Season Opener for the Mavs against the Spurs @American Airlines Center in Dallas

Up to the Halftime it was a close game. At the Halftime the Spurs are up by 2 (53-51).

But in the second half, Tony Parker hurt his leg and he left the Arena.
After Barry checked in for Parker, the Mavs were on a 22-4 run. In this run, B. Barry produced "9" Turnovers ending in 13 points for the Mavs. The Spurs were down by around 20 at the end of the 3rd Quarter. In the middle of the 4th quarter, Toni Parker comes back into the Game and the Spurs have found there lost performance of the first half. But the Mavs have had a too strong offense for the Spurs and they win by ten.

Dirk Nowitzki was named, as the Player of the Game. He had 33 Points, 7 Rebounds and 1 Assist.
On the other side, Tony Parker and Tim Duncan were the best Players of their Team. Parker made 23 Points, 4 Rebounds and 10 Assists. Duncan had 30 Points and 11 Rebounds.
Manu Ginobili had 19 Points but he only shots 9 out of 30.

Second Season Game against the Rockets @Houston

In the first two Quarters, the Mavs hadn´t had a realistic chance against the terrific Rockets offense.

At the Halftime the Mavericks are down by 12 ( 53-65)
Nowitzki had only 2 Points in the first half.
In the second Half, the Mavs are a lot better in defense, this ends up in 48 points for the Rockets in the seconf half (they had 65 in the first).

Also Nowitzki had a better offensive performance and made 15pkt in the second half.

At 3.5 seconds left on the Game clock, Terry passes the ball to Nowitzki and Nowitzki made a 3-pointer with 0.8 on the Gameclock. But with 4 Points behind they hadn´t really a chance at the end, even if they had a 11-1 run at the middle of the 4th Quarter.

All in all, Nowtzki had a bad evening, especially in the first half, whe he shots 1 out of 7.
In the second half he shots 7 of 9 and they had 17 in the Game with 4 Rebounds and 3 assists.
Absolutely best Player on Mavericks side was Josh Howard with 34 Points, 3 Rebounds and 5 assists. He shoted 15 out of 22 included 4 3-pointers.
Also perfect from the 3-point line was Jason Terry with 5 of 7.

Best Player of the Game was Tracy McGrady. He shoted 16 out of 23. He had also 12 Rebounds and 3 Assists. Alston also played great and had 15 Assists and 22 Points.

Oh a tough loss. I think it is always hard to play against Rockets

Nice to see Gordon top of the list in scoring and Arenas 4th in assists.. Great idea for that Josh pic. Good luck, hope the Mavericks will win it this year..

Awkward Game against the Warriors at Home

The Mavericks had a respectable start against the Warriors. Dallas were down by 4 at the Halftime. But after the Halftime the Mavericks loosed the contact to the Warriors. The Warriors had a 13-0 run in the 3rd Quarter. Dallas came back and was down by 10 at the end of the 3rd Quarter.

In the 4th Quarter the Warriors played fantastic. They had a great FG% in the 4th Quarter with around .650! The Mavericks were shocked about the great performance of the Warriors in the fourth. Nothing worked for the Mavs, no offense and no defensive.

After the winner in the Season opener against the Spurs, the Mavs loosed two in a row and they are now 1-2.

Dirk Nowitzki had 27 Points (12/23), 10 Rebounds and 4 Assists.
Terry had also 27 Points and 6 Assists. Stackhouse were only 4 out of 13 and Howard only scored 7 Points but with less Playtime.

On Warriors side, there are 3 Players that scored +20.
Stephen Jackson scored 38 Points and 6 Rebounds. He scored 15 out of 26 included 4 of 4 3-Pointers. Al Harrington scored 12 Points and he had 11 Rebounds and 3 Blocks. Davis had fantastic 15 Assists and he scored also 26 Points.

Richardson had also a nice Game with 20 Points.

Mavericks beat the Clippers

The Mavericks had a great Game against the Clippers. The Mavs pushed from the beginning and their biggest lead was 28 in the Game.

The Mavericks offense was very good, but their defense was just great.
The Mavs made 7 of 11 3-Pointers.

Nowitzki had a good Game. He throwed 50% (13/26) and he had 26 Points, 4 Rebounds and 4 Assists. Harris made 18 Points and he had also 8 Assists and 6 Steals. Stackhouse was perfect from the 3-Point line, he made for of 4.

On Clippers side, C. Kaman had 17 Rebounds in the Game. Topscorer was Maggette with 29 Points and 3 Rebounds.
