Looks like we were way off in our speculation on the big announcement.
EA Sports have announced that Tim Kitzrow, the original voice of NBA Jam, is back to call the action in the new game. They have also announced a Catchphrase Contest, inviting the community to submit their own catchphrases for different gameplay actions including dunks, assists, alley oops, blocks, three point shots, two point field goals, "on fire" shots, steals, shot clock violations, rebounds and missed shots. Enter the contest via
this app on the official NBA Jam Facebook page, full rules and conditions of entry can be found
here on the official website.

I would be disappointed if "BOOM! Goes the dynamite!" doesn't make it in the game.

I'd assume someone's submitted it, if it hasn't already been recorded.
