i am getting tired to change the control type from keyboard to joystick
is there a way to chage the deafult controller to joystick?
by the way... i wish to change the deafult roster to updated roster too
not by loading the saved file. but to replace the deafult one. so dont need to load the roster again and again..

Is your joystick supported by the the game? If so, it should be selected as the default controller. At least, that's how it's always been in my experience.

You can replace the default rosters with a roster patch by copying the dbf files from the roster update into all the database folders (originaldb, currentdb, workingdb etc). You might want to make a backup of the original folders though in case you need to restore them at some point.

That could be the reason. PS2 controllers can be used so long as you have an adapter but since it's not a supported PC gamepad it might not be able to recognise it as the default controller. I use a Logitech gamepad so I can't really offer any advice but perhaps someone else who uses a PS2 controller with the PC adapter can offer a few tips.

If you werent planning on using any other controllers, you could just remove all of the controller profiles except for the one you saved for yours. That would make your profile the only one selectable. That worked/works for me cause the only one playing on my laptop is, well, me. lol Of course have the common sense to backup the other profile just in case.

I think he is talking about the profile. I tried deleting the other profiles but they just come back. (maceo24how did you do it?) The way I got it to use a roster update as the default roster is put all the files in this folder. Then just hit reset roster when you get in the game.

C:\Documents and Settings\name of your pc here\My Documents\NBA LIVE 07\database\originaldb

EDIT: It seems as if the profiles in the D and S folder has to be the same as the ones in the EA folder or it replaces them off the CD I guess. It might be the same way with the roster also. :?:
