Rating recent PS2 NBA Lives & Live 06

Hi guys,

looking for some help. I haven't played Live 07 as I heard it's really bad.

I do own 2K7 but haven't really played it enough, and miss that Live feeling.

Could you rank the last few Lives % wise, just the rankings. I'm considering buying Live 06 again - what are the main faults with the game?

As far as NBA Live on the PS2 is concerned, I'd rank the recent games as follows:

NBA Live 06
NBA Live 2005
NBA Live 07 (though it'd be on par with 06 if a fix was available for the consoles)

Thanks Andrew. I've seen a lot of messages in a number of forums, saying 2005 was a better game on PS2 than 06, both in terms of gameplay and graphics.

I believe 06 was better, yes there's a problem with the number 6 and 8 on scores, which is not much of a problem. But at least that annoying 'too many blocks' part had been fixed.

Could I bother you for the sliders you finished up using? I'll try and see if I can get them from the correct post, but it's been some time.

What about NBA Live 04? Where would you place that with 05 and 06?

I'm struggling to prefer 06 over 05. Yes there's no problem with the blocks, but the graphics appear to have taken a step backwards and the players tend to slide a little too much.

I've never played 04. I may pick it up if it's worth a look, or would you suggest sticking with 05?

Personally I couldn't go back to NBA Live 2004 after playing NBA Live 2005.

Live 2005 (Best gameplay, graphics and intervene feature debut)
Live 2004 (Weak graphics and no sim intervene feature, but realistic gameplay)
Live 06 (A step backwards from 2005 in almost every way)
Live 07 (This game sucks)

Uh...yeah. I have all four, I'm doing my dynasty on 05 because of the gameplay and the fact that when up-to-date, wipes the floor with 07 and 06
