Yes, that's done. The Spurs are currently Wemby, Fox, Vassell, and CP

Very curious to see who you put for the rockets. They have Sengun, green, Amen, brooks, FVV. Any chance they have city edition uniforms? My brother designed them.

You're really up to date. :)

Maybe suggestion to add Zubac in Clippers. He's also important role in LAC.

Bingo. This is exactly why they haven't been created, and why they won't be in v1.0. It's a tough decision! Creating player head textures takes time, so I try to avoid working on players that might fizzle out and be unused in these projects. I kept putting them off, waiting to see who emerges, but even now it's not any clearer to me. If I decided to create them today, I think it would be Sengun/Green, but Thompson is just incredible and might be their best player in a year (or in a WEEK). Also, I think Fred is super critical to their offense. It'd be great to just create them all, but that's a big time investment. I'm gonna keep waiting and see what happens. I'll add them when I have more time - hopefully before the playoffs.

First of all, that's really cool that your brother did that. But no, I'm not doing any special unis - especially not ones that a team only uses for a year or so

I just saw a picture of Luka in a Lakers uniform for the first time. It reminded me of seeing Shaq in a Lakers jersey after playing for the Magic. Pretty friggin cool.

I'm putting the final touches on 2020's On Fire Edition v1.0. It should be released either today or tomorrow.

johnz1,

Dear JohnZ1,

On behalf of all of my friends and I who play NBA Jam: On Fire Edition, we would like to thank you so very much for what you have done on these projects!!!! You are a true legend of the video game world.

We've been playing the original NBA Jam and On Fire edition on the XBox 360 up until we heard about your mod last year and all we could talk about is how great an update would be! You answered our prayers. We have played every Monday night for countless hours for the last year! Its becoming a great tradition. We definitely need to get online and battle with you and your buddies, we will give you a run for your money.

We listened to your podcast...are you from Cleveland? Because that's where we live. If you live anywhere near or are ever in town, my friends and I want to throw you a party! I'm serious, these mods rock and you're the freaking man! The detail in the players, coaches and fans...come on! 1st class stuff. We can't thank you enough. The games are perfect, EA needs to hire you immediately.

Please feel free to reach out, we have a rather large NBA Jam community here in Cleveland and we would love to hear from the legend himself!

Also, I'm a huge Tecmo Super Bowl fan, so I'll be trying out your mod on that as well!

Thank you!
Antonio

I have officially looked into modding the Xbox 360 version of OFE. While non-3D texture files are identical to the PS3 version, 3D textures use a different file format (XPR instead of DDS). If I wanted to create Xbox 360 versions of my OFE projects, it would require a parallel workflow for texture creation. Unfortunately, that's an absolute non-starter for me.

Completely understandable. I have to imagine that Xbox 360 emulation lagging behind what's been done with PS3 is also a major issue, being the easiest way to install these mods.

Kinda new to the community it's awesome to be able to talk to like minded sports game fanatics like myself. Just one quick question is there a video pictorial on how to set up NBA jam on fire addition on PS3 emulator? Thanks

Hi, I've just downloaded the 1990's, 2020's and legends mods, and I loved each one of them! Nba jam OFE was one of my favourite games during the time I had a ps3, and it's amazing to be able to play it in it's full glory!
I wanted to ask: are there any news about the evolution of this projects? Besides that, I would like to make a suggestion: add Dino radja to the 1990's Boston Celtics in the 1990's mod.

Sure, but I'm not exactly sure what you're looking for. Are you just looking for project updates, or modding breakthroughs, or a road map?

I completely agree. He should be the #1 or #2 player on the 90s Celtics. He is on the short list of players that didn't make the cut

I took at least a couple weeks off after the release of 2020's OFE v1.0, but I'm back working on it again.

v2.0 will add DET, HOU, and TOR, and I'm working on their player heads now. The uniforms are done, and I think they look great. Unfortunately, in order to add three more teams I needed to shift around some player models. I'm wrapping up a four-team player model swap - something that absolutely wouldn't be necessary if ATTRIBDB were editable.

I've had the time to make a lot of small changes recently. Jaren Jackson Jr's last name is now "JACKSON JR.". LAC Harden's head isn't way too small anymore. LAC Kawhi's away shoes are now white/light blue. A bunch of players' accessories have been updated. SGA now wears long shorts.

The modding guide has gotten attention, too. The major roadblock right now is that the bounce.db editor app is simply unusable. I think it always had crashing issues, but now it's so bad that you can't even scroll to see all of a player's parameters. So I'm going to have to get help (because I am certainly not a VB programmer) or come up with something different. The way I manipulate bounce.db is about 2 generations removed from this editor app. I have absolutely everything in a SQLite DB, and a VB app leverages that to apply changes to bounce.db. I recognize that this isn't for the faint of heart, so I want the modding guide to have something much more simple.

Thank you so much for all your admirable work. I hope you never tire of achieving all the goals you've set for this game.

FYI, I finally found a way to get all the versions without the "Trial" label.

The explanation for my problem was here:

And now it looks like this:

(Same in-game, it's perfect)

To achieve this, I copied the files located in ...\dev_hdd0\game\NPUBXXXXX\C00 to ...\dev_hdd0\game\NPUBXXXXX

Quite simply.
