Trying to Play NBA live 2000 for Pc but its not working.HELP

I just re bought the game 4 pc cuz its my favorite live game...but wen i put it in it had an area...sumthing about dumping or crash or sumthing...then i looked up on sum other message board 2 do this and that..and now it says NBAWIN.ICS has encountered a problem and needs 2 be closed...SOMEONE HELP ME PLEASE

2000 works for some people in XP, but I never got it to. It definitely doesn't work in Vista or 7.
