The Orlando Magic lost to the Chicago Bulls at home with a 11 point margin. Despite the Magic won the season series 2:1 they could not keep up with Chicago this time.
Too many turnovers and missed shots especially in the second half sealed the loss for Orlando. Courtney Lee had a season high with 19 points, Dwight Howard scored his 62nd season double double.
With this loss the Magic are 4 Games behind the Miami Heat and most likely to come in on 2nd place in the Southeast Division. The Heat just won 17 straight and are in a comfortable lead with 50-15 wins.

Orlando strike back against "Nashless" Suns.
The Phoenix Suns only a shadow of the past with a terrible performance at Amway Center. Shooting only 28% at the half and scoring only 32 points. In the second half Jamal Crawford could reduce the margin a bit, but the Game was still far away to be a close one.
Dwight Howard dominated throughout 3 quarters, he scored a season high of 43 points in 28 minutes playing time. The Suns looked really weak and with the departure of Steve Nash and Grant Hill they seem to be one of the weakest teams in the recent NBA.
The Orlando Magic are the second team qualified for the 2012 playoffs. The only team that could make the Q earlier have been the Miami Heat (50-16). The Indiana Pacers (31-33) surprisingly ended the Heats 17 Game winning streak.

4th quarter collapse costs Magic victory
The Toronto Raptors, worst team of the East, outscored the Orlando Magic with 43 to 20 in the 4th quarter and secured an unexpected win. The Magic already lead by 20 points short before the end of the 3rd quarter and still had a 13 point margin with 6 minutes left in the 4th quarter.
However it was not enought to survive the Raptors charge. Andrea Bragnani who did not hit anything until the last minutes of the Game scored 15 points in the last quarter. Demar DeRozan was on fire shooting 2 three pointers to close out the Game against the Magic.
This could become a very annoying loss for the Magic, due to the fact that the Heat lost against the Bobcats. Orlando missed the chance to stay in touch with Miami (53-17) to battle for the Division crown.

floating
done for the season
East
1. x - Miami Heat > 54-17 > -
Miami did not make a big deal in the regular season. After an average start the Heat rolled on a 17 game winning streak and should secure the 1st seed in the East.
2. x - Orlando Magic > 50-22 > 4.5 GB
After the All-Star break my Magic went down a bit. I lead the league for a long time, but lost the crown to the Heat. However i am going to fight for the title this year.
3. x - Boston Celtics > 49-24 > 6.0 GB
The Celtics reveal to be the third force in the East this year. They did not make a big roster chance, KG, Paul Pierce, Ray Allen and Rondo rock.
4. x - New York Knicks > 46-27 > 9.0 GB
Amare and Melo playing career seasons, in addition to that Baron Davis scores about 18ppg. Linsanity is not a big factor in this one, Lin is going to test Free Agency this summer.
5. x - Chicago Bulls > 44-27 > 10.0 GB
The Bulls are still a solid team but not to compare to the real Bulls. Rose is their best player averaging 24 points. Bulls traded Korver and Watson for Salmons.
6. Indiana Pacers > 36-36 > 18.5 GB
The Pacers did not secure a playoff spot yet but i am sure they will. Indiana started strong, being in the top 4 for a long time but decreased a bit.
7. Detroit Pistons > 37-38 > 19.0 GB
The Pistons came out of nowhere. After the their big trades with the Spurs and Nuggets the Pistons made one step after another. With Gallinari and Parker they are deadly from the ousite and a real scoring threat. Parker had several 40 point games and even a high of 54 points against the Wizards.
8. New Jersey Nets > 35-38 > 20.0 GB
The Nets struggle for the 8th seed the whole season. New Jersey traded Okur for Jefferson from the Spurs. Deron Williams could make a decision this summer, it may depend on the success of the Nets in the last games and whether they make the playoffs or not.
---
9. Milwaukee Bucks > 35-39 > 20.5 GB
In this association the Bucks still have a healthy Bogut and Stephen Jackson. It is still possible for them to reach the Playoffs.
10. Charlotte Bobcats > 34-40 > 21.5 GB
One of the most surprising teams for me. Even they traded their "best" player in Corey Maggette the Bobcats are still fighting for the playoffs. Kemba Walker has a chance to win Rookie of the Year and Jared Dudley has a great season for them.
11. Atlanta Hawks > 33-40 > 22.0 GB
One of the big letdowns this year. The Hawks are likely to miss the playoffs even their team did not change to the previous season. I don't know a reason for that, maybe they can recover somehow and come back next year.
12. Philadelphia 76ers > 31-41 > 24.5 GB
76ers are the next disappointment this year. A promising young team could not answer expectations.
13. Cleveland Cavaliers > 24-48 > 30.5 GB
Year two after LeBrons decision. The Cavs are better than last season but still far away from the playoffs. They made a good move acquiring Marcin Gortat from the Suns.
14. Toronto Raptors > 24-48 > 30.5 GB
No improvement to last year. The Raptors are still trash in the East, they also made a bad trade with the Pacers sending away Amir Johonson and Barbosa.
15. Washington Wizards > 24-49 > 31.0 GB
John Wall still had a great season in this one but it is not enought to bring the Wizards forward yet. We will see if he might get some support next season.

