You can replace the generated faces by modifying the PLYRXXX.fsh files (where XXX is a number). Be warned that the game reuses those generic faces over and over again, so if you make a change for one player that face is going to be used for any player who has been assigned that face.

If you wanted to assign a specific face to a generated player, you'd have to make a new face file that uses a unique PLAYERPKG.

Hello, i have a problem which comes close to this one:

I loaded some PLAYERPKG files on some generated rookies with a .dbf editor.

Some players causes problems for example Walt Williams. Black head white body:

i think the original generated player was a pale skin.

the steps i did in .dbf files:

players.dbf
1. renamed the generated Player in Walt Williams
2. loaded the WAWILLIPKG into the players.dbf
3. set ISCREATED to False because otherwise the playerportrait didnt show up
4. changed speachID
5. wrote down the player ID 2243

appearence.dbf
1. changed the Color from 0 to 4 in line 2243

result:
- cyberface and portrait is loaded in game
- speach works
- pale body with black Walt Williams head

i tryed several times changing the COLOR value but nothing happened. Maybe i missed something i didnt notice or recognize?

In most cases the body fits to the face because the original and loaded player had the same / nearly the same color.

I would appreciate any help, thank you !

When i edit the row which is above the line the player should have, in this example its 2241 it suddenly works fine. Someone has an explanation for that?
However the problem is solved on this way

When the players ID is i.e. 2175 i edit APPEARID 2174 then it works.

Same with height, weight ..... thats no problem at all know that i noticed that, but strange though

I edited 15 generated players so far and it was always the row above

I use the 91/92 roster patch from the download section.

It could be that a row of data has previously been deleted. It's likely an issue related to something that was done in the creation of the roster, as it's not supposed to work that way.
