I'd leave Shaq in the 90s All-Stars personally, if only because you need to cut the roster down to a maximum of 15 players. I'd suggest:

Tim Duncan
Kevin Garnett
LeBron James
Kobe Bryant
Allen Iverson
Steve Nash
Vince Carter
Ray Allen
Paul Pierce
Carmelo Anthony
Jason Kidd
Tracy McGrady
Dwyane Wade
Dirk Nowitzki
Chris Webber

Shaq is already on the 90's, so I think Andrew's list is good, but I think if Bosh is not on the list neither should Carmelo because Bosh has 2 all star games while Melo has one, they both could be in the 2010 decade team along with other young people like Dwight, Amare, Arenas, Yao, Parker, Wade, & James because they will come up in many more all-star gams past 2010. It's a tough decision, but for the 3 spots of James, Melo, & Wade on Andrew's list, I think I would take:
Jermaine
Marion
Big Ben

If not them then:
Mourning (if not on 90's)
Francis
Sheed
Baron
Starbury
Antoine
Mutombo
Brand
Peja
Sprewell
Stackhouse
in that order depending on the postion needed most becasue all 14 of those players have multiple all-star appearances.

Tim Duncan C
Dwyane Wade-->Big Ben C
Carmelo Anthony-->Jermaine C
Kevin Garnett PF
Dirk Nowitzki PF
Chris Webber PF
LeBron James-->Marion SF
Tracy McGrady SF
Paul Pierce SF
Kobe Bryant SG
Vince Carter SG
Ray Allen SG
Allen Iverson PG
Steve Nash PG
Jason Kidd PG

This lineup evens out the roster with 3 players at each positon so it's good.

Jermaine O'Neal is a good inclusion, I definitely overlooked him when I suggested that list. Marion and Wallace certainly have their share of All-Star appearances but I think in terms of being more significant to the decade, LeBron, Melo and Wade rank above them as the top players on their team. As far as Bosh and Melo are concerned, I think Melo has been just as deserving but being in the West he's been overlooked a couple of times before his play was finally recognised. That said, Bosh is definitely a worthy candidate too.

I guess one could always drop someibe like Chris Webber who established himself as a perennial All-Star in the late 90s/early this decade in favour of just having the stars who are still making the All-Star teams and the new batch of star players like LeBron and co, or perhaps even divide the decade up into two teams.

yee making 2 decade teams would be good like one of them for the players like carter, iverson, webber, and the NBA superstars that emerged in the late 90s early 00s and another decade team with yao, amare, dwight, james, and superstars who are up and coming just now or you could just do 2000 team with the present stars like JO and a 2010 with the future stars like Melo and everybody

Well as I said, Shaquille O'Neal and Chris Webber are two players you could drop since Shaq's already in the 90s All-Stars and Webber's kind of between eras as well.

for a 2k decade team, my 2 cents...

C-Shaq (dominated thru 2003, still won a chip in 2006)
PF-KG (the best all-around player in the NBA for a long time, and it can be argued that he still is)
SF-Lebron (he's good and he'll probably be good for a long time)
SG- Kobe (3 rings)
PG- AI (the quintessential scorer his whole career)
bench
Duncan
Nash
Dwight
Amare
Kidd
Tmac
Wade

Based on the best of the decade in topic:

Shaq - one MVP and led/helped his team to 4 championships.
Duncan - two time MVP and led his team to 3 championships.
Lebron - I would put KG in here but I wanted a SF. Led his team to the Finals, best player in the NBA not named Kobe.
Kobe - 3 rings and a record 81.
Nash - back-to-back MVP.

Garnett - won MVP. Very skilled also, 'nuff said.
Iverson - won MVP and has consistent insane scoring numbers for a 3 guard.
Kidd - leads the league in triple-doubles.
Nowitzki - won MVP. That's it.
T-Mac - second only to Kobe in terms of dominance in the 2 spot. Two-time scoring leader.
Jermaine O'Neal - check out his stats and All-Star inclusions, even if plagued by injuries.
Vince Carter
Wade
Paul Pierce/Ben Wallace
Ray Allen/Yao

He's established himself as a perennial All-Star so depending on your criteria for the Y2K All-Stars (eg if you'd move Shaq from the 90s All-Stars or not) he's at least a candidate.