done for the season
West
1. x - Dallas Mavericks > 45-28 > -
Dallas performs much better than most people thought. The departure of Tyson Chandler don't seem to bother them. The Mavs signed FA Gilbert Arenas and he is a solid backup for Jason Kidd.
2. Los Angeles Lakers > 42-29 > 2.0 GB
Kobe might win his next scoring title, he is at 32.1 ppg at the moment. It works out for his team, the Lakers should be a force in this years Western Playoffs.
3. Golden State Warriors > 42-32 > 3.5 GB
The most surprising team of the West. Monta Ellis is playing a MVP season leading his team to a top3 seed in the West. Warriors increased their forces with Pistons NBA Champion Tayshaun Prince.
4. Portland Trailblazers > 41-32 > 4.0 GB
Portland traded Jamal Crawford and Marcus Camby for Steve Nash. After that they send Raymond Felton to my Magic to get Jameer Nelson and some young players. They still have a healthy Greg Oden which makes them a force and a team to look after in the postseason.
5. Oklahoma City Thunder > 40-32 > 4.5 GB
The Thunder were not able to keep up with the Mavericks this season. Despite Durant scoring 32 ppg and Westbrook 25 ppg. The Thunder acquired Trevor Ariza from the Hornets.
6. Denver Nuggets > 40-32 > 4.5 GB
In a close race for the western playoffs seeds the Nuggets still have a good chance to get one of the top seeds. The Nuggets made a big roster change, getting Stuckey + Bynum from the Pistons and Grant Hill from the Suns. Ty Lawson might win the most improved player award this season.
7. Houston Rockets > 40-32 > 4.5 GB
Even the Rockets are only on the 7th spot in the West they are almost sure qualified for the playoffs. There are 6 teams in this 40 to 42 wins range including the Rockets. Houston received Turkoglu and Orton from the Magic.
8. Memphis Grizzlies > 34-38 > 10.5 GB
A huge gap between the 7th and 8th seed. Memphis still needs to fight hard to achieve this 8th seed. The Grizzlies did not make major roster changes this season.
---
9. Los Angeles Clippers > 34-39 > 11.0 GB
CP3 did not change much for the Clippers. Very disappointing season for Paul and the whole team. However the Clippers still have a chance for the 8th seed. Rumors that Paul might left the team in Free Agency are spreading around.
10. Utah Jazz > 34-40 > 11.5 GB
The Jazz improved to last year. Utah did not make many roster changes or trades. They are another team that fights for the 8th seed in the West.
11. New Orleans Hornets > 33-39 > 11.5 GB
The Hornets are better than most people thought after CP3 left the team. Even they are in a rebuilding season they are still close to the playoffs.
12. San Antonio Spurs > 31-41 > 13.5 GB
The Spurs are the biggest letdown of the West and maybe of the whole NBA in my association. They could not recover from their last year fist round playoff out. The Spurs also made a questionable trade sending Tony Parker to the Pistons for the young talents of Brandon Knight.
13. Sacramento Kings > 30-42 > 14.5 GB
The Kings might fight for the playoffs within in the next years, but not in 2012. They have a young talented team and i think their future looks bright in this one.
14. Phoenix Suns > 26-46 > 18.5 GB
The Suns almost traded their whole starting roster. I don't think it will turn out well in a short run, their best players are now Jamal Crawford and Arron Afflalo.
15. Minnesota Timberwolves > 21-51 > 23.5 GB
I think the team with the most potential in my asscociation. I can't believe they made the last place again with this kind of roster. Kevin Love, Derrick Williams, Michael Beasley, Ricky Rubio, Shannon Brown just to mention a few.
