Change player ratings on PS2

I am new to this, but I have been playing NBA Live's in the past, however on '07 I can't change my created players' ratings. How can I change him from a stinking 60 overall? May I also change other players' ratings. It's happened easier in every other Live, what's wrong with 07? Once again I am new and don't have the manual. It may be very easy but I need help on the PS2, it is strange.

In Edit Player, you can toggle between a player's information (jersey number, position etc) and his ratings.
