Thanks James...I'm a diehard Knicks fan, so you can expect this to go quite a few seasons

Glad to see some interest in this and glad to have you as a reader

I'm still tinkering with the sliders to make the game play as perfect as possible....expect some games up tomorrow guys and thanks for the replies....

Wed Oct 06, 2004 6:23 am

Got nothing to add, Sauru said it all - so here's another PC user waiting for some dynasty stories :)

Being a Knicks fan myself, this should be double the fun ;)

Wed Oct 06, 2004 6:38 am

Cant wait for your game posts...i live in australia so i have a while to go before i get the game! :)
i dont know if its a good thing or not, your the first to start writing about your dynasty...im kinda taking it as a good sign...maybe people like playing the game too much to stop and post their dynasty stories.
i expected heaps of dynasty stories already.

oh cool..I live in Mill Basin/Bergen Beach

Wow this is great, a Knicks dynasty! I'd do this myself but I barely have the time to play games so I will enjoy reading about your exploits. Good luck with the cap. Oh and I like your starting line-up -- I'm going to have to give a try myself.

Edit: so why Ariza over Shandon on the active roster??

Wed Oct 06, 2004 11:50 am

This Dy-Nasty sounds cool. I started a Knicks dynasty too and it's virtually impossible to get rid of some of those players because of their contracts. I finally managed a Tim Thomas, Shandon Anderson and Vin Baker trade for Johnathan Bender, Stephen Jackson and Croshere. Next to go will be Croshere or Houston. Good luck in getting out of cap hell. Wed Oct 06, 2004 11:56 am

if you make this work, you are great!!

Wed Oct 06, 2004 4:16 pm

Nice start dude, i look foward to the updates.

Shandon is a guy we'll be looking to unload first.....plus the Knicks have a history of not playing rookies, so I want to break that trend.....plus I think Ariza has some talent...

Thanks for all the replies fellas

Wed Oct 06, 2004 11:56 pm

im a knicks fan too, good choice
and i like how you start ariza, i dont really know how, but i expect him to do good this year

Spree Shows Knicks What They Are Missing
The NY Knicks go into this season full of question marks as no one knows exactly what to expect from this band of players Isiah Thomas has assorted.....Opening up against the mighty Timberwolves on the road would prove to be their first stiff test and Latrell Sprewell reminded everyone in the arena how stupid Charles Dolan was for trading him....Spree abused newcomer SG Jamal Crawford to the tune of a game high 31 points in a 80-69 Wolves win.....The Knicks actually started off the game strong and led 23-20 at the end of the first quarter...but Spree and KG heated up in the 2nd and the Wolves outscored NY 29-14 to open up a nice lead.....Knicks trailed as much as 15 before cutting it to 4 on a Tim Thomas three pointer with 2:30 left in the 4th quarter.....after KG misfired from close range, the Knicks had a chance to get with 2, but Allan Houston had the ball stolen from him and KG went the length of the court. throwing down a sick windmill dunk over Houston for the and 1...that sealed the deal.....it also didn't help the Knicks any that both Kurt Thomas and Jerome Williams went down with injuries in the 1st quarter....Williams suffered a strained achilles tendon and did not return, while Kurt did return but clearly wasn't himself, hampered by the leg injury.........

HIGHLIGHTS
Image
KG provides the finishing touches and Houston cannot stop him

Image
Williams had to be helped off the court in the 1st quarter

Final score: Wolves 80, Knicks 69

KNICKS STATS
Sweetney: 14 pts, 7 rebs, 4 ast
T. Thomas: 13 pts, 5 rebs
Marbury: 12 pts, 0 ast
Houston: 10 pts
Ariza: 4 pts, 3 blks

Team FG: 36%

WOLVES STATS
Sprewell: 31 pts, 3pt 4/8
Garnett: 13 pts, 10 rebs, 2 blks
Olowokandi: 5 pts, 13 rebs, 7 blks
Cassell: 10 pts, 6 ast
Szczerbiak: 14 pts, 9 rebs

Team FG: 35%

Image NOTES
Stephon Marbury had ZERO assists, which explains why the Knicks were so stagnant on offense.......
Michael Sweetney played KG as well as you can and even had a decent game himself on the offensive end.....
Rookie SF Trevor Ariza was active on the defensive end with 3 blocks, and looked pretty good out there....

Next Game: Celtics (1-1) vs Knicks (0-1)
