Wow looks like the Warriors were on the opposite end of their own upset.

Offseason Summary

-Traded Stephen Curry, Brandan Wright, and Dan Gadzuric to Los Angeles Clippers for Baron Davis, Deandre Jordan, the 4th pick, and the 36th pick.
-Then traded Charlie Bell, Lou Amundson, and Reggie Williams to Houston for 45th pick and a 2012 first round pick.

The Warriors have the 4th, 22nd, 45th, and 52nd pick in the draft.
-Selected...
>Bill Harrison (PF/C) - 6'11, 216 lbs from UNC-Chapel Hill. Harrison is a superb mid-range shooter, with some three-point range. He can dunk, defend, but his rebounding is substandard for someone his size. He is a horrid dribbler, but makes up for it with his passing and shooting.
>Christopher Worthington (PG) - 5'10, 152 lbs from Purdue. Worthington is a great passer and an amazing ball-handler; he also has nice court vision and is quick. Despite his small stature, he's a decent rebounder and can occasionally put up a dunk, because he's got hops. However, he's probably the worst-shooting point guard in the draft. He was just 3-40 from outside in his two years in Purdue, and will have to work on the shot to get a solid chance in the NBA.
>Nikolas Savnocic (PF/C) - 6'9, 312 lbs from Lithuania. Savnocic is a big dude. So big it's scary. He's a powerful dunker, and he's a pretty solid rebounder, but he's got nothing else. He can't block shots, he's only effective about ten feet from the hoop, and is prone to injuries. He's also 27 years old. He once sustained an ankle injury that kept him out for a year and a half.
>Shane Blake (SG/SF) - 6'2, 205 lbs from Oregon State. Blake is a very undersized swingman. He'll be tossed all over the place, even in the D-League, at the SF position, but he's got some decent skills. He's got hops that easily get him above the rim for exciting slams, good rebounds, and the slightly-more-than-occasional block. He can scorch the net from outside some nights (once going 9-9 in a Seattle high school) but can turn ice-cold others. The 52nd pick of the draft will need to put the extra work in just to scrape the surface in the NBA. He could eventually be used as back-up for Ellis or Hill.

I really wanted the draft pick, plus Curry was always injured and Felton was playing better even when Stephen was healthy.

Done. :(

I got kind of bored of this. So I simulated seasons until Grant Hill retired - the year 2024, after fourteen years in the NBA. Here's the story.

Hill would be traded in his sophomore season to the Anaheim (Sacramento) Kings, and he stayed there until his rookie contract expired in 2013. He refused to sign an extension with the team and became a free agent. He joined the New York Knicks in the offseason for $40M over four years. Playing alongside Carmelo Anthony, Amar'e Stoudemire, and soon-to-be rookie phenom point guard Mack Peterson, Hill would win two rings with the Knicks in 2015 and 2016, was part of the first team's entire starting line-up to play in the same All-Star Game in 2015, and won NBA MVP in 2016. In 2017, however, he decided he wanted to move on. Anthony and Stoudemire chose to do the same. Stoudemire went back the Suns, Carmelo signed with the up-and-coming Cleveland Cavaliers and Hill joined forces with former Rookie Of The Year rival Blake Griffin in Atlanta. The two high-flying superstar forwards dominated for the best four years of their respective careers, collecting two rings in 2019 and 2020. Hill won NBA MVP and Finals MVP in both championship years.

Things took a downturn in January of 2021. Hill's style of play finally caught up to him and he tore his ACL in his last-ever meeting with LeBron James, who would retire with the Heat at the end of the season. Hill, a free agent, signed a single-year contract with the Pistons in August, but never played a game for them. He would play sixth man roles in his final two years in the NBA, with the Thunder in the first half of the 2023 season and the Bobcats in the remainder of 2023 and 2024. Trying to avoid another bad injury, Hill retired a Bobcat and an eight-time All-Star after helping Charlotte's team win its first ring in 2024.

Grant Hill retired as a five-team NBA Champion with three Finals MVP titles. He was also a three-time NBA MVP and eight-time NBA All-Star, winning two MVP awards in those games. He also broke a five-season streak of Kevin Durant's reception of the scoring title after scoring over 36 points per game in the 2019 season. Also a two-time steals leader, he won a DPOY award in his fourth season in the league. After his 18 month recovery process following a devastating ACL tear, Hill played a sixth man role. In his final season, he won the sixth man of the year award and also won the All-Star Weekend 3-Point Contest. He then closed out his career with a 4-0 series sweep of the Portland Trail Blazers in the NBA Finals for his fifth and final title. Hill retired a champion, a clear Hall-Of-Famer, and the standard to which NBA rookies set for themselves.

Yeah, I know, I thought I wanted to make it last, but I never really did, I just finished it and those reserve posts went to waste. :(

I didn't either, but his career numbers seemed to parallel LeBron James' pretty well. :D (He belonged to seven different teams though. :) )
