live & nba 2k rivalry

recently me & a couple of my hommies was debating on which is better . personally i like 2k. but that doesn't mean im a fanboy. which ever basketball game is better the year it comes out thats the one ima get .a couple ppl say EA is bigger with more money & thats there opinion why live is a better game. ..i refuse to believe any of that b.S ..but i would like to know some proven facts on whats better at what . lets break this down . who has the better foul shot, physics,commentating ,signature style ,cross over , crossover combo , post game ,cpu A.I,realism ,etc. i would like to hear folks true opinion not the bias B.S im used to hearing ...............really i thought 2k9 was b,s this year .but im forced to like it during the end of the season.but i also heard live wasn't that great neither...

EA changed their series to be titled NBA Live. Sega hired (and eventually bought) Visual Concepts to create sports titles for the Dreamcast, one of the first of which was NBA 2K. The Dreamcast died so they made 2K for the other consoles (eventually being sold to Take Two), and then last year PC.

A bit of a tangent here, but some of the debates over NBA Live and NBA 2K seem to almost reach PC vs Mac and Star Wars vs Star Trek levels these days at least amongst the most enthusiastic fans, each side accusing one another of being haters and fanboys according to their affiliation.

actually, not so much this year

2k9 wasn't up to par with the progression from 2k7 to 2k8, and Live 09 won some hearts with it's good core gameplay even though the animations are lacking.


This is judging from less troll threads over at OS of course.

If NBA Live '10 comes out for PC and it still has free player DNA updates, I'm getting it.

NBA Live 365 will definitely be free again this year from what I hear but there's still no confirmation of a PC version as yet.
