Edit - Wait, do you mean how do I edit the file globally? I use DBF Viewer, it has "Multiple Record Updating" where you can use expressions to make a global change, like subtracting or multiplying, filtering the records so only players who are point guards get changed, etc.). I think CDBFlite can use expressions to edit dbf files globally, too. I saw a page on the web about it but I didn't understand it and I can't find it now.

ooh okay, thats obviously on PC, looks like ill have to put up with James Posey averaging 4 blocks a game :D

Looks like NBA Live 2005 could be the game to challenge NBA Live 2000, both own 20% of the vote at the moment.

I voted for NBA Live 06 this time around. I actually don't dislike FSS (though I'd like to see it improved and refined so it achieves its purpose without being overpowering or detracting from the realism) and I'd have to say my NBA Live 06 Dynasty was my favourite to date because it had the most ups and downs with players getting injured forcing me to make adjustments, trying different lineups and making a couple of roster moves to try and stay afloat during the difficult period (Ben Gordon missing 20 games with a broken hand).

NBA Live 07 is by the far the best game with all these patches available for it. I also have good memories about live 99 for some reason

I only played Live 2000 and 2007, so I'd have to go with 2000.

It's a toss-up between 2000 and 2005 for me.
The main thing that annoys me with 2005 is the PDA.
The only gripe I have about 2000 is that it's old.

I voted 2005.
Too much of a good thing (Live 2000) is bad for me.

If were talking about non-patched games It's Live 2005 all the way...

I think at the time 2000 came out I barely knew what real basketball was like. A fan for years, but 12 years old ...... So NBA live 2000 was very very entertaining for me, I played it for hours but it wasnt realistic I think.

2005 was really cool and the first live I played a complete 82 games season (with the Nuggets)

But 06 was the game I enjoyed most, maybe just because of my Dynasty with the Knicks and all the things I did around the game but not only playing it.

So my vote goes to 06 although I did not play 2003 and 2004.

NBA Live 99 was the first game I played, but I never really got into it. Then was 2002, but that was kinda a drag.

2005 was the first basketball game I played for three years, and I found it much better than crappy un-modded 07 (I uninstalled it the day after I installed it to get my 05 back...I wish I had space for both so I could install SUM 07 :S). I got my copy of NBA Live 2000 for like, $5 on Ebay a few months ago. It's a great game, but I gotta vote for 2005, mainly because it had (IMO) the most balanced gameplay. Though thanks to all the wonderful people here, none of the NBA games are truly bad now.

I spent the most time playing NBA Live 2000, and having Jordan (non-patch) made it fun.

After that, probably NBA Live 07 because of all the patches :)

I've only played Live 2000, 2005, 06, and 07.

I have to admit I'm surprised by the results so far. I had anticipated NBA Live 2000 would continue to reign supreme even with some of the older members moving on. Seems NBA Live 2005 has become the new NBA Live 2000 in terms of being the favourite amongst the active fanbase.

^I guess you're getting a little too old now, eh Andrew? The age of the people in the forums are getting younger and younger, so I guess most of the voters have just started getting into basketball during the early 2000's and recently began starting following the NBA much more closely.

I know it's not that popular, but NBA Live 2004 got me back into the series since I sort of put off basketball gaming after Live '98. That damn hop-step was mighty abusive though.

Edit: I forgot to mention that it's the only game that looks half decent on my shitty ass graphics card.

If 22 is getting too old I'm not looking forward to turning 30. :P As I said I still thought NBA Live 2000 would be in the lead even though a lot of the older members have moved on since it generally still comes up as the game touted as being the pinnacle of the series.

Actually, it's more surprising that NBA Live 07 is just edging 2000 for second place at the moment. I wouldn't have expected it to rank higher than NBA Live 06 or NBA Live 2004, let alone one that still remains popular going on eight years after its release.

Damn young punks voting for Live 07. :)

Maybe it's because of the patches for 07. Damn excellent patchers.

What keeps me hating both 06 and 07 is the removal of the backdown button.

Having picked up the 360 version recently, I would have much preferred if they'd adopted a similar control layout for Current Gen since back down/box out is assigned to a shoulder button.

i also like how they did the prohop and layup button on the 360. Tap Y for prohop, hold it for a layup.
Opinions are my own.

I'm not sure what 05 is like. But the fluency of the game in 04 is much better than 06 and 07. Not to mention how awsome it is that it is much easier to back down, power dribble and pro-hop (as mentioned earlier).

Can you even do a power dribble in 06 and 07?

You can do that, with a controller or with PPJoy.

In Live 2004, pro-hop is unstoppable. This makes inside drives easy.
