pick and a possible top 3 pick. The Suns are definitely going on a rebuilding process after this.
Grade: B+

The Knicks got a point guard that can run D’Antoni’s system; Nash can create a lot of easy shots for his teammate and bring that leadership the downside though is he is an aging player and might not stay in league for long. But expect Danilo Gallinari and Amare Stoudemire numbers to go up.
Grade: B

As Lamrock and Chuck says...turrible

Azubuike isn't that much of a quality player and is basically in a duplicated role with J-Rich. Felton is nowhere a replacement for Nash and the Knicks pick might not even be a lottery pick with Nash-Gallo-Amare and the D'Antoni offense in New York

In my opinion, Grade for Phoenix is D while grade for New York is A

I'm not that good with grading trades, but in my association both Felton and Azubuike are doing great in my opinion. Also to note on Nash first game with the Knicks he got injured and will be out for 2-4 weeks.

Na not bashing your grading, just putting my two cents in
and well, frankly speaking injuries that happen after the trade doesn't make the trade any better/worse when it's done cause they happen.

unless you are trading for Greg Oden and his knees

No chance of you swapping Wilson Chandler for Azuibuike in the deal? That would make for a better swap IMHO

Although I think everybody needs to remember this is 2k & Nash usually retires after this year or next season.

Teague is gonna be a nice player if he gets a chance. I think the Pacers' offer is alright provided it is not going to be a lottery pick. Obviously Portland's deal is a bit of a stretch though

I wouldn't worry about changing it. Knicks might only get one year with Nash before he retires anyways. It's good for them not to have their 1st Rounder anyways. At least you validated it with Suns stinking up the ship (Y)

What a crazy trade for the Suns. The Knicks might very well make the playoffs after getting him.

Well the Pacers are currently 10th in the East so I might accept that.

The first game was against the defending champs LA Lakers; the Lakers are playing without Kobe Bryant due to injury. The Ballers start things off with their hot shooting as they went on to upset the defending champs 107-88. Wesley Matthews scored 22 points while Adam Morrison added 19 points. Pau Gasol led all scorers with 30 points but it wasn’t enough for his team to win. The Lakers are now on a three game losing streak.

Next game was against the surprise in the East the Philadelphia 76ers; the 76ers now hold the best record in the Eastern Conference. The Ballers were downed big entering the second half but with their great defense they made a huge run, holding the 76ers to only 38 points in the second half on their way to another upset win. Brook Lopez had a double double against his former team.

Third game was against the Washington Wizards, the Ballers went careless on this one as the Wizards rally from a 13 point deficit to win the game. Yi Jianlian struggle the whole game against his former team and finish with only 15 points. Andray Blatche had a double double with 14 points and 10 rebounds.

Last game was against the struggling Toronto Raptors, but the Raptors started great and never looked back as they win this game easily. Rookie Ed Davis had 26 points and 14 rebounds to lead his team. The Raptors ended their 11 games losing streak.

The Brooklyn Ballers need to play consistently the whole game, with their last two loss they were outscored in the second half.

Coach changes

Triano out in Toronto
Raptors fire Jay Triano and hires unknown coach Shannon Wheeler. The Toronto Raptors are currently in the bottom of standings with 6-21 record. Triano reportedly was not in good terms with the Raptors GM after trading Jose Calderon, the Raptors are really in a bad shape after losing Chris Bosh in the summer and Andrea Bargnani due to injury.

Flip might not finish the season
Flip Saunders coaching days is numbered said by a reliable source. Reports said that he is not in good terms with Gilbert Arenas and Andray Blatche, the two said players are currently in trade rumors. Maybe one of those three names will not be on the team before the season ends.

Injuries

Love out
Kevin Love of the Minnesota Timberwolves will be out for 4-6 weeks due to torn meniscus. Love currently average 17.3 PPG and 10.9 RPG this season.

Injury bug bites the Bulls
The Chicago Bulls are hammered by key injuries, first rookie Ben Uzoh will be out for the season due to torn MCL, next is star forward Carlos Boozer who will be out for 6-8 weeks due to a broken foot and finally Taj Gibson will be out for 4-6 weeks with broken ankle.

Around the League

Kobe to return against the Heat
Kobe Bryant is set to return on Christmas against the Miami Heat, hopefully this will change the Lakers current situation who is now on a 6 games losing streak.

The other team in LA
While the Lakers are struggling the Clippers are on the rise, they now have a 6 games winning streak and currently third in the Western Conference with a 19-9 record. Eric Gordon and Chris Kaman are both playing great while the Blake Griffin is pretty consistent averaging double double, the biggest surprise is Terrence Williams who is an early candidate for Most Improve Player award.
