Nba 07 ITZ metter

Postby dannyo on Sun Nov 06, 2005 9:10 am

I have an wish-feature for future Live series games. Why not put sort of a in the zone meter like in top spin. The more shots player makes in an amount of time the more "in the zone" he gets. When player gets in the zone his ratings will play allong the ITZ meter. For example Damon Jones starts hiting 2 3pts in a row with great passes of their teammates and gets in the zone and also with his high 3pt ratings you will be forced to double him or guard him with high pressure. And also if Damon hits well from the baseline hi will get more ITZ and have a better chance hitting 3pts. I you cover that player good for a quarter he will get out of the zone. I think that would really add another dimension into the game.

Sounds like NBA Jam. Too much of an arcade feature.

No, I think if it's done right it would work. It's realistic, to a point, if a player gets 'hot' for a couple minutes.

We can always count on EA to have something "done right."

Im a sim-bball fans also and understand that ITZ metter would have to be very toned down so it doesnt get out of control like FSS this year. You don`t wanna have 4 players ITZ quickly just by hitting couple open shots.
Majbe it should do something with the harmony of the team- if the team plays good I mean assists, steals-fastbreaks, rebounds... I would get you a better chance to get ITZ. Of course I thinks you should have a ITZ slider so you could adjust it.

Just like having the offensive rebound sliders in NBA Live 06. It works perfectly (Y)

This use to be in the game back in the day. Remember, youy'd hit a few in a row and the disc under your man wouold start to blink. Get him the rock while he was on fire and he'd light it up.

I think that feature that Mysticsmoke mentioned is still there. I'm quite sure it was there in live 2005 anyhow. However, it doesn't do that much though.
Bored.
