No problem at all. I haven't given an update in a while, and I really don't mind doing it.
First of all, a lot is happening with ATTRIBDB right now - as in, TODAY. I'll specifically post about it when there's a resolution, but I can at least say that I finally found the right guy. Today (an hour before you posted, coincidentally?), he sent me a dump of all ATTRIBDB tables. It's pretty incredible to see the things that I need to modify. However, modifying ATTRIBDB is different matter, and that's not looking so good. Fingers are firmly crossed.
For the last couple months, there's been renewed hope that ATTRIBDB will happen. There is a mountain of work that ATTRIBDB would quickly eliminate. As such, I have (and will continue to) completely avoided this work. This is 90% of the work that's left to do for 2010's OFE, and a majority of the work for LOFE v2.0 and 2000's OFE.
In the meantime, I've been working on 2020's OFE v4.0. All kinds of new stuff, but I don't think there's anything earth-shattering. I don't know when it'll be ready for release, but if there's a major trade, I'm sure I'll rush to get it done.
I think there will finally be a resolution to the ATTRIBDB situation soon. It'll either be editable, or there will be no reason to hold onto any hope for it to happen because this guy says it's a dead end. Either way, I should be able to move forward with a firm plan of what to work on.
Unrelated to JAM, I took a couple weeks in September to revisit my 2007 mod of Ken Griffey Jr. Presents Major League Baseball for SNES. It was fun to come back to that game after 18 years and use so much of what I've learned in the last two decades to make a very polished release of that game.
