I can't believe you guys are forgetting the 3 team trade feature from NBA Live 2001. This was very fun and exciting. It was challenging to set up a fair trade for all 3 sides, and also to work out the salaries.

its truly unfortunate what has happened to the live series. I've been playing live since 96 on the cpu. I recently purchased a PS3 and im so angry with the crap of a game called Live07 that I think I will give the 2K games a try this year. I really hope EA surprises us and gives us the basketball game we are waiting for... but I wont hold my breath :(

lol I swear that feature never worked correctly, because your players had to go to the two teams, you couldnt trade from one team to another (correct me if im wrong but thats what I remember)

It worked but it was restrictive in that you couldn't propose deals between the CPU teams. Sometimes it was helpful in making trades work under the salary cap but I'd say a majority of players were disappointed with the feature because of the restrictions that were in place.

NBA Live just keeps getting worse and worse.
I still have a copy of NBA Courtside 2002 and I still play because it has some of the features I would love in a basketball game.
-Team Practice
-Arcade Mode
There are others, but I can't think of any right now.
NBA Live will probably just be a rent from now on. If Jordan somehow gets back in this game, I'll consider buying it again.
