Hey guys. I'm writing to all of you from Seattle as I'm here covering PAX 2010. This is my first time getting to attend this event so I have to say it's been pretty exciting to be able to be here representing the EA SPORTS Community.

Arriving just before the event was about to kick off, the buzz that filled the Convention Center where PAX was to be held was definitely in the air. Looking at the crowds of people waiting to lineup before the event kicked off it was evident that this year's PAX was going to be big. While getting our EA SPORTS booth set up I was listening to the crowd as they were counting down when the doors would be open to the general public. To say that the crowd that was awaiting to get through the doors was large is an understatement. The picture below doesn't really do the crowd justice but trust me, if you were in that crowd you should know how many people were lining up waiting to get into showfloor.

Here at PAX 2010 from the EA SPORTS side of things we have NBA JAM on both the Wii and Xbox 360 on display as well as NHL Slapshot. We have four dedicated stations of NBA JAM on the Wii at the EA SPORTS booth, there are two Xbox 360 stations for NBA JAM as well as two stations for NHL Slapshot. I was amazed at the amount of activiy that all the stations had during the day. Working with the EA SPORTS staff helping to demo the games for all of our guests, it was exciting to see so many people play both NHL Slapshot and NBA JAM and have a really good time playing the games. From the JAM side of things, the main message I was getting from gamers who had the chance to play it was that it was awesome and that it stays true to the original. Despite the presence of the 360 version of the game, I had a number of people tell me that the game was meant to be played on the Wii due to the fun motion controls in the game. The 360 version of JAM was also full of active gamers and everyone was loving the graphics in the game. With full HD visuals on display, NBA JAM was looking very beautiful at PAX.

Probably my favorite part of the entire booth was this epic looking NBA JAM arcade cabinet. On the last day of PAX there's going to be a draw to be able to win this incredible NBA JAM arcade cabinet. This is the one time where being an EA employee is not to my benefit because I would love having a NBA JAM arcade machine siting in my basement. If you want to check out what the arcade cabinet looks like, head to our NBA JAM Facebook page to check out the sweet cabinet.

I'll be here at PAX throughout the duration of the event. Be sure to follow me on Twitter @blackflash83 for all the latest info coming from the EA SPORTS side of things as well as any additional basketball community news that may be occurring outside of this event. I'll be back tomorrow with another blog here at PAX. Enjoy your weekend and if you happen to be here at PAX come down to the EA SPORTS booth to say hi.

Jam sounds like it's going to be a success. Wouldn't mind that arcade machine myself. (Y)
