Wizards Trade Arenas and Hughes, Land Marbury

The Washington Wizards announced a four player deal with the Phoenix Suns. It is the second trade between the two franchise's this season, the first being the Jahidi White-Brevin Knight deal.

To Wizards acquired All-Star point guard Stephon Marbury, while clearing up the log jam in the back court by dealing Gilbert Arenas, Larry Hughes and Chris Whitney to land Marbury.

Wizards rookie Jarvis Hayes will step in as the starting shooting guard for the Wizards, and Juan Dixon becomes the main back-up for Hayes. Dixon will change his jersey number, and will now be wearing the #9 jersey.

The deal also clears up cap room for the Wizards, bringing in Marbury's expiring deal, which gives them an opportunity to try to sign a player like Kevin Garnett if they choose not to re-sign Marbury or both players agree to smaller deals.

How do you change the numbers of players?

simple, go to Roster Management, then Edit Player, find the player, go to his info, scroll down, you'll see a thing for his jersey number, and you can change it. But you can only change numbers on your own team.

Marbury starred in his Wizards debut in Detroit. Starbury was POG with 26 points, 7 rebounds, and 11 assists in the Wizards win. I messed up my season record, I'm now 27-10, not 28-10 as I last reported.

Now you have two good points. Are you going to start Lebron at the 3?

I never used LeBron at PG, I always had him playing at the 3 position. I just lost to the Sonics at home 126-111, after the Sonics jumped out to a quick start in the 4th, and I couldn't recover. Atleast this time I held Ray Allen to under 40 points, he had 37 points. Brent Barry was huge for Seattle with 17 points and 14 assists, while Marbury led the Wizards with 26 points, but on 11-29 shooting. LeBron James had 17 points in a quiet game from him, even though he shot a good 7-11 from the field (fewest FG's I've ever attempted with LeBron!).

I want to start playing LeBron at PG, but I can't with Marbury on the team. So, should I stick with my team how it is, or trade Marbury for a good center or SF? I was thinkin along the lines of Dirk Nowitzki, but I'm not sure. And Starbury's rating has dropped to 79.

Wizards record: 27-12.

I've started again, although I haven't deleted the LeBron Wizards era franchise. I've simulated up to where I was with the other franchise, and boy do I have some work ahead of me. After having Jerry Stackhouse out until January, and having Gilbert Arenas out for that period of time he was actually injured in real life, after simulating game by game, the Wizards sat at 13-27.

I played in Boston, and it was Boston for most of the game, but I had the lead going into the 4th, and kept it, and hitting some crucial shots down the stretch. I took the 104-95 victory, with Larry Hughes hitting a wide-open 3 in the final seconds. Jerry Stackhouse was POG with 32 points, 8 boards and 5 assists.

I simmed the rest of the season, and finished with a dissappointing 31-51 record. The Kings won the NBA title 4-2 over Atlanta, yes, Atlanta.

Anywayz, I scored the #5 pick in the draft and chose a 6'11 center whose last name is Wagner, can't remember his first name. His profile looked good and has excellent potential or whatever that draft thing is. He has no major weaknesses. I let the CPU do the rest of the draft.

I lost Etan Thomas, Brevin Knight and Chris Whitney, even though I only wanted back Etan. Come the trading period, I dealt Stackhouse, Haywood and someone else to the T'Wolves for Kevin Garnett and their rookie (who was later waived). Started the next season, and got some great pick-ups in FA.

Off the top of my head, I remember signing Morris Peterson, and a few other 55-70 rated players. The team now has a rating of 92, a huge improvement from last seasons 78.

Which starting line-up should I go with?

C- Wagner
PF- Kwame
SF- Garnett
SG- Hughes
PG- Arenas

or

C- Garnett
PF- Kwame
SF- Peterson or Hayes
SG- Hughes
PG- Arenas

I'd see how the first one goes, i mean 3 players 6'11+ would be a luxary to any team.
Hughes and Areans also is a solid backcourt, great team, see how the rookie goes, if all else fails, go to the second one :)

Well well well, I had a 21 point lead going into half time in Dallas, and what do you know? I lost by 17. Dallas went on a 22-0 run to start the 3rd. Not happy.

Wizards 107, Nets 111

What the hell is goin on? Juan Dixon goes off, T-Mac is awesome as usual, SAR is playing great, Gilbert is becoming more like Jason Kidd every game, Kwame is a beast, and Hendrick Wagner and Jarvis Hayes are giving me huge production off the bench. So why is my team losing big leads and currently sitting at 1-3? THE DAMN CPU COMEBACK BS!!!

On retro night in New Jersey, the Wizards busted out of the gates early and took a double digit lead in quarter time, lead by Jarvis Hayes off the bench with 12. The lead grew to 17 at half time, now Juan Dixon leading the way with 18. Come the second half, the Nets just kept hitting their 3's, even with 2 pairs of hands in their faces. They chipped away at the lead, and eventually taking a 3 point lead into quarter time. But the Wizards kept fighting, retaking an 8 point lead into the final minutes, but then it's all New Jersey, hitting 3's, hitting contested shots, while the Wizards struggled. It was just a 1 point game in the final 10 seconds, but friggin Jarvis Hayes had to foul Richard Jefferson on a driving lay-up, which he made, goin to the line for the bonus, and making it. Final score, Nets take it 111-107.

Got to play in Indiana AGAIN next game.
