POST GAME REMARKS
20.
@ MIN 61-70: My visit with the Wolves was a different one, as compared to my unsaved one. In the unsaved version, I trailed until after an early 4th quarter comeback.
Thanks to my
full court press, Finley and Terry were able to steal the ball and convert them to easy two's. In the official version (saved game), it was a close one. I lead by up to 10 points until Kevin Garnett took over in the third. He was unstoppable in the post and Nowitzki was just no match. If it were not for my other players like Stackhouse and Finley on the defensive end, I could have been bombarded by KG and company. Terry helped boost our lead. Nowitzki was exceptional in the 4th. With his three-point accuracy, the Wolves trailed for good. Yahoo!

Winning moment: Nowitzki's 3-point shot. We led for good.

vs. SEA 78-65: Seattle's visit was a surprised for us. It was early in the 1st when they were missing shots. All their shots were contested until Ray Allen suddenly burst late in the first. With the support of Rashard Lewis, who by the way rarely missed his jumpshots, the game was as close as it can be. Finley and Allen were trading shots. In the end, Stackhouse and Finley made great shots. But Nowitzki was as productive as he was. With 7 defensive boards and 22 points behind him, he undoubtedly is the player of the game.

@ CHI 73-84: I never thought the Bulls were that good. I clearly underestimated them. It was a heart-pounding game for the Mavs. Nowitzki was injured early in the 1st quarter. I had no choice but to replace him with Alan Henderson. I never thought they would lead by as much as 9. I ended up trailing up to the early 4th quarter. It was a struggle. The game was so close. It was so physical. It was Nowitzki's 3-point shot late in the 4th that decided the game. After that shot, the Bull never made it back.

vs. GSW 85-65: In this game, I decided to give my bench players more playing time since I expected this was a light game. I never expected my bench players were productive. Booth, Harris, and Stackhouse have had a good night. They took over the defense! And so, I decided to concentrate more on defense. The Mavs aren't that bad on defense after all.

vs. ATL 75-66: The Mavs wore their retro jersey from '94-'95 season. Just a typical game, but Dampier gets 17 rebounds making him player of the game.

@ DEN 74-69: The visiting Mavs were no match for Denver's defense. Despite our team's efforts on the defensive end, Denver was just superb in the post. Offensive rebounds were a big factor to Dallas' loss. An upsetting loss to end the month.
